  1. What vehicle have we progressed onto now then ?
  2. Silly question, but sometimes it's obvious stuff we miss.................looking at the workshop manual (attached) is one of the screws (no 2) still in the hole, that would stop the airbag dropping down..... ??
  3. Body control module, basically everything to some extent runs through it.
  4. Ok then I would be checking / looking at the connections on the BCM then for "potential" corrosion / water damage. its located up under the dash above your knees, if your going to investigate / disconnect it, disconnect the battery FIRST
  5. I would be checking the wiring in the bellows between the body and the tailgate for broken wires.
  6. anything cheap with nav and all the gizmos etc etc from china will be slow, annoying and probably sound crap aswell. You would be better off buying a decent single DIN unit, something like a Sony with bluetooth / USB inputs and play the music either from your phone (spotify for example) or off a mem stick.
  7. it is HIGHLY unlikely you would need a new headlight even "if" they remove the bumper to remove the headlight..............simple. The side light bulb just pulls out, they can be sticky if been in there a few years, but it should be possible to do without removing headlight. You could "release" the fuel filter, then the housing itself as well to gain more room if it's certainly needed.
  8. did not look very far then.................multiple availability. https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/6r0423156b-power-steering-pump-trw-germany-oe-producer-23195.html https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/6r0423156b
  9. you need to post in the Yeti forum unless a mod can move this.........
  10. I'm interested to know why the part is not available in AUS ? should be able to be ordered by any dealer, skoda or VW unless it's actually discontinued
  11. prices are currently very strong as with all used cars, whether realistic and achievable who knows. Just look on Ebay / Autotrader to get an idea.......off the top of my head, anywhere between £5500 - 7000 "ish"
  12. Assuming you have a trip computer as well (button on end of the wiper stalk) then ignition ON, Button under stalk to access "normal" menu items Rocker switch on End of stalk - hold down Scroll down to service select with button underneath follow screen prompts. Made a quick video of it showing the process.... WhatsApp Video 2022-10-29 at 1.26.14 AM.mp4
  13. Totally agree, setting the projector lamps to limit of 0.5% makes a massive difference when on the road at night, mine were originally down at nearly 2%
  14. the original link / video worked fine for me, you now know what it is, whether they are supposed to make that noise ie continually operate I'm not sure, need someone else with an oil burner to confirm. I suspect it's normal operation.
  15. yes its replacable, but you need to "copy" the config from your unit to then copy it to the new one, doing this will require dealer diagnostic tools or VCDS or similar. My question would be, "if" a whack has fixed it and its a dodgy connection, it may well be worth disconnecting the battery, then unplugging the BCM completely, having a nosy at the plugs for condition, if all appears well then reconnect and see how it goes. It is entirely possible that the connection to 1 or a few pins has been "broken" / dislodged after its been plugged in for over 10 years in a car enviroment with vibration, bumps and bangs etc etc, so definitely worth a try imo.
  16. I use Philips extreme power halogen, similar to the night breakers (never used those though)
  17. Not sure what you are trying to achieve to be honest ?? The 2 pictures are totally different in shape as well, one is square the other round at the base, not a big issue but indicates a very different fitment and the bottom one is not even a Fabia.
  18. Try different settings with the recirc button on / off, could it possibly be it's the closure flap motor trying to operate, thats the only thing I can think is in that area which moves.
  19. Simple answer, put dog in boot in future !!! 😁
  20. Not sure if it will be easy to prise off with the door trim on..................hence official procedure tells you to remove door trim first.
  21. I "think" your after either of these 2 ??? One is 2 pin, one is 3 pin.
  22. between seats there is an aux port using a phono lead.
  23. mmmm...... Your VCDS is very out of date,.....current version is 22.9 Are you using a "dummy" / 3rd party interface ? can you not update that first, then try again ?
