  1. most likely broken wires in the rubber boot between the A pillar and and the door..............common problem.
  2. you keep trying..............
  3. if your looking for a slanging match, look elsewhere.....
  4. Fuse 22 which is a 7.5amp powers the OBD port.
  5. does it work like this from BOTH the drivers door and passenger door switch ? If it does, then its "possible" that "either" side of the vehicle has had broken wires in the door loom between door and A pillar (common problem) and the wires have been repaired at some point and maybe connected the wrong way around.
  6. Probably true................but not sure on the logic to be honest......................why take apart 2 seats when you can just buy a pad and fix one so they both work
  7. mmm heated seats..................still debating this one................ Cruise, fitted to mine, did not really "need" it, just wanted to do it.
  8. run mine on both fuels, it's happy with either.
  9. Part number it seems is correct ref the age of the vehicle............ although thats a "passenger door" motor..... The "control unit" is part of the Drivers door motor, which would be 6Y2959802
  10. Water should not come in the vent, but you need the vent to "equalise" the pressure in the vehicle.....if the vent "is" allowing water in, it needs replacing "Imo". You would be better off sitting in the car whilst someone with a hose or better still a pressure washer soaks the car and especially around all the boot shut lines (where it seals) ...... then hopefully you will see where its coming in. You def need to find it first to fix it.
  11. have a read........ https://www.obd-codes.com/p046c My first port of call would be to check the plug condition / connection on the sensor. Do you know if a genuine skoda sensor was fitted ? or was it an aftermarket one as this could also point to early failure.
  12. broken wires in door loom between door and A pillar most likely.............very common and lots of posts on here.
  13. edit to my previous post PIN 2 would be connected to Brown with Yellow trace on the Fabia
  14. Ok, so that means....... PIN 1 is connected to earth / ground. Brown wire PIN 2 is connectecd to the same colour from / spliced of the front interior light (this is most likely a switched earth controlled by the onboard supply unit)..................... Brown with Black trace wire PIN 3 is the positive / supply connection from the onboard control unit, probably "easiest" to splice from the front light as well. ............Red with black trace wire
  15. what light from what year of Polo ? piccy ?
  16. http://www.oemepc.com/skoda/part_single/catalog/sk/markt/CZ/modell/FAB/year/2005/drive_standart/453/hg_ug/941/subcategory/941000/part_id/2547532/lang/e#sec_14 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-VW-Skoda-VAG-10-pin-connector-housing-plug-1J0973735-Headlight/253743177615?hash=item3b14459f8f:g:aokAAOSwUrJf9v4j
  17. Any fault in the park aid system would stop it working "imo" Need to get that sensor replaced.
  18. got a link to it ?
  19. Did you fit a Fabia switch / genuine Part ?
  20. not trying to look good at all, don't know why you think that. Additionally, you seem to have become abusive and agressive for no reason and I can assure you I am no tight ass but even if I was it has diddly squat to do with you. What I disagree with is you suggesting that spending £200 on coil packs will stop engine issues, because it won't............. and yes your right 90% of the engine misfire issues are due it seems to plug failure, not nessessarily coil packs. and that "imo" is mostly due to the fact they cannot last the life they were expected to by the manufacturer, or they are simply an inferior product, hence they were "updated". Read or believe what you want, no skin of my nose but I can certainly say that if you replace the plugs at lesser intervals with a better product you will most likely irradicate plug failure still using factory coil packs. Offcourse there are other circumstances if you let one of these tuners **** with your car and increase combustion temperatures etc etc etc then "maybe" the R8 packs "may" help...who knows, maybe they just mask a problem added by a crap tune....who knows. Google R8 coil packs and see how much "hype" is disgruntled by many on endless VAG forums.
  21. So let me get this straight......... Your saying if we don't spend £200 + on R8 coil packs our engines will need replacing ?
  22. I agree, it seems it's looking for something thats not there and "should" never have been till now.............................. unless offcourse the previous owner had one in, had it coded but never changed it back when they removed the nav unit to sell seperately most likely.
  23. Here you go........ What's the issue your having ?
