  1. Thats how it reads to me. The wiring for the foglights is pretty straight forward after looking at wiring diagrams. I would just send message to confirm it is for Fabia 5J as the listing states from 2004, Fabia 2 started in 2007 /08
  2. No I don't think so, the loom has all the correct "connectors" already on it, ie for the back of the lamps themselves, and the other wires are pre-pinned with the correct terminals to enable you to insert into the relevant connectors which according to the listing they e-mail to you. As mentioned in the listing, they may go into the light switch as well as the central control unit. You would 100% need the correct light switch with Front fog option for that loom to work. Seems like a good buy if you def want to retro fit front fog lights. You could offcourse buy all the bits required yourself, similar to what I did to retro-fit rear electric windows, but you need the full wiring diagrams etc to see what you need to buy.
  3. you need a new switch to do it correctly, vehicles without front fogs don't have the front option on the light switch, like the vRS.
  4. enjoy it as it is, get used to how she performs and how reliable she is before going near any maps "imo"
  5. what did she cost you ??
  6. Did you configure the car that the Amundsen was fitted / coded correctly
  7. full steering lock with wheels on you should be able to see the roll bar to measure
  8. no the RS does not have fogs, they are DRL's. Proabably the best place to look is around behind the drivers headlight, see if there are any wires going down to the fog light area etc.
  9. Have you looked behind the grilles ? I think the plugs "may" be there
  10. Check ALL the hoses and around the cylinder head and airbox including crankcase breather hoses, airbox connections and PCV valve. One of those is split / leaking / disconnected.
  11. You need VCDS or similar to scan the DSG properly.
  12. the place the water gets in if anywhere is underneath the windscreen scuttle panel (panel under wipers). Thats where the wiring looms etc pass from inside the engine to the vehicle interior. That place you see in your image which looks wet, is most likely just a result of the seal you see along the scuttle panel not in the correct place / fitted correctly, so when its raining heavy and wipers are on the water is going under that seal and down the front of the bulkhead soaking the insulation.
  13. According to this from ETKA, the CTHE only ever went in the Polo GTi, no other VW's ever had it.
  14. Sorry cannot help, I always upgrade with factory stuff nowadays, the last aftermarket radio I fitted was a single DIN Alpine in a Vauxhall GSI 300024v carlton in about 1999
  15. Ok so my theory although sounded good is complete trash LOL heres my sticker, very similar and no obvious ref to CTHE has a C in the same place as yours.....so how you would def determine the diff I am not sure. Im sure a scan of the barcode would help though !!
  16. Ok will go and check, I have a feeling it will show CTH as above but an E where the C is..........could be wrong tho some more info, The CTHE was ONLY fitted to the Polo GTI fabia RS and Seat and ended in May 2014. None of the other VAG cars got it. I think what you have is a CTHC from touran which is 103Kw or 140 HP made from May 2010 - May 2015
  17. As far as I was aware the CTHE was up until 2014 as was the Fabia RS, whether the engine in the Seat or VW polo carried on a bit longer who knows. Where on the engine is that sticker ?? If i can see mine will go have a look
  18. Why do you need a remote control out of interest ? Fabia is not a big car This is one of the issues with these aftermarket Radio's, there are often many extra things you need to purchase for full functionality. Personally I think the manufacturer ie Pioneer should list what you need to fit to what car, but they are not that bothered once they have your money for the unit, its then left to the purchaser to find out all the info which is quite a task on some vehicles. Your best bet "imo" is contact Poineer or an old fashioned good car hi fi shop for advice on what ISO adapters / connectors you need.
  19. you need to look with a mirror first "imo" as you make knock it further down by just probing with a magnet......... PS how did it get down there anyway, left on dash whislt driving ?
  20. like this.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dual-Twin-Double-Fakra-to-DIN-Aerial-Adaptor-Adapter-Antenna-for-Audi-VW-Seat/183597700112 PS the EDIT function is under the 3 little dots on the far right corner of the post.

  22. he has listed it wrong, that will fit your car. Part number is in piccy....... 5J9807431 the 5J is the Fabia 2.
  23. I did not believe it a t first, but the dash has to come out to get to it according to the workshop manual................absolutley crazy design..... So I would assume its a good few hours to do.................however......... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cr8IIU1RkLk
  24. if your not bothered as its "temp" then this is cheap and free delivery https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-FABIA-ESTATE-MONTE-CARLO-REAR-BUMPER-2014-2017-GENUINE-SKODA-PART-N3C/283910510106?hash=item421a62961a:g:I7oAAOSw7e5bPfMD
