  1. Thanks But what is the difference in height between the top of the spare tyre to the top of the false floor? I am tying to understand how much extra depth i would gain by taking out the rear seats and putting a floor directly on the spare tyre THANKS
  2. Hi @gojoholo I am looking at getting the Kodiaq - unfortunately now the 5 Seater is not available - so need to order the 7 I would need to remove the rear most seats and the vari floor section you show. I prefer to have the spare wheel. You say that you have the spare wheel below the mat - I assume its in a polystyrene support with tools.... Can you measure how much lower to the surface of the mat to the top of the side box (how much extra depth you gain) ? Also does the mat go all the way under - or just the up to the 7 seats.. Does anyone know the correct part number for the floor mat I would need to go ontop of the space saving spare wheel? THANKS
  3. Yes - you use the key to prise off the end bit of the plastic handle to reveal the lock..
  4. I have the Yeti SEL Drive and the Karoq Edition both 4x4 2.0 TDI The Karoq - really is a step forward in terms of ride and gadgets and safety technology. No regrets... The Yeti has 1 more year on lease - but we needed a bigger car for the wife for the grand children - hence we swapped Citigo to Karoq The Karoq feels much more roomy inside than the Yeti.. When the Yeti Lease is up - maybe get a Kodiaq if the sensible head wins out over the desire for a Discovery... or Defender..
  5. I believe its possible - but its not the camera its the radar sensor that controls it. You need the revised switch gear and also 2 different tyoes of coding and maybe the new radar sensor.... Its not easy... A German company was offering the kit - from memory about £1200 - but you had to take the car there. As its a safety system its not as simple a tweak. There is a few threads on here... ave a search..
  6. Check in the bag with the compressor.. thats where mine was...
  7. I think GAP insurance is worthwhile - not from Dealer - you will find supplier on here or on internet. Service plan and also extended guarantee are good options you can buy the same kit that dealer uses much cheaper on internet for the protection and it’s a few hours yourself doing the valet on a new car. or take it to a detailed and get them to do it or just wash it as per your normal regime.. not sure how much difference the extra protection adds..
  8. I think the issue he is looking for 225 50 R18.. which seems an uncommon size and not in your list above either.
  9. One more - but looks more like a summer tyre than all season by the tread pattern.
  10. The PDF attached came from Skoda - bottom of page shows the source..
  11. But I do not see a problem changing to one width smaller as you suggest... but it is not listed on the approved list for your car from manufacturer.... so i suggest you check with your insurance.. I bought the 215/55 R17 for my 2.0 TDI 4x4 for the winter wheel/tyre image2019-04-09-160220.pdf
  12. Not a great choice - but there is 2 run flat - and 1 normal All Season.. - This is My Tyres N Just 1 Run Flat All Season with Oponeo..
  13. Do you have to use SD or can you use USB drive?
  14. Depends - if you buy the GAP through the dealer or one of the online brokers.... I buy online at a fraction of the dealer cost and buy a combined gap that will cover me whether its on finance or not and pay the difference between new and write off price.... so basically pays the difference between settlement and new vehicle price at time of right off. I am not sure the policy details you bought.. so its difficult to give advise...
  15. I doubt very much they will accept payment via a credit card as they would be liable to an additional cost / charge for the CC transaction anywhere between 0.75% and 3% of the transaction value depending on the type of card and card issuer They will probably accept a payment by debit card which draws down immediately on your bank with no or minimal fees but normally they want a BACS transfer
  16. Then 17" has the best choice of tyre manufacturers at the recommended size at a good price. My edition as standard has the 19" Crater I went for 17" Triton - with 215 55 R17 tyres - Goodyear Ultragrip Gen 1 at £650 for the set of alloys and £400 for the tyres + £40 fitting I prefered the 18" Mitykas - wheels were marginally more expensive but tyre choice was much less and much more expensive. From memory £700 wheels and £600 for tyres and £40 fit
  17. If you want Winter wheel without Chains then all are ok but tyre availability is limited and cost is higher or 18 and 19 i went with 17” as as has been said the accessory brochure or the Skoda doe pal or many other websites give info most of the Karoo sizes are ET45 5 x 112 fixing 57.1 bore 7 inch on 17” up to 215/225 wide tyres
  18. Mine sometimes returns - sometimes does not... but if thats the only issue I have - i can live with it..
  19. You paid for options as you seem to have extra parking sensor to me...??
  20. The AC can be set to higher power via the menu on the AC unit and the screen. You also need to not be in Eco Mode.. because that also cuts power. There may also be ways to increase power via VCDS further... that I do not know.
  21. Also me - I am at a loss as to why you need to do this. For phone only - you can charge in the box next to the USB infront of the gear lever and use Android Auto / Apple Car Play or Bluetooth. For Waze or other apps - again Apple Car Play... Why do you need the phone there.... to entise you to answer emails when your driving? As Silver said - the Kodiaq does away with the need for the phone holder now..
