Manoeuvre braking, Park Assist, Front Assist all disabled
Thought I’d just add that there can be an issue if your towbar installer isn’t using the latest software for 2020+ models, it won’t update all of the modules and give these errors.

Help with iV charging timer for off peak charging
I think I found one of the issues, I had minimum charge set to 50% which may be why it was always trying to charge immediately.

Help with iV charging timer for off peak charging
Hi guys can anyone help me with the off peak timing for Charing the car off the 3pin plug? Everytime I stop the car and plug it in it just starts charging, the little timer on the front charging port is lit orange and the power light is green, the dash also shows a green plug and the time to finish charging. When I go to the app ot says it’s charging. I then have to stop the charge. also have trouble with the app, it keeps deleting all the charging schedules. The car seems to keep its charging schedule but I never set that in the car, I created it on the app! Confused!!! I use the 3pin charger because I have an iPace plugged into the smart wall charger on Ocotpus Intelligent, so I get 6hrs at 5p off peak. many thanks

Wireless charger gets really hot (and so does phone)
My thought too, the arm rest is air conditioned and the glove box, but they stuck it in the ash tray… I’ve got a Spigen cover on it, I could try it without it to enhance cooling but i would do something stupid like pick it up and drop it out of the door whilst putting the case back on. Wife’s iphone13 has an original Apple phone cover

AC front seats work great, until something weird happens
THere are quite a few different sensors to direct the climate control, have you scanned the car for any faults at all? One that can cause problems similar to this is the sensor on the top of the dashboard near the windscreen to detect ambient air temp.

Wireless charger gets really hot (and so does phone)
Looks like the Octavia has the same issue... and BMW from this video which is actually really brilliantly explained. Wireless carplay plus wireless charging plus any apps running = hot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_9gaLdfc_Y&ab_channel=PetrolPed

Wireless charging + Wireless connection = Freezing phone on long trips
I have this same problem on my 2022 Superb, iphone 12 mini. My battery health is 82% so that may have something to do with it, but the wife's iphone 13 also gets pretty warm and when I touch the charging pad its pretty hot. What I have done instead is used the USB in the arm rest to charge the phone (not the USB-C by the charger as that is highspeed-data but low watts), but its a bit rubbish considering there is a wireless charger there. The problem is worse if the phone is low on charge and im running wireless carplay and im running googlemaps.

Wireless charger gets really hot (and so does phone)
I've got the wireless charger in my car, the one that is a little mat where I'm sure an ashtray once was in front of the gearstick. I have an iphone 12 mini, its a bit temperamental at charging and sometimes pops up on the screen saying device not detected, the same happens with my wifes iphone 13. The bit that worries me is that the thing gets hot, and by hot, I mean that last week my iphone cut out with the red thermometer. My iphone 12 has a battery health of 82% so this could be it I guess, but the wife's is a new iPhone13 and hers gets quite warm too. When I remove the phone and touch the charging pad its really hot. Does anyone else have this issue? Is this normal or do I need to get it booked in? Its done 700miles.

Detachable towbar on a Sportline being today (iV combi)
yep checked all of that on the V5 etc before I bought it, there were a few that had 0 for towing capacity hence my worry when I bought it. all coded correctly and brings up the trailer when in reverse and the boot doesn’t open by remote when plugged in and it locks out eco mode etc. it’s pretty much impossible to find one with a factory towbar to purchase at the moment, but practical caravan gave very good reviews for the new Passat GTE.

Detachable towbar on a Sportline being today (iV combi)
All fitted and working well, it was done by three guys actually. One does the mechanical stuff, one does the wiring etc and one does the coding. With the Sportline apparently the ones that don’t have a cutout underneath already cause problems unless it’s a westfalia, I didn’t ask too many questions as it seemed to be mostly to do with the adblue tank and fitting the metal at the back and fouling the bumper. the guys seemed really knowledgable, they said a lot of fitters at the moment don’t have good enough kit to code the newer cars, particularly when it comes to 2022+ models as the older coding kit causes problems with models with the front radar system. towbar is totally invisible when it isn’t attached. I went for 13pin and they fitted it for a caravan spec and not just a bike trailer, although it’s only the latter I will be using it for a lot of newer trailers from eg Thule are starting to have reverse lights fitted.

Detachable towbar on a Sportline being today (iV combi)
Having the above fitted today, it’s a Westfalia one and I’ve had to wait a while for them to come back into stock from the supplier. It’s being fitted at a long standing and reputable aftermarket company who fits for VAG, BMW and Mercedes and is a Westfalia authorised fitter. I had a weird conversation with the main guy actually, I got the impression they had never fitted one to an iV before and possibly had visions of the battery being in the boot or the bumper or something weird. I assured him it was able to tow and showed him a video of a Westfalia one being fitted up north to a 2020 iV. He then said they’d had trouble fitting a detachable to a regular Sportline yesterday but it was not a westfalia one, which made me curious because as far as I knew all the rear bumpers were the same with just a change in trim on the bottom? Now have negative visions of the bumper half back on and no towbar, but will see what happens by lunchtime!

Great thanks everyone, it just looked weird being white!

Superb iV delivery time - advice
I spoke to the head of brand at my local Audi dealership back in March, I wanted an A6 Hybrid but he said there is no chance of it ever arriving after the meeting he’d had in MK that week, that is, the ev line had stopped building and that an alternative wiring loom provider (amongst other bits) was being sourced.. He said to go for an interim car that will meet my needs for now and then in a couple years the crisis may have blown over and I might be able to order a new A6 Etron. So I went from a Disco Sport P300e, to an A6 Hybrid to a pre-registered Superb Sportline+ iV. I love the skoda, it had 6miles on it and a significant wack off the retail price (compared to Landrover who were adding £5k to the retail price for a pre-owned model!) bmw have a similar issue, their headlights are all made in Ukraine.

Should the headlight switch glow green?
When selecting auto I get green, and when selecting sidelights I get green, but when selecting headlights I get white?

Electric Tailgate Closing - Using Fob
This post may have just saved me hours of trying to figure out the logic of the electric boot on the skoda superb. Not seen this written anywhere!

Superb IV improving battery performance
I’ve got an iPace coming in August and the charger is free so I asked for it early!

Superb IV improving battery performance
Ahh, this is really helpful! Yea in that case my 4.1mi did have a reduced mpg, but most of my battery only trips are between 2.9-3.4. I’ve only done 230miles in it at the moment, charging on the 3pin charger while I wait for the 7kw unit to be installed at the beginning of June.

Superb IV improving battery performance
I average 4mi/kw on electric only (see attached from the app). But the app and the car never show more than 24miles electric range available when fully charged. I don’t get more than 20miles range before the battery shows solid red (having a red light on the dash annoys me), now admittedly I’m in Wiltshire which is hilly 50mph roads, but something doesn’t add up… I showed all of this to the service dept at my Skoda dealer, I also showed the DTC that I had got but they claimed Carista was wrong and their diagnostics found nothing. When I asked can they just search for any updates, they claimed there is no such update in existence. id be really interested to hear which dealerships folk have been to, mine is both a Kia and a Skoda dealer and they say I should be driving it in hybrid mode to get the most out of the battery as battery only will give vastly reduced range?

Superb IV improving battery performance
Yes I’ve got a 22 superb iv sportline, just not updated profile to add it

Superb IV improving battery performance
are you (and others) driving in hybrid or electric only? I charge at the slow rate too.. edit just saw traps said electric only

Superb IV improving battery performance
Do these codes only come up when charging? I’m getting 20miles despite pre heating on the cable etc and carista told me I had P33DF00: Rated current request too low P33E000: Target/actual current deviation too large so I took it to skoda and they said there were no error codes?!?! Not sure what to do now, maybe take it to an independent or something, car is brand new.

2022 Estate - alarm keeps going off
I believe I may have found the problem, the wife left the dog crate cooling fans running (old car had switched live power points)

2022 Estate - alarm keeps going off
There was a problem with the servers last week that control MyŠKODA etc, but I’d be surprised if that was the issue?

2022 Estate - alarm keeps going off
Car is brand new, done 150 miles. It was fine until 2 days ago and now the alarm keeps going off (maybe twice a day) triggered by the interior sensors, there is nothing in the car. Anyone else had this problem or have suggestions? Only thing I’ve done in the last week is fit a nextbase dashcam and that is wired to the rear wiper.

Superb iV boot mats
I’ve gone for the carmats4u one, it fits well and flexes with the lifting floor. I intend to slice through the mat and the floor so they’re almost in half as I have a dog crate on one side which prevents the floor being lifted to hide the charging cables away
