Tried to renew warranty in the November sale by paying for everything including servicing upfront for 2 years but Skoda wouldn’t allow it. Just got the renewal through for warranty and it’s gone up 300% from what I’ve been paying the last couple of times :(

I wondered if anyone had come across this issue? I took the car in for the charging flap actuator failing shut, and the dealership have had a moan about me “modifying the car” (splitter was fitted when car was new by an authorised bodyshop, Maxton parts were on another Skoda in the dealership window when I bought it) and saying they need to remove the splitter because it’s incorrectly fitted etc. to remove the bumper to carry out the warranty work. I don’t mind them doing all of that, I just wondered if anyone else had this issue? I’m not there to see why it’s an problem. This same dealership also moaned about a set of sport springs on my previous Skoda on a service - a set of eibach springs that Skoda themselves sold under a Skoda part number.

The MIB3 used to display a zero emission page for the iV which was quite nifty showing % of journey driven as zero emissions. With upgrades towards version 330 this has disappeared. cant upload a picture for some reason

I've noticed that 0330 seems to have removed some of the information for the iV. On e-info page it used to tell you how many miles of your journey were zero emission, eg how helpful the battery was, but that is no longer there, unless someone knows where it is? No joy with 18.2.1 sadly, I update the 12 to that and it works fine, but the 13 still will only work with the cable. Really annoying. Strangely when I search for problems with wireless carplay the iphone 13 comes up a few times, but i think that is proabbly a coincidence

Car is a 2022 Superb. Really struggling to get wireless CarPlay working on my wife’s iPhone 13 and I’m almost at a loss, the dealership were hopeless and didn’t even bother to update the MIB. Wireless CarPlay worked fine for ages and then the update 17.6.2 came and it started getting flakey in the iPhone 13. I assumed it was the car because my iPhone 12 on a lower software worked ok. I’ve since updated to the latest iOS and mine works fine in the car. Both phones work fine in our other car (Jaguar iPace) and worked fine on a BMW iX we had for a while. Note, plugging the cable in on the iPhone 13 works fine. iPhone 13 has been completely disconnected including forget the vehicle under CarPlay menu and Bluetooth and on the MIB as well. iPhone has been completely reset and is now in the latest iOS version The car is also on the latest version thanks to this thead below

Ah nice, when I called round a lot of people last year ABT were the only people who could do the MY22+ car. I found a lot of places listed the 1.4iv but couldn’t do it. forge make a brilliant induction kit which I’ve looked at a lot, just needs their dump valve as well as it’s a tight fit.

Racing line don’t do a software tune for the Skoda, the only people that do anything are the guys at Milton Keynes that do all the Cupra stuff for Seat.

I had mine done at an independent, it’s nearly 3 years old but was a pre registered so is 3yrs owned in May, done 18k. Exactly the same advisory, will get it repaired as I’m not even trying to argue a warranty job. I usually get a service and MOT done on the same day at the main dealer, my theory being they can’t fail a mot if they serviced it properly 😕. But the main dealer couldn’t mot it on the days I wanted.

Yes know Milton Keynes quite well. The life of a DPf can be around 150k miles, but, VAg DPF will give you the best idea what is going on. Your 288 engine has two EGR valves and they’re less susceptible than the ea189 used to be but which is where a lot of the historical thinking can come from, it’s not infallible though. Start/stop not working is a sure sign of either battery or an active regen running. Did you have the battery fitted and coded or fit yourself? They’re a glassmat battery and they don’t like just being swapped over defo see how your long journey goes

Like Gabbo says, you could do with an OBD reader and VagDpf (android only) to see what is happening. There is some good info here on your journey times in the cold, the car needs a series of parameters to complete an active regeneration (post injection fuelling) which includes a minimum amount of fuel and no caution/EML lights and a few other things. If the car has been slowly building up soot then it may have gone beyond its normal regeneration point and hence will require a much longer journey to complete a full regeneration. The other thing that affects your regen rate is your ash buildup in the DPF, which is invariably related to how many miles the engine has done and is usually measure by differential pressure and converted into a measure. On your longer journeys it is likely that the car is completing a passive regeneration, Im not sure why you would be getting a DPF fault though, but it is sometimes a sign that an EGR valve is on it's way out, how many miles has your car done?

Unless they've changed the amp output, the USB-C is the worlds slowest charger ever and you're better off using the USB-A in the armrest. It was put there to transfer data. Your hybrid requires the Skoda navigation to calculate how much battery to use on journeys, if you use googlemaps etc then it has no idea what so ever and goes to a standard setting. THere are various modes you can use, it defaults to EV only but you can change this to hybrid. Hybrid Auto will have the car choose what it thinks is best for your journey (as per using the map), but if you're doing a there and back journey with no additional charging you will want to untick auto and then set the accumulator to 50% (note you cannot set 50% so its either 60 or 40) so that it saves battery for the return journey. In hybrid mode on longer journeys (200 miles) I get about 70-80 miles of EV driving on one charge, the regen is ok but not a miracle worker. Pull the shifter back one to get B mode instead of D. I drove full laden with a trailer and a roofbox to St Andrews over Xmas and got 58mpg out of it, on 100 mile trips to the outlaws with less weight I normally get around 80mpg. Pure electric and nothing else is between 22-35miles depending on temp and terrain.

Update: 0330 updated to the Skoda, it took quite a while. I wish I had taken more photos of it happening as the menu and workflow isn't totally logical when seeing it for the first time. Anyway, all updated. Annoyingly, the wireless Carplay problem persists on the iPhone 13 with iOS 18; its only an issue in the Skoda as well, works fine on BMW, Jaguar etc. I tried an iPhone 12 (same phone basically) with iOS 17 and that seems to work fine in the Skoda - I haven't tried updating the 12 to iOS 18 yet, but I will try a few resets and removal/reinstalls of phone/carplay to completely remove the handshake. Everything works perfectly when using the USB cable though, its purely a wireless Carplay issue. Thanks so much for the help!

Many thanks for the reply I tried it again but just held menu and then it booted in engineering mode and the updates ran, i updated to 0306 and then 0308 (found it in the Kamiq thread) I will download 0330 later and update to that at the weekend. Thanks so much for your help! Hopefully it resolves the carplay issues, a couple of the guys on the Kamiq group said it resolved their android auto issues. Just annoying that it went into Skoda for it and they shrugged their shoulders about it, but didn't bother doing these updates!

Update: I unpacked 0306 onto a USB-C stick formated to ex-fat, two folders Data and Meta on the root of the stick. I plugged into the car and went to the page and pressed "software update" and nothing happens 😕 On the Kamiq forums they talk about entering engineering mode or something? They also say Fat32. Might try it again on saturday as don't have loads of time today. I think I have to hold Menu for 3 secs

Just checking, on the mega.nz there is only 0306 and 0330, there is no 0308. Do you know where I can get 0308 from so I can then go to 0330? Many thanks

I’ve got a USB-A in the glove box and then that low-powered USB-c in the wireless charging ashtray.

There was a recall to do with battery shielding from memory for a few MSNs, if you check the DVla website it will tell you. you can pick up a service pack from Skoda, it’s £22pm and includes MOT, extended warranty is a bargain £550pa and includes Skoda assist. only thing you should need is maybe springs and you might find one of the active dampers is on its way out, I think the dampers are £70 a corner. Then it’s the usual bushings etc for the age.

Worst case Splice it into the rear speakers, usually those all in one subs are able to cope with different line inputs and have a loom for going straight from your amp pre-out if available or piggybacking your speakers.

I get 24miles out of mine pure electric in the winter and 30+ in the summer. it always defaults to ev only mode every time you start it, you have to select hybrid mode to get anything different. its quite pokey in EV only mode, keeping grip can be the main issue when pulling out of junctions because of the torque. in hybrid mode you get about 60miles of EV driving on longer trips eg 200miles, this is due to coasting and regerating. It works best when using the cars satnav, if you use CarPlay etc it has no idea how far you’re going etc. SEL defo worth it over SE, way more standard equipment. Mine does random ghost charging occasionally that they haven’t go to the bottom of; it seems to be if I plug it in at night but go back for something in it later. charging flap actuator sometimes sticks, spray silicon helps but sometimes they just need replacing. it charges slow, but it’s fine if you just charge at home. there is nothing on the market that can carry the amount of stuff that the superb can, I’ve tried a few different cars including a Discovery!

I’m certain that my software version is causing issues for wireless CarPlay after reading the Enyaq forums. I wondered what version I am running (I think 3.02) and what I should be running? It doesn’t really do any SOTA updates for its software that I have noticed, only apps and navigation

I had this, see my post. Had to go in the workshop and have a major update. What year model is it? You will likely be stuck with engine only, and no safety camera stuff. youre best calling Skoda assist and having it relayed to the dealer, then they will have to give you a car.

Had issues with the above version of IOS. 17.5.1 works fine but 17.6.1 didn’t want to connect any longer. An infotainment reset and forgetting the car via Bluetooth on the phone didn’t work. eventually I went to the following on the phone: settings>general>carplay>skoda>forget this car then I went to smart link on the car, settings and then mobile devices, and clicked the CarPlay icon on the troublesome phone. CarPlay now works again on 17.6.1
