Oh right, how sad that they’ve not decided to just post with a fee. They can post as replacement parts to avoid customs or just keep orders below the threshold, postage certainly hasn’t changed! Maybe it’s too much of an export paperwork headache…. It’s just annoying some things they will post and others they won’t.

Wasn't sure where to post this. I was trying to order a few items from Superskoda, but it kept saying the stuff I was ordering was overweight. I'm not sure if they go from a weight/volume, but I didn't think ordering a vinyl bumper protector weighing a few grams would weigh 3kg and cause issues, ditto for mudflaps. The only thing I seem to be able to order without causing a problem is some led lights and a keyfob. Has anyone ordered from SUperskoda recently? I used a link to raise the issue on their website, but haven't heard back.

seems to have been removed completely from the options building list now, for any engine, in the UK that is.

The batteries are under the rear seats, not in the boot.

Are those the original skoda mudflaps on the front with the regier skirts?

I’m one of the people who has bought an iV due to the 18% capital allowance, otherwise I would have gone for the 2.0 4x4. We’ve got an iPace on order, it’s purely for commuting - charge a bit at home, fully charge it at work.

Can I ask what the benefit of doing this is? If you set desisred battery level for example 50%, doesn't that just reduce the amount of distance you can drive on battery for? Is this a way of trying to reduce emissions, eg 10miles out of city, sit on motorway 70miles, 10miles into city. Cheers

I have a 2018 Discovery 3.0SD6, the iV Sportline is the same road tax. Going into London I don't pay the emissions charge in the Discovery, but if I use the 1.6tdi Fabia hack, I have to pay the daily charge because its Euro5. The fabia is £20 road tax. It's all a load of rubbish.

Cheers patent, yes I’ve asked for the numbers off the V5 but waiting for them to come back to me. No way I’d install a towbar without a rating on the V5

This is why I love Briskoda though, someone has always solved the problem before you! im looking at buying an iV estate, it doesn’t have the towbar prep done though. I’m either looking for an oem retrofit or an aftermarket, but don’t really want to then have to take it to a dealer for them to fix the ACC afterwards. im in Salisbury but regularly up at Heathrow

Does this come with the car as standard? I can’t see an option for it anywhere…or maybe it’s been removed from options because of the world falling apart?

I’ve replaced a drivers side glass before now that burnt out, but recently I’ve had both driver and passenger sides stop working. Just checked fuse 18 and that looks fine so looks like the door cards are coming off 😞. @Merlindriverwhere abouts we’re your wires damaged? Near the switch or near down near the door hinge that has the rubber boot on it?

Where are you based sgt1297? I think you need a specialist electronics VAG garage to look at it. Don’t go to Skoda asking for an ECU update because they will just give you the latest emissions software.

I got it from an online nav shop, not a dealership. Have asked for another card so will see what happens! Does yours show rh76jl, tw62qd or so160ys? Where did you get yours from Chris?

I’ve tried V12 maps, at first glance it seems to be brilliant... and then you try postcodes, nearly all of which are missing from the history of my travel on mine. To make things worse work which has been there 50yrs and my house which has been there 200 years and everything in between do not exist in the postcode database. unsure if this is a one off problem or everyone has it, I’ve asked some folk on the Skoda Facebook group to try some postcodes for me.

I think the stretched chain was an issue on pre 2012 models, since then a new chain and new pulleys have been fitted (and eventually a change to a belt). From what I read, is that the timing being out prematurely kills the pulleys which consequently fails the chain. Not sure if that answers the question though.

Yes I only put it on halfway for now so that the torx screw has something to tighten against. Looks like I need to get the file out on the brass bracket from that photo and make it thinner, I seem to remember greenstripe saying something similar. i did wonder about one of the brackets from the USA, but will give filing a whirl first.
