Perfect weather today to fit this. Bought from Kopacek but like @yesman I had to cut back the 3 prongs on the back to fit as they were too long

Yeah, was going to last year but thought I'd wait until spring/summer this year hoping there would be some cheaper ones on eBay! There's a few on eBay but not in Meteor Grey, not a common enough colour I guess. Ordering from Kopacek now, and looking at other stuff on there to waste my money on 🤣

The twin USB socket got delivered today. I ended up breaking the plastic on the old 12V socket to remove it from the tray. It was probably a 30 minute job in total if you exclude the 2+ hrs I wasted trying to remove the old 12V socket without damaging it 🤣 @JR RS Did you manage to get the plastic nut in behind the new socket to secure it? The one I had was obstructed so wouldn't spin. The hole in the tray isn't a full circle, it has a flat section, which makes the new socket secure enough without the nut as you have to force it in.

Hi @petrolcan , I saw your post above in @JR RS thread. Do you remember how to remove the metal part, I've been trying all sorts of ways for 2hrs and it won't budge!

Removing the tray was easy enough, removing the socket from the tray not so. There are 2 clips holding the black plastic to the tray but they don't retract?

Ah! Remove the tray first rather than the socket, I will give that a go, thanks! @JR RS it looks like you used the existing loom and wired that to the new socket, is that correct?

I have the flush Belkin one at the moment but want 2 USB-C sockets. I don't think there is a flush twin USB-C adaptor that still allows the cover to close

The Gen2 version of AAWireless 1 did have CarPlay, might be worth getting a 2nd hand one of those whilst you wait for the new model. https://9to5google.com/2025/02/25/aawireless-original-returns-to-sale/ The cause for a return of the original AAWireless is unclear especially as it was fully removed from Amazon for a while, but it does come with a noteworthy benefit. I was thinking that but it must have been a facelift update. @SomeOfTheGear it does give you the option of sourcing the parts from the facelist model to hook up the USB in the box

The AAWireless 2 is only a few months old, I think the upcoming version adds CarPlay. We have had 2 AAWireless 1's since they came out and they've been fine. Don't get the Motorola version, it's rubbish

Why not just enable wireless Android Auto (link below), then you can charge your phone under the arm rest. The AAWireless dongle should fit in the front cubby hole with a right-angled connector enabling you to close it https://www.aawireless.io/en

No motor debris in the pollen filter, it does need replacing though! I'll book in it at the dealers to see what the noise is

From what I worked out if you set it to manual whatever colour you set appear on all driving modes. With automatic it chooses the colour for you on the default modes and Individual is that last colour you set in manual

Worked it out. It changed background colours from auto to manual. I usually use the 'Individual' driving mode so I set that to blue whilst in manual (background colours )then set it to auto. Now each mode is a different colour 👍

I had an OTA update on my FL Superb last week and it seems to have set all the accent colours on all driving modes to blue. Previously they were all set to different colours. Did anybody else notice this?

I've had this noise since I got my car last year, it's coming up to the end of the 3yr warranty this year so I need to get it sorted at the dealer. Can anyone identify the noise, it happens when I turn on the fans (ac or not). It's coming from behind the glovebox so I presume it's a relay but wanted to check here first. Pxl 20250223 130606925.mp4
