2021 superb 280
Actually, it's only for 1st registration or for imported car (even if not new). I haven't heard about it... I hope there isn't such a new tax. I'm ok to make efforts to reduce CO2 emissions, but such a car-bashing is... As @newbie69 said, there will be a huge demand increase on used market.... Complete non-sense... A good example of how a decision lead to the complete opposite effect of what was expected.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Hi all, About 1 year ago, a rodent made a real mess on 3 harnesses on my wife Audi Q3 (25 cuts in total! ). I had repaired everything and sprayed generously Bardhal anti-rodent product in the engine bay. Last week, another (the same ?) rodent came again. The engine cover and the battery plastic cover were full of muddy foot prints and this squatter had obviously planned to settle in the engine bay for a while, since I even discovered an old stale piece of bread close to the fuses box . OK, No time for procrastinating anymore. I immediately cleaned all plastic covers with white spirit and I treated all of them with used engine oil (only a thin film applied with an old rag) : 1) it re-impregnates plastics and gives them a pleasing satin appearance 2) It's a rodent repellent since they don't like oil smell on their fur, and it's hard for them to get rid of it. And I sprayed anti-rodent product again on all hoses and harnesses. Additionally I installed an anti-rodent ultrasound box. I ordered another one the same day for my Superb Mk3. Today I did the same treatment on my Superb engine bay: Looks nice, doesn't it? Ultrasound box installed (just behind the left bonnet lock hook): Bought on Amazon for ~60€ (incl. shipment): https://www.amazon.fr/STOP-GO-Ultraschall-Fonctionnement-Anti-fouine/dp/B00QIVRWZ6/ref=sr_1_14?__mk_fr_FR=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&crid=XKX5CFQEZ9JZ&dchild=1&keywords=boîtier+anti+rongeur+voiture&qid=1616366354&sprefix=boîtier+anti+ron%2Caps%2C198&sr=8-14 I hope it will be efficient.

New Superb 4x4 - factory software problem?
Hi, If you talk about "Off road mode" on the Columbus display, it can be activated using VCDS. Otherwise, I don't know what you're expecting (sorry, mainly because I'm not a native English speaker). By the way, what is HDC? Thanks.

2021 superb 280
I had look on new french tax system, which is based on CO2 g/km emissions. The french government has become nut! ~12500 € only for this CO2 tax for a TSI280! This ~ 20-25% of the car price (depending of optional equipment you want based on a L&K Estate) to be added!!! Even for a TDI200 with same equipment, it can reach ~2500€ ! And from 1/1st/2022 there will be an additional tax for cars weighing over 1800 kg : 10€ per kg over this weight! Note: in their great leniency, they agreed to put a ceiling of 40,000€ on the accumulation of these 2 taxes. Fortunately it don't think there is a single car from the Skoda catalog weighing over 1800kg. But I'm really fed up with this car-bashing! Also had a look on the french Skoda configurator, the Kodiaq VRS with TDI245 is no more available. The biggest engine is a TDI150 if you want a diesel one and TSI190 if you rather have a petrol engine... Soon we'll all drive Citigo...

What have you done to your Superb III today?
To answer the question of this thread title: actually... nothing. I was decided to have 2 of my summer tyres changed for Michelin PS4 (235/40/19 96Y) before I swap winter and summer wheels by the end of this month. I went this afternoon to a local retailer, but... I could not order them! Tyres not available from supplier! Strange! I did not have a look yet to potential other online retailers, but this sounds strange to me... I'am assuming that since lockdown and home office has spread other many countries, cars miles or kilometres on the clock are not increasing as usual and Michelin may have decided to slow down their production lines to avoid oversized stocks... Do you face the same problem in your own countries?

2021 superb 280
I've just checked on the french configurator, the TSI280 is still available in DSG7 4x4. and even 170€ cheaper than the TDI200 DSG7 4x4 IT used to be the contrary formerly. The TSI280 has always been presented as the flagship among Superb fleet until then! I've also noticed some meanness in the options list such as : heated rear seats / heated windscreen, which were standard equipment on L&K before FL version...

Congrats! Welcome in the Superb Mk3 tribe! Is it me or the window protecting the VC is already 'microscratched'? Same impression on some 'carbon' parts from the center console... How can journalists specialized in the automotive industry treat a car like that in only 6500 miles! I'm flabbergasted... Anyway, almost no doubt you'll make a fine detailing to put everything in order to have it 'like new'! All the best with it!

Honeycomb grill install
Do you finally plan to insert a mesh on the lower grill too?

Extending the Time for Auto Stop/Start
May be you can try to make a different setting with VCDS to have a less persuasive S&S, using the "limit start voltage" parameter... It's the same operating process as S&S deactivation, but instead of changing the original value from 7,6V to 12V for complete deactivation, just try something in between. I've changed it to 8.5 or 8.6V on my Mk3 and I have to say, that the S&S triggers are much less nerving! I would almost say I forget I have a S&S system, though it still activates sometimes. It doesn't strike me anymore, when the engine stops upon S&S activation. May be worth to try this option...

Green algae behind edge of front fog lights
Then I suggest MTEC SuperWhite H8. I've changed my original FOG lights for these and I'm really satisfied. Still Halogen ones, but really brighter and more homogeneous regarding the color of the main head lights.... I've bought mines here: https://www.ledperf.com/pack-de-2-ampoules-h8-mtec-super-white-blanc-pur-p-1042.html

Some liquid on drive under car
You should check this for sure. It's the bleed screw of the oil tank. If it keeps on leaking because you don't care, it will cost you your engine! 2 possible options: - The bleeder screw is not correctly tightened. - The bleeder screw has been tightened way too much and the tank thread has been damaged. Then, you need the change the oil pan.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
I think they may have had a too quick look at ETKA. £300 is more or less the price of the complete pump set (including Pump and its strainer of course + 2 O-rings + 2 screws). There's really nothing but the 2 O-rings + the 2 screws to be replaced, once the pump has been removed and strainer cleaned. (according to official Skoda workshop manual, downloaded from cardiagn.com) When I did it on my own, it costed me ~75€ for - Oil - New bleed and filling screws - 2 O-rings and pump screws If you have a look to my "How to..." guide, it's even more simpler! By the way, you can have a look to how the strainer looked like and how the oil was, when I did it. I changed Haldex Oil at 45000 km (~28000 mi), very similar to what @Martin201 has just done.

Front sensors
Have you checked the seal around the front sensor? May be it's cracked and it lets water 'flow' inside the bumper...

Help me choose new alloys
Nice too! Simpler design but efficient though! Probably the ones I prefer... IMHO.
-
Help me choose new alloys
IMHO the #3 are quite close to the Vega, which are seen and seen again and again... The #1 give a subtil Audi Look. The Q3 Mk2 has very similar wheels in option.

Sasha’s Superb SportLine Plus
Well, you seemed very nerved with the previous one, that you had booked. So would you say the story with the first one was a 'bad luck' ? Since this one seems to be a 'good luck' finally... Always see what happen to you positively... Note: I would have been really nerved too if this whole story happened to me... Great new car! All the best with it! The TDI190 really makes good job !

Honeycomb grill install
As you say, the lower part of the radiator is very exposed to stones with the original honeycomb lower grill. To me, your improvement idea with this kind of mesh fully makes sense.
-
Honeycomb grill install
Safe and clever approach! I would do the same if I did the same mod!. It would also make sense to install the same mesh on the lower honeycomb grill (under the licence plate), wouldn't it?
