360BHP tends to wear out soft performance tyres (when top speed is 160mph on my Superb) quicker than the squidgy baloons fitted to 190 Kodiaq's and your brakes are probably not as powerful to reign in all those 190PS you have to play with.

A quick Google search states that on cars the tyres should be rotated every 6 months or 6,000 miles and every 4,000 miles on 4 x 4 vehicles. This is from Dunlop who have been making tyres for a few years.

Perhaps it takes too many miles out of the battery range so they made it optional.

Don't believe what Skoda claim for the 272 engine. Mine produced 283bhp as standard on 99 octane Shell pump fuel or 287PS not the stated 272PS presumably on supermarket 95 octane fuel.

30,000KM is pretty good for a heavy car like the Kodiaq. How many km are you travelling per month? I would change them all in the next 3 months or say at 35,000km latest.

After a trip to Makro in the Karoq to buy chicken breasts/thighs, salmon, sausages, bottled water, ketchup, pate, toilet rolls, chips etc, it was time to fill for the wife as she has a few visits this week so after ticking over to 27,000 miles at the weekend it had driven 301 miles on the last tank using 28.19 litres (6.2 gallons) at an average of 48.55mpg. Back in the Superb tomorrow for my 3 day shifts and it will need a fill also.

Between Jan-Mar 2021 at a guess if all 130 dealers are forced to take one as demo's. Most will order without test driving them I would think. If you wait until a test drive you won't take delivery until July 2021 at the earliest.

And the 302bhp Enyaq will probably be the same price as the Kodiaq VRS at around £46,000 in the UK with zero VED as a bonus.

Who would compare the performance between a £33,500 Enyaq and a £46,000 (before discounts) Kodiaq?

Correct 0-70mph in 5.5 seconds is fun and legal here. It also averages 39.5mpg which is probably better than most VRS Kodiaq owners achieve.

UK speed limit was 70mph last time I checked. The only nice feature on the Kodiaq VRS are the seats.

Exactly that's why 3 of my friends drive an X5, XC60 and Mercedes GLC instead.

Three main problems when the Kodiaq VRS was launched. The initial £43,000 plus launch price gave £500 VED for the first 5-6 years of ownership hurting residual values. Second the 237bhp bi-turbo diesel engine was too dirty when the market was moving towards petrol and hybrid SUV's. And now the Enyaq has launched which offers the internal space to compete with the larger Kodiaq but at a much lower price with zero VED even second hand Kodiaq VRS models look like a bad idea compared to a new Enyaq.

Slightly off topic but have recently met 2 Brisky members first @penguin17 who switched from a 280 Superb to a stage 1 Golf R with 383bhp and seemed very happy with it (who wouldn't) and @Colin170CR who went from a diesel to a stage 1 Superb 280 with 360bhp and he seemed very happy also now he wasn't doing a long commute down the M1 anymore. Perhaps a happy retirement for @Dodgy is simply a stage 1 remap on his existing car and enjoy the performance and range until EV battery range improves which it will do in the next 5 years.

Agree the Tesla charging network is the best currently available in Europe which makes longer journeys more viable (no sarcasm). But that would be the wrong reason for buying one of it's products. The basic Enyaq has a long enough range to complete your 2 annual European trips. Happy retirement BTW (no sarcasm).

However Skoda supply a tablet holder for £23 which clips into the rear fold down armrest in the Superb.

As we all know a saloon Tesla 3 is way more practical than an estate such as the Golf and the Tesla can easily drive for more than 10 hours on one charge and for over 500 miles and is cheaper to buy than the better quality Golf R. So many advantages to buy the Tesla if zero road tax is the deciding factor in the decision making.

Also most teams have very slippery rear wings at Monza so even using the DRS on the straights have little difference compared to other higher downforce tracks. Fastest lap by Lewis was not matched by any of the cars that finished ahead of him.
