  1. All working fine/cleared now. I didn't know the dash had that many lights 🤣🤣
  2. Help! Just driven for three hours to Exeter and the car wouldn't lock in the hotel carpark - rapid flashing hazards and tailgate flashing on the MFD . All doors, tailgate we're secure, so I disconnected the battery for approx 2 minutes. Reconnected the battery and it locked as intended. I then started it up, all sorts of warnings on the dash (expected) Question - will the warnings disappear after a period of driving/start stop cycles? Thanks in advance
  3. Buster says thank you! Buster's also sporting a freshly trimmed coat, by yours truly, which is why he looks a mess, or a wire fox terrier, (curiously, my first dog was a wire fox terrier...)
  4. Is it in Rowley Regis??? 😆 BBC News - Bell End road name 'will not be changed', says council http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-43723897
  5. Battlestar Galactica on catch-up on Sky (Peacock). It gets a bit deeper than run of the mill sci-fi with some quite adult themes.
  6. If you're both in the car and your phone is the connected one, if your wife gets a call it will automatically come through on the hands free. If you want to swap manually, use the "rotating phones symbol" on the infotainment screen.
  7. My second car, an Asta 1.3 GLS A reg. The picture is from halfway down the North Wales stage of the 1992 Lombard RAC Rally. It was the car I learnt to weld with (like all 80s cars...) I still have the Cibie Oscar+ in the loft. I passed my test in 1988 in a Citroën AX GT. I was a bit lighter then, but still 6'5". I didn't so much drive it as wear it. 😆 (no pictures of the first car, a V reg Escort mk2, £450 in 1988, rusted to mot failure in under a year...)
  8. Trying to swap the windscreen washer pump on Mrs Cakemonster's Mini, which entails removing the wheel arch liner. I remember when washer bottles were under the bonnet... Firstly, the wheel was stuck to the hub with corrosion. Then the pattern washer pump, which looked spot on initially (£10.99 of eBay goodness) actually had the outlets and the mount/wiring connector 90° out meaning no way would it fit... Undaunted, I proceeded to give the entire system a clean (the OEM pump did still work) 16 years of cack came out of the washer bottle - still fitted in the car - via the pump opening with a garden hose in the top, a good quantity of which filled my left trainer.... So, after purging all the lines and removing the washer jets and cleaning them with fuse wire (millennials, ask you parents) Mrs Cakemonster now has working washers. And the seller has agreed to refund, so not all bad...
  9. Imagine what a full on armoured attack swan could do!!!
  10. Absolutely. But then I would have to agree, wouldn't I? 😜
  11. Hmm, a UK SE L from MY19 would've had electric folding heated mirrors, auto dipping interior mirror, alcantara/leather seats, led headlights, Amundsen, rear privacy glass. But options would've been full rear leds, kessy, front parking sensors and heated seats. Maybe, a member from Europe (LHD) would know more spec wise?
  12. Just had a look at the seats, my SE L has alcantara/leather. Do the mirrors fold when you lock it?
  13. It looks to be a decent spec., (Possibly a SE L with some extra options, the wheels match mine) But as the OP is in Palestine, would the specs be regional specific? Edit. Can you find a local MY19 price list on line? Or local (?) Skoda dealer
  14. If it's not too deep, I can recommend Autoglym Scratch Removal kit which removed scratches from my wife's BMW company car which curiously matched scratches on my Octavia..... 🤬🤬 (got 95% of them out of the Octavia as well) Takes some elbow grease, mind.... 🤣
  15. Didn’t know my wife had a twin.... Nice to have a new brother in law 😜
  16. Mrs Cakemonster tried selling hers, but apparently chemical weapons are banned....🤢🤢 (She doesn't go on Briskoda, I hope...)
  17. Cheers mate, That made us laugh. Got to love a Terrier.
  18. Well, that escalated... had to to take the lad to the vet's (out of hours, New Year's Eve...) and come back with pain meds and an injection. Seems the other dog had tweaked our dog's back. 🤬🤬 And a £220 bill. 2022 got to be better than 2020/21 - right????
  19. Irresponsible dog owners. An off lead sproodle has just flattened our 13½ year old Border Terrier causing him to vomit (which probably means he's lost this morning's cushings meds...)
  20. Buster (left) and Cookie ( we lost her 29th September, still hurts...) we adopted them when they were 11.
  21. Completing stage 3 of our Christmas cake, the marzipan layer. Also now regretting eating more "spare" marzipan than a grown adult should. I feel like a kid that's eaten his own weight in Haribo....
