  1. I've just noticed one of my rear deflectors had dropped a bit, so decided to adjust it. And the end snapped off, it seemed really brittle. They've been on around 5 years. Does anyone have any experience with Climair, or any of the ones on Amazon - Ispeed & EdgeVisors? Ta.
  2. Is the lever with the key in locked in that position? And the key locked in the lever? If so, it's fine, that's how it should be and when you insert the tow hitch the lever pops up and you can turn the lock and remove the key
  3. Only downside to LEDs is that the trailer/caravan/bike rack isn't covered by the car alarm, unplugging the cable with the car locked sets the alarm off (factory towbar)
  4. Oh, bugger, I was hoping you'd say it was a pain and I wouldn't bother attempting it 🤣🤣 Thanks for the quick response.👍 I'm off to surf eBay...
  5. The switch looks smart, how easy is it to pop the old one out of the dash?
  6. If memory serves me right, there's a torx screw under the airbag mark, you need to prise it of with a thin blade, a penknife etc.
  7. The on-line version has more detail, my hard copy that came with the car is 267 pages, the pdf is 333.
  8. Tape over them? Either opaque or use some of the stickers you can get on eBay to dim the blue circle on Sky Q boxes.
  9. It happened to a bloke I worked with a few years ago in his Passat, burnt a hole in his seat (full leather, I think) and his jeans, his wallet saved him from being branded! VW stumped up for a new seat, jeans, wallet etc.
  10. Border Collie agility Vs Border Terrier agility....
  11. @ApertureS Am I reading this correctly? I have ACC but have a fixed rear axle (1.5 SEL) and during the first couple of services the dealer said the tracking was "out" and only they could do the tracking as it had to be "calibrated" at much £££s. There's no mention of the front axle - or is that the misalignment angle?
  12. Definitely related to Mrs Cakemonster....
  13. No, just clumsy AF, and being a swimmer, built like a small outhouse...
  14. No problem, just move anything breakable and for your own sake, don't let her cook - 4 meals in 26 years, it's not her strong suit... Oh, and Mrs Cakemonster has ripped the cord out of the mains Dyson, twice, so maybe cordless would be best? 😉
  15. Mrs G and Mrs Cakemonster must be related... 🙄
  16. Try playing the test sound again and whilst it's playing turn up the volume on the infotainment (either on the dash or wheel). Also Android Auto has three settings, Mute, Alerts Only and everything - Alerts and directions.
  17. Not normally an issue as I'm home all day, just didn't want Mrs Cakemonster seeing the the delivery. Yes, there's a locker at the local Shell garage - no guarantee they could find that either... After spending 25 years of life in in distribution, Amazon's logistics leave a lot to be desired.
  18. It gets worse.... The delivery was rescheduled for today, again to the Amazon Counter within the Post Office. You can guess what's happened, the Post Office is now closed and it still hasn't got there yet... How can you schedule a delivery to one of your own Counters and not factor in it's opening hours? 🤬🤬🤬
