  1. Hopefully this helps... https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6mvh3pqryshv3rp/AAAYSoCsp-vVWz-h4ko4QoAha?dl=0&preview=Body+Work.pdf Edit, just checked the link, it only takes you to the contents, so you'll need to navigate to page 390 - however, you'll be able to go to any of the others as well. Good luck.
  2. I've had one for about 18 months now, it's fine
  3. Is there anything obvious on the new lamp that shows how the plug is held in? It may be a "one and done" fitting. If so and the original is already knackered it may just be that you'll have to carefully break the old grey housing away.
  4. M14 x 1.5 I got one recently to prevent faffing at the side of the road - £7.50
  5. I'm 6'5" and also don't have an issue with the view of the dash. Mrs Cakemonster just rolled her eyes about finding what @Gerrycanwas on about, women...
  6. There should be a setting to switch it off
  7. Hope this helps, From my September 2018 estate 8KO 805 615
  8. If it helps, on my factory fit towbar, the pull down electrics socket is stamped with the VW Audi Group logos and the hitch is the same as the one in the manual. Could be a quick and dirty check before going on line. (Doesn't help if it was a dealer fit from new by a local fitter as offered from new as I was, but I went factory)
  9. It's been fine again today, shame that my OBDeleven is at home to check for any other faults.
  10. Twice in the last week "Max engine rpm 6400" (or similar) has briefly flashed up on the MFD on engine start up. There hasn't been a flare of revs, size 12s no where near the accelerator. Yesterday it did it as we set off for a 200 mile journey fully loaded up for a week away. Also, ACC was disabled and so was stop start. After the long run, all seems fine now. Is this a symptom of a dieing battery? It's the original and I only normally do short runs.
  11. This may sound stupid, but are any of your interior lights on? I had exactly the same issue, I'd nudged one of the rear reading lights on but couldn't figure it out as it was daylight and couldn't see the light. I had flashing hazards and the tailgate flickered on the dash.
  12. Thanks for the replies. 👍👍 The depth of knowledge and expertise on Briskoda surprises me at times!!
  13. Cheers. Have you gone ad free? I couldn't see the ££s Been try to see what the Ring doorbell is receiving as it's response is poor. The checker I was using (Speedtest Master) was saying 1.5 Mbps in the same room as a Roku box that was saying 46 Mbps...
  14. Can anyone recommend a reliable broadband speed checker on Android or website? I know the speed Sky say I should have at the router, but want to check around the house.
  15. Having woken one morning three years ago and pulled back the bedroom curtains to see two cars missing (both company cars, one recovered 6 miles away, used in a supermarket raid, the other was never seen again), it wasn't the cars that were vulnerable, it was the house. They snapped the lock to the front door, walked into the lounge (below our bedroom) and took the basket with the keys in (ignoring two phones on charge and my wallet). So, the house is now more secure, we have diskloks on the cars and cctv doorbell etc. The above still won't stop the current spate of machete wielding thugs who are stealing catalytic convertors - in broad daylight though. Basically, do what you can, or what makes you feel safe. There's scum out there and they don't care. Like you, I have a nasty feeling about things at the moment.
  16. Do you have a Westfalia Automotive distributor near you? They make the OEM towbars for Skoda.
  17. I'd been faffing with the car and disconnected the rear dashcam, so for the first time in ages fired up the app to make the camera worked after I'd finished. No way would it connect to the app. The app is up to date, I can connect to the WiFi from the camera on the phone, but the app won't then find the camera. I have a third party app that allows you to view the recordings (the rear camera still works) but it doesn't allow you to adjust any settings. Anyone else have any issues/tips? Ta.
  18. I had an email today from "VW" about my extended warranty. I don't have an extended warranty. But I did buy the car on PCP and paid it off. The email address appears legit, but they can be spoofed. There's no name or policy number (unsurprising as I don't have one) but there is a link to click on, I haven't. So is this part of a blanket email from VW and their adim is dire, or has someone hacked VW for email addresses?
  19. All working fine/cleared now. I didn't know the dash had that many lights 🤣🤣
  20. Help! Just driven for three hours to Exeter and the car wouldn't lock in the hotel carpark - rapid flashing hazards and tailgate flashing on the MFD . All doors, tailgate we're secure, so I disconnected the battery for approx 2 minutes. Reconnected the battery and it locked as intended. I then started it up, all sorts of warnings on the dash (expected) Question - will the warnings disappear after a period of driving/start stop cycles? Thanks in advance
  21. If you're both in the car and your phone is the connected one, if your wife gets a call it will automatically come through on the hands free. If you want to swap manually, use the "rotating phones symbol" on the infotainment screen.
  22. My second car, an Asta 1.3 GLS A reg. The picture is from halfway down the North Wales stage of the 1992 Lombard RAC Rally. It was the car I learnt to weld with (like all 80s cars...) I still have the Cibie Oscar+ in the loft. I passed my test in 1988 in a Citroën AX GT. I was a bit lighter then, but still 6'5". I didn't so much drive it as wear it. 😆 (no pictures of the first car, a V reg Escort mk2, £450 in 1988, rusted to mot failure in under a year...)
  23. How about behind the end of the dash panel? It pops off easily enough
