I've just noticed one of my rear deflectors had dropped a bit, so decided to adjust it. And the end snapped off, it seemed really brittle. They've been on around 5 years. Does anyone have any experience with Climair, or any of the ones on Amazon - Ispeed & EdgeVisors? Ta.

Is the lever with the key in locked in that position? And the key locked in the lever? If so, it's fine, that's how it should be and when you insert the tow hitch the lever pops up and you can turn the lock and remove the key

Only downside to LEDs is that the trailer/caravan/bike rack isn't covered by the car alarm, unplugging the cable with the car locked sets the alarm off (factory towbar)

The switch looks smart, how easy is it to pop the old one out of the dash?

If memory serves me right, there's a torx screw under the airbag mark, you need to prise it of with a thin blade, a penknife etc.

The on-line version has more detail, my hard copy that came with the car is 267 pages, the pdf is 333.

Tape over them? Either opaque or use some of the stickers you can get on eBay to dim the blue circle on Sky Q boxes.

It happened to a bloke I worked with a few years ago in his Passat, burnt a hole in his seat (full leather, I think) and his jeans, his wallet saved him from being branded! VW stumped up for a new seat, jeans, wallet etc.

@ApertureS Am I reading this correctly? I have ACC but have a fixed rear axle (1.5 SEL) and during the first couple of services the dealer said the tracking was "out" and only they could do the tracking as it had to be "calibrated" at much £££s. There's no mention of the front axle - or is that the misalignment angle?

Try playing the test sound again and whilst it's playing turn up the volume on the infotainment (either on the dash or wheel). Also Android Auto has three settings, Mute, Alerts Only and everything - Alerts and directions.

I did exactly the same, paid it off within a week back in 2018, painless to do and all servicing etc were still in place. Completely painless. I'm not sure, but the 2 payments quoted by the dealership may be so they get their commission on the finance

It used to cope with it all fine, it seems to have gone pear shaped having gone over 1000 individual files which coincides with the figure in the manual. I'll have a go at putting some albums/artists in folders and see what happens. I don't want to lose the random shuffle and the ability to annoy the wife with my constant skipping through tracks!

Thanks for checking, I'll have a play around with folders and see if it works for me. I have quite an eclectic choice in music and drive Mrs Cakemonster insane with skipping to find a track that suits the mood 😀

Thanks for that, I'll try putting my ripped CDs into album folders, that should reduce the individual number a bit. @JD52does shuffle still work? Eg, will it play a track from album A then one from album X or does it randomly play all of album A first?

None of mine (just under 1100) are in folders. I added around 20 new tracks yesterday and half a dozen weren't visible to the unit. I formatted the card and transferred everything again, new tracks are visible, but some old ones have become "invisible" It's a 32gb card so it's barely a third full, and the card is fully playable on the laptop so the files aren't corrupt.

I have my music on SD card (Amundsen) a combination of ripped CDs and iTunes files. I added some more tracks today and noticed that some of them weren't visible in the car, but they were accessible on the laptop. So, I formatted the card and reinstalled them. Now there's a different set of missing tracks... (both iTunes files and CD tracks) Any ideas?
