Is that the powerflex ones ive read about as compared to the cupra ones ???

Ok so as you all know ive done a fair bit to this car but the only job I have left on the list is the front console bushes as these are the originals and I think 21 years is pretty good going. are there any guides or suggestions and do I need a special tool for removing and refitting the bushes please ???

Have you been checking the obvious taking the oil filler cap off to see if any mayo on it and are you noticing a film on top of the coolant as Pete says pop out the plugs and check for coolant it's a quick easy job to tick of the investigation list.

p0171 can be caused by many issues as the guys said vacuum leak is a big culprit but other things can cause this error code i had this code and it was down to a leaking flexi on the cat so you really need to do a thorough search of your car mate.

I hax this exact oil leak and discovered the oil was actually passing through the sensor itself I bet if you take the connector off you will find oil in the connectors.

Mine is the comfort.

That stuffs only any good for detailing mate not for faded plastic I've tried it before.

Yeah I was thinking that and I can't find anywhere to get those trims from do might have to swerve this one lol.

I had same issue mate brought snd fitted it myself its not s big job just a bit fiddly getting 2 of the nuts off.

They will be going back on I'm respraying and coating all the old faded plastic trims better to do off than on.

I don't know if they are stuck on or clipped.

Just a quickie does anyone know how I get the plastic bump strips off that run along the middle of the doors please ???

Trouble I got is I had an accident last week so not a le to drive atm.

Who ever had the car before me it must have come loose and they shut it in the door and did a patch job on it with sealant it's always leaked a bit but has got worse this wi ter needs changing out.

where abouts are you bud i have a spare one in my cupboard I changed mine out when was doing a load of suspension work, wheel baring quiet on it.

I may be explaining the part im after wrong its not the seal on the door its the big seal the door closes onto.

i can imagine the cost if i tried my ahem friendly local skoda dealer lol.

As title says one of my main rear door seals is shot, does anyone know where I can order one from please ???

Found it it was the 5amp s contact fuse

Just used a test light and im getting permanent live to the main power line into unit red/yellow but the yellow/red wire which is the switched live i believe im getting no power to it when ignition is switched on ???
