  1. This should have been 27 vehicles of the same size regardless of reg no. For whatever reason some of the Merc chassised ones are 6-700mm shorter but until the issue at Bodmin Brakes just chose ones with the least damage on them. We put livery on at least 300 DAF's since 2014 ish and I know after that they must have had 200 minimum DAF's all the same size body blank so no shortage to choose from. Brakes supplied us with a spreadsheet with locations, amount at each and reg nos.
  2. Wall, head, brick..... This one is down to the customer, in their wisdom they chose 27 vehicles to do, their fleet is easily 500+ rigids, the original list contained Mercs which are slightly shorter. That list was then amended after one our fitters went from Sittingbourne to Bodmin to do 2 and did exactly what I did on the first. You'd never know we had new staff recently πŸ™„, more to the point a plannerπŸ˜€
  3. T'is a sad day, waste, waste and more waste
  4. Waiting nearly 2hrs for job to turn up, fit the first 4 panels and only having room for 1 1/2 panels, both with text on πŸ™„ They've sent the wrong one in so these will be stripped and then it's drive back home πŸ‘
  5. TBH Mac as you're getting a new bike I'd have rode it and tell the OH you need the new one ASAP 😁 the old one then becomes your n+1 if she asks why you've still got the old one πŸ˜ƒ
  6. Quiche topped with mature Cheddar and Caramelised Onions with leftover manky Salad
  7. if i REALLY had to and i hadn't cut out the flappy things then maybe....but then i'd post about that in the 'moments of joy' thread
  8. I 'may' have got off lightly πŸ€” claim gone into Ins Co, just waiting on call to see where I take it... Broker offered me a place Edenbridge which is their local approved centre... I politely declined as I'm 200 miles away. πŸ˜€ Excess is Β£250 And then first job back I put no 2 panel where no 1 should go. 🦊 sake
  9. Week off with the van parked up out of the way of skips, bulk bags and wheelbarrows.... then moving it and have a wall jump into the side 🀭. May be an expensive time for me πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
  10. i wouldnt get too hung up on brakes...all decent enough, MT400 is atouch better than MT200 but more than capable, i've got Tektro on mine..no issues. the Lapierre brake spec you've seen is the rotor spec, MT200 on it the Judy forks are probably the better options with the 120mm the Roscoe and Canyon 7 both have dropper posts which is a bonus for me if i lived out your way and the weather i'd prefer a threaded BB (Bottom Bracket), easier to replace than a Pressfit which have a reputation for creaking if not installed correctly, not adeal breaker but something to bear in mind? Roscoe has threaded BB, the others seem to be Pressfit, the Giant i can't pin down but as the spec just says cartridge... for me the Roscoe appears to be favourite, Lapierre and Canyon not much between them and the Giant just not quite there, but TBH any of them are more than capable...stock will be the issue
  11. I've never done Cardiac, only the Marquis Drive paved section and that's tough enough on a decent surface. I was near FTD at the top of Marquis, looked to be busy? Plenty of large groups around? Plans have changed for us today so I may get out again... 3 days in a row so my legs may feel it tomorrow πŸ˜€
  12. This downhill bit I lost the trail with all the recent logging so just decided straight line to the trail below πŸ€” Basically branches, twigs etc left over so how I didn't get a puncture I have no idea.... I shan't be doing it again πŸ˜€
  13. a rather warm one today and another off round a tree to avoid a walker having to walk through mud, big roots, front wrong side to turn and away we went! i 'think' i lost concentration...on her own, shorts, short T shirt and ermmm very nice she rushed over to see if i was OK and damn me i forgot to ask for mouth to mouth just a bruised ego to show for it luckily, no lasting damage
  14. Group ride today, phone decided to die about 2m from home so total nearer 19 miles. front brake was draggy so i adjusted it at the Coffee stop about 30 secs before we left...not a good idea! sounded like a steam train chugging away as the rivets on the disc caught the caliper...wheeel rolled easier though, just noisy...ill post pic in a while. Disc cleaned up, new pads fitted, caliper aligned... Just need bedding in now for tomorrow's ride 🚴
  15. mostly sitting on the bed of the old path apart from the centre section, MOT sub base and sharp sand whackered down in the newer areas joints will most likely be Resin finished and then the surface sealed. the top patio needs re-doing as well....28sq m plus the 16 sq m of the new path
  16. So the inside/outside patches failed miserably.... Tube now in until tyre is worn out. A bit of a service/clean in the outdoor workshop after the garden work ready for the w/e, more of a B than a full one 😏 Note the highly technical equipment to prevent the patio from getting any dirtier 🀭
  17. I got 2 pairs of the 'Baboon arse' inners recently, 1 pair for here and the other to go to France, the only thing I found odd at first was how short they are at waist at the back but I think that's more being used to larger Madison inners/shorts. Comfort otherwise was fine From Lightinthebox I think but generally available on Amazon/Bay of E etc?
  18. Path nearly completed... One piece on right to lay and the area to the right near patio
  19. no idea what happened there? no idea what happened here
  20. Nah, I reckon he's just come in from poolside, lounging about in the Sun πŸ˜€
  21. Pasta Salad with a few boiled eggs scattered, Tuna, Feta and a side dressing of Sweet Chili sauce πŸ€”
