What have you done to your Superb III today?
Got my ABS sensor fixed. I had to do it twice because I got the wrong part first time. Beware anyone attempting, make sure you find out the original part number and find a compatible one via autodoc or get it via Skoda.

Tsi 4x4 dsg 6 to 7 change
Funnily enough, the 220tsi with dq250 6 speed has longer gearing. I don't mind my 280 6 speeder at 80-85. But agree lower rpm would be better.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
I am half contemplating DIY. Or getting my local garage to just do the sensors if I manage to scan it and have confidence it's the sensor problem. Will see. I thought I am in no hurry but then the rear park sensors don't work and I need it....

What have you done to your Superb III today?
As usual, I didn't do anything to my car but it has done something which means I will need to do something! Anyway, ESC fault, adaptive cruise, SS, park pilot, etc unavailable warnings came up earlier. Last time it did so (I think more faults than just speed related like this time) was battery. This time I reckon it is ABS sensor. Will find out with a scan soon!

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Seems like it. Not sure why, odd. Mine is just an old 280 4x4 petrol.... But wait till you see Audi prices for basically the same drivetrain. E.g. A3 vs Golf/Octavia. They pay so much more😂😂

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Not yet but I shall buy the 2 year service plan on offer until 2 December. 468quid for the Plus package which has 2MOTs, pollen filter, air filter and spark plugs (probably mileage dependent). That's stonking I think...If you trust the main dealer lol

Superb issues...
Similar to the other post by another poster and when mine did this (280 petrol) , it was the battery. New battery, Carista coding and all good since. Check the battery first especially if it's old.

Supurb sportline dashboard errors
Mine did something similar and it's the 12v battery. When was it last replaced?

Buying a Superb iV at 140000km (87 000 miles)
Assuming it's a good price, I reckon it's worth a punt. Only thing is battery health. That cost a packet to put right if it goes. End of the day, what's the max you could lose anyway?

The 280PS Thread
Suddenly losing 1L in 1000km is weird. Assuming you did check in between. Mine has the coolant level back to nearly min level after 2 years since I topped up to max. God knows why or maybe just normal evaporation...

Changed the front wipers to Bosch items. They came with with car (2016) when I bought it used in 2018 Dec. One of the wiper rubber beads has finally come off hence the change. The other wipes good still, no streaks. Crazy stuff. Crazier if it was factory wipers ...

Party lights on dash
I replaced battery. All back to normal. Also looked at the BEM code on the old Banner battery. It's the original from 2016 August. It's nearly 9 years old now... No wonder. Happy Days. Although it's only 1 test drive in.... Hope it stays that way.

Battery swapped, coded. All back to normal!

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Bought a scan tool (carista), looked at battery values which I suspect is source of my fault codes. Battery ordered from Tayna coming in a couple days. Will fit and code then fingers crossed no more faults....

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Just had my car locked picked a few days ago to gain access because my key got shut in the boot. (On holiday, no spare...Can't get) Then on way back, before reaching home, warning lights galore so I suppose I am gonna have to do more things to it soon😂

Advice on buying Skoda Superb 2016 - 2018
If you are worried about dry clutch DSG on the 1.4/1.5, just avoid them. The 2.0tsi 190ps version would still give decent mpg, at least 45mpg on motorways. As reference, the 2.0tsi 4x4 will struggle to get above 45mpg. Older 2.0 220ps versions are not bad too. The difference in fuel economy for all of them are marginal unless you are doing moon mileages. In which case you should be getting a diesel or something else.

Thinking of moving to Enyaq, madness?
As long as one can charge on the cheap, and overall can achieve lower running costs, definitely. Also that it suits the use case. People who daily their cars 400miles probably need not apply. I recently done a trip to scotland, longest journey in a day of 520miles. It would be fine in an EV with 250miles of useable motorway range. 300+ would make it a doddle. But I am OK with my 280 ... Burning through 270quids worth of petrol for the whole trip (1300miles!)

Looking for a Superb sport line plus
Did you try all the adjustments including lumbar and the horizontal tilt (up and down for the seat bottom, there is a front and back adjustment)?

Disadvantages of the 276bhp car over the 190bhp version?
Yes it stopped at 2017 I think. In that case, just aim for a 272/280. You will not regret it. We should all own a sleeper car (a warm one in this case ) once in our lives.

If you want a FWD version, maybe look for the 220tsi version. In normal driving, it'll feel as peppy ad the 280. Also has longer gear ratios for better motorway efficiency.

At 3000miles a year, let me assume it's not a lot of short commutes and there are a few longer trips in there. (Like me...) Therefore, make those miles count and enjoy it with a 272/280. Fuel cost different insignificant in the grand scheme of things
