  1. So the nrf Egr cooler I fitted has failed. Does anyone know the manufacturer of the Egr coolers currently to make sure I get a decent one? The old one was benteler but can’t find one after market. Oem is about £450 but mahle coming in about half that. But don’t want to get another lemon part 04L 131 512 BQ 2.0tdi cupa engine Thanks
  2. The charge cooler comes out without having to touch the pump. not sure on the compatibility of that van wezel part to be honest. Looks right though
  3. Worth checking into this one whether it’s compatible https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/van-wezel-14762726.html
  4. Have been down that road and the second hand part failed unfortunately
  5. They should all be revisions of the same part. Not sure how to work out what order they came in. Usually alphabetical but sometimes not. I would avoid a used part if possible.
  6. This should give you a list of compatible part numbers https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/04l129711ac-intake-manifold-skoda-32179.html
  7. It won’t change how clean the rear discs are? I personally don’t see the issue on the rear discs, look pretty normal
  8. Gdb2042 are what I have fitted and no issues at all.
  9. There is a standard part that fits there. Part list
  10. https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/5e58671459b9-storage-box-skoda-36795.html that might be it?
  11. Dealer should be able to get it for you. for part number try here https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/skoda/CZ/OCT/805/5/500/500020
  12. Microfibre and either spritz or an apc to wipe the dust and marks off every so often. Then when doing a big clean, apc then some dressing such as carpro PERL or dressle works well. Haven’t found anything better than autoglym glass polish for interior glass. Doesn’t leave any streaks. leather seats, a wipe over with leather cleaner every so often. Don’t use a combined cleaner/conditioner cream on these, just sits on the surface. Use a spray on sealant every so often. Dodo juice supernatural sealant had been very good from my experience
  13. Hey, check out VIKA Wiper Motor in the AUTODOC app https://m.autodoc.co.uk/vika/13159197
  14. Mannol do vw coolant that is green or yellow also just to confuse matters
  15. Is there not something simple to tell with these? The 340s have a small bend in the calliper carriers and the 312s are flat/straight?
  16. Do all models have the feature that’s meant to gently apply brakes when wipers are on to keep them dry? Might be something to do with that not functioning correctly?
  17. Hey, check out ATE Brake Disc in the AUTODOC app https://m.autodoc.co.uk/ate/7013633
  18. Coolant leaks seem to be an issue (certainly on mine). Have a look for staining around the expansion tank that indicates something not right. Also check from a cold start if there’s alot of steam out the back. It’ll go away with a warm engine though so make sure dealer hasn’t warmed it up before you. The expansion tank lid should also click into place. If it doesn’t then likely it’s been on and off quite a bit.
  19. Trw have been the best fit I’ve found. Likewise the brembo from eurocarparts were poor and also had pagids that delaminated
  20. I opted for a used cooler. New one was around £800 or so. Nowhere could get it other than the dealer. You may have a slightly different version though so may be able to find one cheaper? There was no high pressure Egr on mine, not sure if this was introduced to the Octavia but appears on other revisions of the part from golf’s, tiguans and passats. I also now have yellow coolant due to uv dye!
  21. Yes you can, but think it’s only possible with vcds or OBDeleven.
  22. You should really get the new battery programmed to the car or it won’t know there is a new battery fitted and charging won’t be adapted to a new battery
  23. It takes me to a Dropbox link, so likely that they’re blocking downloads then
  24. All the links seem to be working on the hypermiler page I shared above?
