Need help in choosing the brake light bulb, skoda superb V6 2.5 TDI 2009 Mk1 model
That's interesting news about the Superb being shipped over in parts and assembled in India. In the UK, some local mayors had the Superb MK1 as their official vehicle. In India, they must be like owning a Rolls Royce. In Europe, the Superb MK1 can suffer from rust. How are they doing in India with your slightly different climate?

Octavia Scout Mk3 Rear Suspension
The Bilstein 19-230559 front shock absorber is not suitable for the Scout with its off-road suspension, as it appears to have the same uncompressed length as the Bilstein B6 front shock absorber. It also doesn't say that it is a suitable replacement for the OEM number 5Q0413023GB. It may be that Skoda shock absorbers would be better than aftermarket, if as I suspect no one is doing a close aftermarket match. Maybe change the Scout to standard ride height with springs and shock absorbers from the 4x4 with standard ride height?

Octavia Scout Mk3 Rear Suspension
According to autodoc the Bilstein 19-230559 rear shock absorber fits the Octavia MK3 Estate 2.0TDi 4x4 150HP. It doesn't specifically mention the Scout, but it does say that it is suitable for off-road suspension...although it also says it's suitable for standard suspension and sports suspension. So you might want to find out the OEM number of your rear shock absorbers, so that you can compare it with the list that the Bilstein 19-230559 has. https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/shock-absorber-10221/skoda/octavia/octavia-combi-5e5/59490-2-0-tdi-4x4?criteria[100]=HA&supplier[0]=16&supplier[1]=16 Bilstein 19-230559 can replace the following OEM numbers: 5QM513029A 5QM513029AC 5QM513029M 5Q0513029BQ 5Q0513029DA 5Q0513029DB 5Q0513029DP 5Q0513029DQ 5Q0513029DR 5Q0513029DS 5Q0513029EM 5Q0513029EN 5Q0513029GL Bilstein 19-230559 is for build codes 0N4, G01, G02, G03, G04. The Bilstein B6 won't fit because that's for standard suspension. The Bilstein B8 won't fit because that's for sports suspension.

Octavia Scout Mk3 Rear Suspension
If the front springs have 1 grey dot and 1 violet dot they are OEM part number 5Q0411105HR, which matches the L30 build code. I can't find coloured dots for the rear springs, so I will list the length, spring coil thickness, and weight of the three rear springs that might be fitted to the rear of an Octavia MK3 4x4 Scout. I think you have 5Q0511115AM. 5Q0511115AL is the next weight/stiffness down and 5Q0511115AN is the next weight/stiffness up. When the rear springs are fitted to the car, the easiest way to decide which of these three springs you have, is to measure the spring coil thickness with digital calipers. If you have the rear spring with Coil Spring Thickness 12.75mm, then your digital calipers might read 0.1mm more, ie. 12.85mm as the 12.75mm reading won't include the paint. When you take the rear spring off the car, a good way to check what rear spring you have is to weigh it on some digital kitchen scales and compare the reading to the weights that I have listed below. 5Q0511115AL Length 378mm, Coil Spring Thickness 12.50mm, Weight 2.45kg 5Q0511115AM Length 383mm, Coil Spring Thickness 12.75mm, Weight 2.6kg 5Q0511115AN Length 382mm, Coil Spring Thickness 13.00mm, Weight 2.75kg

These seem to be the Eibach Pro-Kit front and rear springs for the Fabia MK2 1.2TSi, but check carefully yourself. Eibach Pro-Kit Front Spring F11-85-008-01-VA Front axle weight 960kg Eibach Pro-Kit Rear Spring F11-85-008-01-HA Rear axle weight 840kg F11-85-008-01-VA + F11-85-008-01-HA = E10-79-006-01-22 Eibach refers to the car with standard suspension when they claim a 30mm reduction in ride height.

Since 2011, the Audi A6 has used 5/112 66.5 rims. The Yeti uses a 57.1mm centre bore with it's 5/112, so 5/112 66.5 wouldn't fit as the rim wouldn't be centred on the hub. There are probably other examples, so always check that the rims are 5/112 57.1 not just 5/112.

Front brake upgrade on MK2 Fabia 1.6 TDI
Bosch/Lucas/TRW appear to be the same. Continental/Conti/TEVES/ATE appear to be the same. The 2011-2016 Audi A1 appears to use ATE 256mm/288mm/310mm (not 312mm) front brakes, and TRW 230/272 rear brakes. http://www.oemepc.com/audi/parts_lst/markt/RDW/modell/A1/year/2011/hg/6/catalog/au/drive_standart/708/lang/e The Fabia 256mm front brakes are either ATE or TRW. ATE have been available for all years, whereas TRW were available from 2009-2015 alongside the ATE 256mm front brakes. Front brake upgrade on MK2 Fabia 1.6 TDI
2010 was the last year Skoda had 239mm front brakes. http://www.oemepc.com/skoda/part_single/catalog/sk/markt/CZ/modell/FAB/year/2010/drive_standart/608/hg_ug/615/subcategory/615025/part_id/2550123/lang/e In 2011, the smallest front brakes were 256mm. http://www.oemepc.com/skoda/part_single/catalog/sk/markt/CZ/modell/FAB/year/2011/drive_standart/697/hg_ug/615/subcategory/615025/part_id/2550123/lang/e In 2011, Skoda also took the opportunity to change from TRW 288mm front brakes to ATE 288mm front brakes. As far as front brakes were concerned, 2011 was a big year.

The eibach.de website has an online catalogue where you can find out what springs eibach sells for your particular car model. Eibach sell two types of aftermarket springs. ERL and Pro-Kit. ERL (Eibach Replacement Line) are standard ride height springs. Pro-Kit are 30mm lowered springs. https://www.eibach.de/en/ http://web2.carparts-cat.com/default.aspx?11=279&14=15&1115=1&1281=17=0&10=CB5B61EB34F54FD0976119BCED0FA042279015&12=100 http://web2.carparts-cat.com/default.aspx?34=0,2047566&240=0&32=22949&230=29&1271=48&1272=3711a928-6aad-497f-b53d-f31d020a6ad1&1273=1&10=CB5B61EB34F54FD0976119BCED0FA042279015&14=15&12=130 Eibach Pro-Kit E10-79-006-02-22 (front and rear sports springs) Pro-Kit Article status: Normal Mounting location : Front axle , Drawdown approx. : 30 mm , Mounting location : Rear axle , Drawdown approx. : 30 mm with technical inspection certificate , Front axle weight. up to : 960 kg , Rear axle weight. up to : 840 kg , for vehicles without level adjustment https://www.ebay.de/itm/Pro-Kit-Tieferlegungsfedern-30mm-u-a-fur-Skoda-Fabia-II-542-Bj-2007-2014/373054750648?epid=1205502331&hash=item56dbcbbfb8%3Ag%3AVL8AAOSwLYdfrtti&LH_ItemCondition=1000

For Sachs springs try superbcarparts on ebay.co.uk superbcarparts sell them in pairs X2 at often the best prices on ebay. They have thousands of listings and excellent feedback. If they don't have a current listing for the springs that you want, they can often order them for you at competitive prices. For example, I just got a quote from superbcarparts for the following Sachs springs for the Octavia MK3 2.0TDi 150HP 4x4 Scout with manual gearbox. x2 Sachs 993959 front springs which matches OEM number 5Q0411105HR £90 for two springs. x2 Sachs 992102 rear springs which matches OEM number 5Q0511115AM £100 for two springs. superbcarparts on ebay.co.uk are usually cheaper than autodoc for Sachs springs, and unlike autodoc, superbcarparts include free postage.

All Season Tyres....
You can get Michelin CrossClimates for £50 each...obviously not in the very expensive 215/50R18 size. It's best to change all-season and winter tyres when they reach 4mm of tread depth, so a low cost tyre size makes sense.

Front brake upgrade on MK2 Fabia 1.6 TDI
The idea is to give a general idea. Anyone is welcome to continue the list if you have more accurate information. It's always a good idea to measure the diameter of the brake discs yourself. It's easy to do, if you know what the options are, such as either 239mm, 256mm, or 288mm. As you can see below there's no mention of 13" wheels being able to fit the Fabia MK1 1.2i 12V 64HP. I'm a big fan of 13" wheels, especially when fitted with 175/70R13 tyres...which is what the original Golf MK1 GTI used. Lesser models used skinny 155/80R13. What is the recommended tyre pressure front/rear on the Fabia MK2 1.4TDi Greenline with 165/70R14 tyres? 3 Bar (44psi) tyre pressure is too high for 185/65R14 tyres. This would be too much even for the standard 165/70R14 tyres. You need to be using about 0.3 Bar (4psi or 5psi) less tyre pressure with 185/65R14 tyres than with 165/70R14 tyres. Maybe 2.2 Bar (32psi) front and 2.0 Bar (29psi) rear if you only have 1 or 2 people in the car. More if it's fully loaded.

Front brake upgrade on MK2 Fabia 1.6 TDI
The monte carlo trim wouldn't have made any difference to whether you had 256mm or 288mm brakes. The HP of the engine might have done. For example, the 1.2TSi 105HP has 288mm front brakes, but the 1.2TSi 86HP might have 256mm front brakes. It looks like wheel-size.com made a mistake on the MK2 1.2 petrol 105HP because they claim that 14" wheels will fit. I've added the MK2 1.2TSi 105HP to the 288mm front brakes list. I would have thought that the MK2 1.6TDi 105HP and the MK2 1.9TDi 105HP would have 288mm front brakes, but wheel-size.com again claim that 14" wheels will fit those models. 239mm Front Brakes Skoda Fabia MK1 1.0i 50HP Skoda Fabia MK1 1.2i 54HP 256mm Front Brakes Skoda Fabia MK2 1.2TSi 86HP Skoda Fabia MK2 1.6MPi 105HP Skoda Fabia MK2 1.2TDi 75HP Skoda Fabia MK2 1.4TDi 80HP Skoda Fabia MK2 1.6TDi 105HP Skoda Fabia MK2 1.9TDi 105HP Skoda Fabia MK3 1.0TSi 95HP Skoda Fabia MK3 1.2TSi 90HP 288mm Front Brakes Skoda Fabia MK1 1.9TDi 130HP Skoda Fabia MK2 1.2TSi 105HP Skoda Fabia MK2 1.4TSi 180HP Skoda Fabia MK3 1.0TSi 110HP Skoda Fabia MK3 1.2TSi 110HP Skoda Fabia MK3 1.4TDi 90HP Some of the above could be wrong because wheel-size.com often make mistakes.

Aftermarket rear springs that are sold to replace 1K0511115CS are often a lot cheaper than aftermarket rear springs that are sold to replace 5Q0511115AM. With companies like autodoc, if you pay a little extra (about £3 or £4 last time I looked) autodoc will pay for the return postage to Germany on parts that you don't want. autodoc are charging about 60% more for the Sachs rear spring that is sold to replace 5Q0511115AM than the Sachs rear spring that is sold to replace 1K0511115CS. Hence, if these really are virtually identical rear springs, getting the MK2 rear spring could save about £40 on just the rear springs alone.

The Greenline models have sports suspension. This is 15mm lower than standard and makes for a harder ride. You could change the springs to standard and keep the shock absorbers that are on the car, or change to both standard springs and shock absorbers. What OEM part numbers do your front and rear springs have? Or attach a photo of your car's build codes and someone could look the OEM part numbers up. Choice of tyre size makes a big difference to ride comfort. What size tyres have you got fitted? If you have 15" tyres, then changing down to 14" will make a big difference. If you are have 16" tyres, then changing down to 14" or 15" will make a big difference. What tyre pressures are you using? Vrs petrol mpg
The The Octavia MK4 is very aerodynamic. 0.24 for the hatchback and 0.26 for the estate. The 110HP hatchback has a top speed of about 130mph which is very good for that amount of power. If the car only had an aerodynamic performance of 0.34 I expect the car would only do 120mph with 110HP. Steady speed cruising at 50mph+ or on a long run will probably see the MK4 use less fuel than the MK3. Around town where wind resistance has much less significance the lighter MK3 would be better. It's disappointing that Skoda have made the MK4 heavier than the MK3, if that is the case.
