  1. I have 17" rims on mine ( same model as yours ) and have never experienced this problem.
  2. In the video it doesn't state whether the adaptation is done with just ignition on or with engine running at idle. During the Synchro points adaptation part it appears the engine is running as the guy mentions he can feel the engine tugging on the brake. How did you carry out your reset?
  3. There's plenty Skoda can't, or won't, do I suspect that's the case. Not just Skoda, it seems endemic.
  4. Thinking on it further, I reckon all of the 'Business' model(s) would likely have ACC. It was aimed at the rep market who were doing motorway miles.
  5. I used long tweezers, the end result was the same but without the smelly digits.😁
  6. At the lower end of the spec range I would think leather was an option. I'm sure there must be plenty of alcantara configured models out there. I wouldn't necessarily say the leather around the periphery of the alcantara seat is actual "leather" and mine certainly doesn't smell.
  7. Yes they do but I don't know the number. Lots of Briskodans have upgraded to eliminate the bag.
  8. You could get one with ACC and swap the wheels for 17" rims. I guess you'd need to recalibrate the Speedo as part of it. I think this can be done with a VCDS.
  9. I have a 2016 1.6tdi SE Business estate with adaptive CC on 17" rims. It was originally a Southern Water company car so probably would have been spec'd by their fleet dept. I've used it a couple of times but rarely bother anymore. Horses for courses I guess.
  10. I would agree, only because it looks like you can't get access to the silica bag to remove it from your existing tank. New tanks are relatively cheap ~ £35.00 ish. Mine too, but I think that's part of the design.
  11. Indeed yes. I for one am one of the few that seems to like the stop-start feature, plenty don't. Yes it can stuff-you-up sometimes but most of my journeys are distance rather than local so I don't stop that often, plus it's the closest switch to my left hand and can be disabled without even looking at it.
  12. If enabled, It's the first thing I switch off when I get into a car, followed by lane assist. More pain than gain IMO.
  13. Me too. I had something similar done to an old company Mondeo a few years ago and I'm sure it was nearer £1000. That was a main dealer fix though.
  14. Can the noise be generated when stationery, ie just revving the engine to similar rpm or do you have be moving to recreate it? I would be more likely to associate this kind of noise with a transmission fault ( bearing?)
  15. I had the same problem with my last car, a Merc C200. After 5 years Mercedes were still no closer to finding the problem and it still existed when I handed it back. No fault codes recorded and it never happened when I was in a position the take it into the dealer to witness. A switch off-switch on was the only way to reset it.
  16. I think the diagnosis would exceed the capabilities of a VCDS. I'll check my scans both, pre & post software fix, when I get home, to see if there was anything flagged regarding the driving mode button. From memory there wasn't.
  17. It took two trips to Skoda to get my Mode function sorted. As with you, I had no Maxidot display to indicate which mode is was in. Only after it was fixed did I discover it had been stuck in D ( Normal ), probably by default. It needed 2 software updates to get it to work but I have no idea what they were.
  18. By "Autobrake" do you mean Hill Hold, Parking brake or the anti-collision braking system? I would guess that only the last one would be affected by a defective bumper sensor.
  19. Is the driving mode not displayed on the Maxidot, eg D, S or E?
  20. I think these two faults are quite common. Probably brought about during the repair work. Not too painful to get fixed I believe. There are a good few posts on the forum that will give more details.
  21. After the abs fix, is the parking brake now working? Was it ok before the knock to the front?
  22. It doesn't look like a great fit.
  23. I kind of disagree with both of the above statements. Considering the amount of garbage, pointless single-use ( sometimes, think electric seats FFS ) tech that is incorporated into the cars, including something that's actually useful to the end user would be extremely cost effective. They wouldn't have to buy their own test kit or pay for a test at every service. Additionally, think of the hundreds of posts on here regarding Christmas Tree warning displays on the dashboard that end up being caused by......? a bad battery!! Makes sense to me
