Anti roll bar linkage pin or bush excessively worn
I see you can do all this from under the wheel arch, I was crawling under the car, doh. Easy job.

Anti roll bar linkage pin or bush excessively worn
I see them, they have a spline like bolt head connecting them at the top and bottom. I should change the stabiliser bushes as well a bit further up the roll bar however the bolts holding them on seem very difficult to get at, have you done this before without removing all the parts under the roll bar to get access? I found these but I notice my links are secured by a bolt with a spline like head yet on the picture these seem to have bolts fixed into the link, do you think these will be ok? https://www.energizedcustoms.co.uk/suspension/suspension-drop-links/skoda-octavia-2004-2013-front-anti-roll-bar-drop-links-pair.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwub-HBhCyARIsAPctr7zXG1VSKNoE8Qan833kRbYsR5HcZl0m8tDt8qDAptV3BoOpM2pQ6UgaAmdIEALw_wcB

Anti roll bar linkage pin or bush excessively worn
Failed MOT on the above. He actually showed me where the roll bar was and showed the play but I don't actually know what I'm replacing. Am I replacing bushes, stabiliser bushes, joints or a whole section etc. Should I just start dismantling the roll bar and check everything? Any advice would be great.

Oil level fault codes
I get these 2 codes. 00562 Sensor for Oil Level / Temperature (G266) P0196 Engine Oil Temperature Sensor (G8), Implausible Signal Is this the oil level sensor on the bottom of the sump or the oil pressure sensor on the side of the block? Maybe the oil level sensor needs cleaned?

ABS sensor casing on hub side is damaged?
Serious?

ABS sensor casing on hub side is damaged?
The ABS sensor on rear right won't snap into the connector fixed to hub, it got damaged when changing a brake disk. The plastic casing got a bit broken on one side. If I push the sensor in hard it usually clears the engine light but after a short while of driving it must wiggle out a bit and the light comes back on, I assume I need a new hub?

Should there be this much rust in the front brake piston cavity?

Intermittent display of bulb out indicator on dash display
Carista picks up the light fault. Nice piece of kit.

Do I still need to change the oil even though the engine consumes tons of it?
Why does it consume so much oil?

What socket for front caliper guide pin?
Octavia 2007 fsi. This is the part 1J0 615 219 I've seen Torx T40 mentioned but I tried T40 and it's too small.

Intermittent display of bulb out indicator on dash display
The lightbulb light should go out when the fault is fixed so no point in resetting as it will just come on again.

Intermittent display of bulb out indicator on dash display
The cheap reader didn't pick up the light for me, but I've ordered a carista adapter and will tell you if it picks it up on Tuesday if I remember .

Intermittent display of bulb out indicator on dash display
I assume you've checked all the lights front and back, main beam, full beam, side lights, indicators etc? My mistake was checking the full beam when it was too light outside, it's easy to miss something.
-
Intermittent display of bulb out indicator on dash display
I've got the bulb light on in dash. Turns out it's the right full beam. If I wiggle the bulb in its socket I see some small sparks, or arcing, then the light goes off but usually comes back on after a bit. So it could be a lose connection or short somewhere. You have to check every bulb on the car including all the interior bulbs also in boot, reg plate etc, there's quite a few of them.

Clearing airbag code

Clearing airbag code
It's just not my thing to go to a garage and ask for a 'favour' like that. I would have to put it in for a full diagnostic which can cost up to £150 or more etc.

Clearing airbag code
So normal vcds cable is the only thing that will work, I have one of those cheap elm327 Bluetooth scanners and it does work to a degree, reads some codes but it won't turn the airbag light off. There's no cheap cable and software option to turn off airbag light?
-
Clearing airbag code
Your saying the 409 cable won't work or the vcds won't work or both?
-
Clearing airbag code
I bought a kkl 409.1 cable. I tried to clear airbag code with vcds lite but getting a does not respond or something error? Has anybody successfully cleared the code without paying for full version of vcds and using cloned cable?

Timing belt snapped
I can't see how a TB could snap without destroying the engine, there's no room for luck. If I were you I'd start looking for a second hand engine on breakers sites.

Find me a roof rack
I've helped a lot of people on this forum. I've looked and looked at racks but it's still not conclusive if the racks I found will actually fit, it seems to be a minefield. So I thought I'd ask here, maybe someone has the same car.

Find me a roof rack
Pretty sure it's a hatchback, as the boot is attached to the roof. I need the fittings and bars so I guess rack. And as cheap as possible so second hand is fine .

Find me a roof rack
Octavia 2007 FSI ambiente 1.6 petrol. The reg is XX07 so you'd assume it was a 2007 reg however many sites list it as a 2008 car such as Eurocarparts etc. Not sure why.
