  1. All I can think is loose connection, my front right full beam light goes off and the engine light come on. I find if I wiggle the bulb in its holder a bit the light comes on, it doesn't seem obvious to me where the bad connection is as the bulb sits on a metal slot but all I see is if I move the bulb a bit to one side then it comes on. After a small amount of time the engine light comes back on with the light not working again. Hence bad connection. So try wiggling the bulb around in its holder with the indicator on.
  2. If you replaced it before why can't you don't again? I'm pretty sure that an impact sensor which will trigger the airbags under impact. You will need to clear the engine code and afaics will need at least a decent scanner if not the official ross tech scanner itself.
  3. Maybe you could swap the electric motor part over?
  4. I guess you'd be better off selling for parts unless your able to do the work yourself. A few electrical issues there also I think.
  5. A fault with the abs will bring on those 3 lights but not sure why the other things are wonky.
  6. The plastic clip that the abs sensor snaps into has broke how could I secure it in, currently pushing down hard secures it for a while then the light on dash comes on after a few days?
  7. They might be a bit worn down. Phone dealer and get sizes.
  8. Now the lock BOWDEN cable for the inner door handle is not working well, before a slight tug and it would open the door now a strong pull with pliers is needed, does this mean I need a new BOWDEN cable, I assumed it's stretched, or can I adjust it? So the card has been off for a good few days and I've been opening the door by directly pulling the lock cable, obviously something has happened.
  9. I finally fixed my regulator using a repair kit. Now I know you can grease the tracks with lithium grease but what about the plastic gear wheel, should I grease this?
  10. So you only need to clear code, you don't need to reconfigure anything?
  11. I need to take door panel off so I can work on fixing regulator inside. I've read not to disconnect the airbag connector on the back of the door panel as it will need to be reprogrammed after reconnection. Can anybody confirm this before I disconnect it?
  12. It's not putting the card on, you need to put these clips into the door metal first before you put card on.
  13. Yep the clip should go into a hole but it's not obvious how you do this.
  14. Bump. Has anyone successfully Installed window regulator wire, I get the idea you have to wind both ends around the white plastic gear till it's all tight but I can't get the wire around the final corner wheel it's just too tight.
  15. These clips. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311484247535 Does anyone know how you out them in?
  16. I'm trying to replace the window regulator, wire and lifters. I see what your meant to do, wind the wire round the wheel till tight but I can't get the last wind meaning the wire is too loose. Any tips?
  17. You should check with a multimeter that it's getting 12v first. Maybe it has its own fuse also? After that it's likely a part needing replaced.
  18. What about a riveter, I can only find riveters that accept up to 4.8mm rivets, any ideas?
  19. Yep I see, too early for me.
  20. Nice thanks. I probably saw these but assumed they were 100% steel due to steel in title description.
  21. I can only find 6.4mm X 12mm aluminium rivets, I assume these won't do, they need to be 10mm? Can anybody find me 6.4 X 10mm aluminium blind rivets in the UK?
  22. Also do you know the drill bit size to remove these rivets?
  23. Would these work? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6-4mm-x-10mm-Blind-Pop-Rivets-Dome-Open-steel-Body-Steel-Stem-25PK-/281274396869
  24. Could someone help me find rivets that hold the metal plate section on the front passenger door. This metal section in under the door card. SO 2007 1.6 FSI.
  25. 2008 SO FSI 1.6 It seems this is a fairly easy job assuming you don't need to remove and replace rivets? You take off the trims, then take out the circular fasteners that hold the bottom of the window in and reversal to fit new glass? Any tips?
