  1. Both wrong. Garages are for hiding in when the wife’s cross.
  2. Do any of the sensors have a stone chip on them. I’ve seen sensors with bigger chips allow water when raining to trigger the sensor, but then go back to normal operation when it all drys out again.
  3. Also as above. Ten minute idle not good for your engine. I start the car and wait for it to come down off fast idle, then drive conservatively until it reaches running temp.
  4. Check and see if the bung will nip up slightly. If it’s already tight it’s likely the washer.
  5. That looks really smart. Congratulations. really makes me want to De-chrome my own 😂
  6. Mine would be doing about 28-30mpg under those conditions. Has seen 44mpg on a good run.
  7. After coming from a Mercedes, I’m just happy mine works.

  9. Yes. That’s the very one. Think I managed to get a link added above, but inter web, beyond ordering things on the bay of evil just isn’t my thing unfortunately.

  11. I don’t know how to do link thingys on my phone. But the 3.5 V6 in the Ford GT sounds really well.
  12. Always loved the flat 4 in the scooby. The V6 turbo in the Renault gta turbo was a fantastic screamer, and as you’ve already mentioned, in a recent car, the V6 F Type when on song is glorious.
  13. If the Merc is 4wd check it very carefully. To the best of my knowledge they still can’t fix the crabbing and scrubbing issue at low speed. Wears tyres and just feels horrible. My last one was corroding before it was out of warranty and until I binned it, bits just liked to randomly fall off on a weekly basis. Think I sank about 10k into it in the five years after warranty, and when I sold it, it needed a front diff and torque converter. Great driving thing, and mega comfortable, but just Grimm when front shocks were £3600 a pair and stealing rack was £2400 etc. A lot of bits are also dealer only. Hope you get sorted with the DG one your chasing. Really no need for Dealers to behave in that sort of manner.
  14. Last factory engine we fitted to an M5 was 8k. Makes that diff look expensive. Although they sent us a crank first of all that was that poorly manufactured from the factory that they did a deal on the unit they sent us. The crank on its own was 5k should have said it was the 4.4 unit. 👍🏻
  15. Just on the off chance, pull the interior and exterior handles at the same time and see if sorts it. Sometimes does and sometimes doesn’t. Most likely suspect is the locking mechanism.
  16. Of all the reasons I have for not liking BMW, stick farting wasn’t one I’d ever considered.
  17. Looks well. Great motor. If it’s a tdci unit I’d change the fuel filter every other year and ignore the Ford service schedule for it. They’ve a habit of causing starting issues. Enjoy!!
  18. From 1st March PlayStation are starting their stay at home free game again. They will have a new one each month for I think 4 months. In March the 2016 version of Ratchet and Clank is free even without PlayStation plus. Just incase anyone’s interested.
  19. All I can say is that I have the Westfalia bar with 7 pin and dedicated electrics. Was about £600 fitted. Good solid bar and that seems to be about the price of them.
  20. I’m considering having my L&K estate completely de-chromed. I’ve been quote £400 plus vat to do the lot including roof rails and grill etc. Has anyone else had it done and have any photos? Im not sure on gloss, satin or matte black. instinct is gloss but don’t want it to be too much on the rails.
  21. I’ve one in my TSI unit as well. Disastrous thing if it leaks. It won’t be staying in mine much longer. If you remove the bottle, most of them can be coaxed out intact.
  22. It has to be an individual thing at the end of the day. I was slated by friends years ago while in my early twenty’s for driving Rover 800 Vitesse’s and 620ti’s when they were all driving Gsi Corsa’s and civic type R’s. I loved my 24V Carlton as well. For some people it’s simply down to brand image. The car they want to be seen in rather than the car they enjoy. For years I’ve been in the enviable position of not giving a S##t what people think. I’ve had and driven many of the cars people crave and dream about. Things like TVR Cerberas and a Sagaris, Ferrari, Lamborghini, XF RS, 997 turbo, E63, Various RS models from Audi etc etc. And the thing that surprises most folks who chase the image side of it, is that when it all comes down to it, I’d choose something like a Fiesta ST over all of them, as there’s nothing that damn special about any of them. It’s just something about the event of driving more than the pretentious nonsense that most people chase that I long for more than anything. I drive things because I just like cars. And if people could in a lot of cases just get past their own fake persona, their car choices would be completely different. I remember a Renault GTA turbo years and years ago. It was a terrible car to live with, but so much fun none of it mattered. It’s an experience I just can’t find these days.
  23. I came from a Mercedes on Airmatic. 😄
