DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
Sorry I don't look at the speed, more so the RPM. Also I work in km/hr. But it would be above 10 mph to answer your question.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Damn impressive torque at the crank then!!! No my point was given your significant power drop off from around 4800 RPM you'd be best to change up a gear as both your power and torque die rapidly from 4800 rpm onwards.

Also looking at your graph you’d be best to upchange gears earlier than redline. Any reason why you're not getting the 370 HP (275 kW) APR are quoting on their website, including a power curve similar to this? https://www.goapr.com/products/software/ecu_upgrade/parts/ECU-20T-EA888-3-T-IS38 Edit just realised you have the smaller turbo....damn those are impressive torque figures from the smaller turbo!!!

Are those figures ATW?

DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
Sportline 206TSI (280 BHP). DQ250 DSG. I downshift from 2nd to 1st when the car is still moving. It’s known as compression braking. Letting the engine do the work. if the gearbox isn’t designed to do this then VAG need to not allow it in manual/paddle mode. one has to remember that the 1st gear ratio on the DSG isn’t as small as a manual gearbox (ie I never changed down from second to first in my last manual Octavia vRS as you’d end up being ejected through the windscreen due to the manual gear box low first gear ratio). it’s not like it redlines when I downshift. Might go from 2000rpm in second to 3500-4000rpm in first.

Impressive torque figure. Which APR Stage 1 map did you go with? Also are those figures above at the wheel?

DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
All depends if you drive your car like a manual or leave it in full automatic mode. I get bored driving in automatic mode hence the downshifts.

Yep thanks.

DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
So continuing on my DSG dilemmas I’ve noticed since my new DSG install that intermittently (although appears to becoming more frequent) when using the engine and gears for compression braking I’m lacking compression braking. Mainly when changing down from 3rd to 2nd the car doesn’t want to compression brake. More just coast. Almost feels like the clutch is slipping in reverse (in compression braking as opposed to hard driving through the gears). anyone heard of anything similar with the DSG gearbox? I checked my settings to see if somehow the car/engine had been switched into eco mode hence coasting kicking in when compression braking but it was still in “normal” setting against “drive”.

Skoda Superb 2023 model
Looks like they're going down the same route as the new Passat. Boxy front and rear. Don't like it.

What size wheels/tyres will fit to Superb III
Apologies for the thread revival but what rims are these please? Brand and style thanks.

What are these Alloys?
Does anyone know where I can find the protrusion dimension of the hub centrebore on the Superb 280 4*4 (19 inch rims) without taking the wheel off? see picture at the bottom of the webpage in the link below for the dimension I’m wanting to know. https://caold.com.au/products/copy-of-wheel-slip-on-spacer-5mm-5x100-56-1-mm-73-1-mm-hub-centric-lip-2-pcs

Holy crap those are insane figures. What’s your 0-100km/hr times? who’d ya go Stage 3 with?

DRG transmission problem - fixed
Would warranty actually cover clutch packs? Dealer would say that’s wear and tear. 2 weeks to replace flywheel and clutch packs? What the.
-
What are these Alloys?
Unfortunately the reps are a larger centrebore. They do this so they fit more cars.
-
What are these Alloys?
Also looking at rep wheels which are load rated to 690kg. This seems a little low to me for the Skoda Superb 4x4. Thoughts?
-
What are these Alloys?
Question. If I buy hub centric spacers that fit my OEM wheel centrebore (57.1mm) but later on buy aftermarket rims with a larger centrebore (66.5mm) and use hub centric rings on the aftermarket wheels will the aftermarket rims with hub centric rings fit/work on my hub centric spacers that fitted on my OEM wheels?

How many people do that catch with this?
They’re not called stealers for nothing.

Service plans
Do this!!! It’s worth its weight in gold and the stealers servicing isn’t worth the piece of paper it’s written on.

Superb Sportline or L&K 272 or 280

DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
So latest is picked car up from dealer (new alternator). They test drive another Sportline and couldn’t find any dissimilar DSG issues between that car and mine. They couldn’t replicate the crunching from 2nd to 1st downshifts. Their advice was to not downshift from 2nd to 1st unless the car comes to a complete stop as this is what the car does in automatic mode. I just laughed took my keys and left.

New Battery Needed??
Dealer under warranty. As they should have. Didn’t come to the party for paying for towing costs mind you.
-
New Battery Needed??
Dealer responded saying battery is charged and under warranty until March 2024. Pretty much gave me the middle finger.
-
New Battery Needed??
So dealer said my alternator was cactus. Find that incredibly hard to believe in a less than 2 year old car which never uses auto start/stop. Alternator replaced. here’s my question. If they’ve forgotten to put back properly an earthing strap after replacing the DSG and you hooked up a multimeter to the battery wouldn’t it look like the alternator wasn’t charging the battery properly and hence you would “think” the alternator is cactus but in reality the same non ability for the new alternator to charge the battery will occur over the next few days I drive the car? Also should I be demanding a new battery as I’ve read if you discharge the battery so low sulfation of the battery can occur hence the life of my current battery has been compromised due to the stuffed alternator?

DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
That’s def the case with the Superb (162TSI) loan car I have at the moment. The gear shifts are much much smoother than my Sportline particularly when downshifting under load.
