  1. I’m no expert so I could be missing something but how does circumference affect ABS. Doesn’t ABS measure whether the wheel is moving or not moving. If it’s not moving then it reduces the braking pressure. I don’t understand how circumference would affect this?
  2. It’s a fashion thing with the 20 inch rims and wider tyres trying to fill out the huge distance left by the stock rims and tyres to the guard edges. I have a Sportline which is a 4x4
  3. In a similar fashion I have another question about changing the diameter of your wheels/tyres. Is there any issue with having a different diameter tyre on the front to the rears. I have a Superb Sportline and looking at putting 20 inch rims with different widths/offsets on the fronts to the rears. So to get tyres to match the differing rims I have to have different tyres front to rears and hence different outside diameters as follows: - Stock = 235/40/R19 (DIameter 670.6mm) - Fronts = 245/35/R20 (Diameter 679.5mm change of 1.31% = 9mm on diameter) - Rears = 255/30/R20 (Diameter 661mm change of -1.45% = -10mm on diameter) I know I could change the fronts to 240/35/R20 to reduce it to +5mm on diameter but I'd prefer the slightly wider tyres if I can. Is this OK to run different tyres front and rear? I assume the superb records the speed from the front wheels? Any other issues with doing the above setup?
  4. Thanks. I’ve also been looking at TVS only problem is I’m not getting very good correspondence from the local TVS installer in Brisbane Australia. He’s trying to up sell me intercooler downpipe etc which I’m not interested in.
  5. Ok thanks. And you’re happy with it? No issues? And can I ask what year your car is please?
  6. Who’s your Stage 1 (360 hp) with and what torque are you achieving?
  7. My Skoda superb Sportline 6 speed DSG was occasionally crunching when downshifting manually from 2nd to first. Took it to the dealer today and they apparently did a DSG relearn. Will see if it’s fixed the crunching but I’m not confident.

  9. Great thank you. And both front and rears sit fairly flush with your guards?
  10. What rims and specs are these please? Spacers?
  11. Checked the sunglass cabinet above the rear view mirror? I have my garage door remote in there and it rolls around after I use the remote.
  12. I have an issue with my superb Sportline Bluetooth connection. If I’m on the phone before I start the car when I start the car and the Bluetooth connects in the car and then the phone call clicks over to the car both myself and the person on the phone can only hear every second word of the conversation for about the first 10 sec of the Bluetooth clicking over. It just intermittently cuts out every second word for both of us. After that the phone call is fine. Taken it to the dealer twice and they’ve done aN infotainment software update which they said should have fixed it but it’s still doing it which is very annoying. Anyone else experience this and/or got any known solutions to fix it please?
  13. Sorry one other question please. What ET are your new rims and how flush are they to the guards now please?
  14. Looks good but I’m a little confused how the arch gap is greater than OEM in the rear? How come? It certainly doesn’t look like that in your pics? edit: just re read your post and the gap is post eibach springs. I understand now. A few questions. Are the eibach pro different to just eibach? And what clearance do you know have from the underside of the front bumper to the road please (I have a steep driveway). thanks
  15. Looks good. How much clearance do you have off the front bumper to the ground now?
  16. 25000km It doesn’t do it all the time. Maybe no more than 5% of the time.
  17. I have a question on the DQ250. I have the superb sportline 280 and sometimes when manually (paddles) changing down from 2nd to 1st I get a clunk/crunching sound. Almost like you’ve let the clutch out too early before being in gear in a manual. Does anyone else also get this?
  18. That’s a solid increase in Torque. A little low on the HP however. Who’s map did you get please?
  19. Well I use the physical key to lock the car and then use the same key to unlock it, at which point when I open the door the alarm goes off.
  20. I have a question on this. I use the key a lot as I surf so I put the remote inside the car close the door and then manually lock the car with the key. After my surf I come back with the key and unlock the doors. All is fine until I open the door at which point the car alarm goes off until I use the remote unlock button. Quite embarrassing each time I come back from a surf. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?
  21. Thanks for your detailed response. Hope your post covid recovery is a speedy one.
  22. Why don’t RaceChip quote torque figure upgrades also?
  23. Can’t say I’ve ever driven in Eco mode!!
