  1. Ah OK thanks. Thought a DQ250 was DQ250 in every car, but clearly there's different DQ250's.
  2. Latest update from dealer is that their technician wants to find a car with the same gearbox (DQ250) as mine and test drive that car and then test drive mine to compare the gearboxes. Dealer said they’re having difficulty finding another Sportline as this is the only Skoda car with the DQ250 box. Is this true? Surely not. I’ve got a superb loan car at the moment with the 162TSI engine. It has a 6 speed. Is it not the DQ250? I’m in Oz BTW. This Aussie article states both the 162TSI and 206TSI (Sportline) have a 6 speed DSG but it doesn’t indicate if they’re the same gearbox (DQ250)? https://www.carsguide.com.au/car-news/2021-skoda-superb-pricing-and-specs-detailed-new-162tsi-style-grade-arrives-for-facelifted
  3. The car basically started shutting everything down. AC stopped working power steering stopped, it then started shuddering so it basically wasn’t even getting enough charge from the battery to run the engine. I’m thinking the battery isn’t able to charge as the dealer stuffed something up after the DSG replacement. So jump starting won’t fix the dead battery enough to get the car moving again. it’s being towed to the dealer on Monday morning. Their problem now.
  4. Ok thanks. It’s currently dead on the side of the road. I’ve emailed the dealer and will call them first thing on Monday morning getting them to organise towing to their workshop.
  5. When I started it this morning it didn’t turn over first time and instead it made two large clicks in succession and then it turned over. Would that be the starter motor? my other question is if the dealer has stuffed up when replacing the DSG how likely are they to admit fault to me? Because wouldn’t this also then allow me to make multiple claims down the track if other issues arise. Also where did you see the instructions for removal please?
  6. Sorry it’s the 2L TSI Sportline/280PS with DQ250 DSG
  7. So I just got my DSG replaced this week by the dealership. That was completed on Thursday. Car didn’t start properly Saturday morning in my garage. Car hesitated and clicked twice before starting. I then drove it some 2-3km away where I turned the car off and went for coffee. Upon returning to my car it would not start at all and the symptoms appeared to be a flat battery. This seems too coincidental to me that the workshop did work on my car and then I have these starting problems within 2 days I rang road assist to come and assess. Whilst waiting for road assist I googled and found this thread which above indicated that the OP stated that if the battery was dying then the car should have advised with me with a “low battery” warning but I did not get any such warning messages, so I went back into the car and went to turn the ignition back on to see if the low battery warning message would come on, when the car instantly started. Upon re-start the message “Error: Auto Start/Stop error” displayed on the dash. I then decided to take the car on a long drive to charge up the battery. However half way into my long drive I got the error message “12V battery unable to charge” and the car told me to pull over. I have lost all Air Con, power steering functions and the car is completely dead now on the side of the road. I don’t believe it’s a dead battery issue. ie I don’t believe a new battery will just fix the issue. It may restart the car but I think there’s a possible electrics issue with the car. Car isn’t even 2 years old and I never ever use Auto Start/Stop function so I’m not draining the heavy duty battery. I believe there is an earthing cable on the gearbox mount. Can anyone confirm this? If so, it would appear this was not re-instated by the workshop or has come loose with the DSG replacement and unable to charge the battery.
  8. Also noticed new DSG slams a little harder into 2nd and 3rd gear when up shifting manually under load. Not sure if this should be a concern also but it certainly didn’t feel like my old DSG changed that hard.
  9. Yes mine is 5 year warranty but all new Skodas are 7 year in Oz now. What’s my suspension got to do with my crunching DSG? BTW suspension is only a month old whereas DSG has been crunching for at least the last 18000km.
  10. It was the acting manager of the service department. He spoke to the head tech this morning. My car is a MY21 Superb Sportline (same as 280PS overseas). It’s done around 38,000km but the problems with the DSG crunching have easily been there for some time (since around 20k I’d guess).
  11. Dealer rang me back this morning and said that with the DQ 250 the whole unit is replaced as one complete DSG (mechatronics and clutch pack). So brand spanking new DSG and first drive it crunches from 2nd to 1st. Not happy.
  12. DSG replaced today. Picked car up from dealer and driving car home I downshifted from 2nd to first whilst going down a hill and guess what……..crunch went the gear box. Turned around and drove car straight back to dealer and voiced my anger and frustration on the problem still being there even after a brand new DSG. Dealer couldn’t tell me exactly what they replaced (technicians had left for the day). Wasn’t sure if it was just the mechatronics or that and the clutch packs. They will let me know tomorrow. so getting sick and tired of this DSG issue and just reconfirms why I chose a manual in my previous Skoda. (Australia don’t offer manuals in Superb Sportlines).
  13. https://www.wheelfitment.eu/car/Skoda/Superb (2015 - ).html interestingly this website says torque to 140NM and yet most others says 120NM?
  14. Thanks. how do you know the bolts/thread will fit?
  15. Anyone know why these wouldn't fit a MY21 Superb Sportline (Australia)? https://justjap.com/products/jjr-15mm-bolt-on-wheel-spacers-vw-audi-m14-x-1-5-13r-17-hex-5-x-112-57-1mm?currency=AUD Weird they don't list the Passat B8 or Audi S3 as compatible (both of which I'm assuming are compatible with a MkIII Superb Sportline?)?
  16. I saw one of these the other day and it really caught my eye. Quite Merc looking like.
  17. Actually this was too high. Low beams were too high and high beams were pointing into the sky. Adjusted them back lower in an underground carpark (day time) so will see what happens next night drive. Although low beams look good now the high beams still look a little high to me.
  18. So I’m a little confused reading all of the above. Can you manually adjust the bi xenon’s up on a Sportline? If so anyone have links to instructions on how do to this please? Edit: Found it. White knob on top of each full led matrix headlight in engine bay. All good now.
  19. Year? Is it a manual or DSG? Do you have an Auto Hold On/Off button down on the RHS of the gear lever? If so I'd be showing this to the dealer and saying "see that button....fix it so it works!!!".
  20. Did you work this out or the Dealer? I’ve had an ad hoc error where no camera displayed when reversing but it’s only a rare ad hoc occurrence.
  21. I have a knocking sound just behind the dash/central vents not long after I start the car and drive away. Pretty much happens most times I start and drive away. Only happens for around 3 sec and then it’s gone. Still annoying and it just doesn’t sound right (ie sounds as though something is wrong).
  22. So turns out my eye visuals aren't too far off. Compared before (stock sportline springs with DCC) and after (Eibach pro for AWD wagon) measurements front and rear (measured both from ground to arch and hub centre to arch) are: Fronts lowered 25mm Rears lowered 30mm
  23. I just noticed in the "Individual" settings there's a setting for Lighting Assistance....can choose between "normal" and "sport". Mine was set to normal. Have changed to sport.....not sure what they will do?
