Knocking noise at low speed possibly around dashboard area?
I get knocking coming from around or behind the AC vents in the dash. No idea what it is and yes it’s annoying. Seems to do it more so just after the cars started. I just turn the radio up!!

Boot lid recall
Skoda are assuming then that you get your car serviced at the stealers!!!

Boot lid recall
Did you get a letter/email? I've received nothing but when I put my VIN in the above clearly shows up. Surely Skoda have an obligation here to contact owners on recalls etc?

2016 superb style radio volume
I get this same issue. But it's not just no volume on the radio. It's no volume from anything, radio, USB, bluetooth, Navigation, phone calls......nothing comes through. Only way to fix it is to stop car, get out, lock it, walk away for 5 min and then come back. Something during that time seems to reset. Have taken it back to the dealer and each time they just run the latest software update to the infotainment unit and say it's all fixed......clearly it isn't!!!

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Is there a formal recall notice # for this please?

Dangerous tyre wear on inside shoulder
Wouldn’t a bent axle mean the tyre wear would be more on one tyre than the other? And yet the pics show both tyres screwed.
-
Dangerous tyre wear on inside shoulder
If the camber is less than 2 then it shouldn’t be wearing the tyres out that badly and quickly assuming you abide by the recommended upper end of tyre pressures. Something else must be out to cause that severe wear. If the camber is ok why is the garage saying the axle Is stuffed? What tyre pressure partic in the rears do you run?

4 wheel alignment results - Superb Estate
Sorry for the thread revival but I'm also having the dreaded inner shoulder tyre wear. What higher tyre pressure helps with this? I usually inflate to 36 PSI cold. I note the fuel flap tyre pressure recommendations for my tyre vary (depending on how loaded the car is) from 36 PSI to 40 PSI or even higher (46PSI) in the rears when the car is fully loaded.

Dangerous tyre wear on inside shoulder
Question, is the camber and caster adjustable on the Superb 4*4 (front and/or rear). I thought they are, but wheel alignment place is now saying neither are adjustable on my vehicle?? I think they're now telling me porkies.

Dangerous tyre wear on inside shoulder
So just got my tyres rotated and wheel alignment done (get this done every 10-15,000km). Tyres are OEM Bridgestone Potenza 235/40/19 and done 42,000km. Car is MkIII Estate 4x4. And I also have the dreaded inside shoulder tyre wear. Wear is on all 4 tyres but was worse on the fronts. Same tyre place that did the alignment and wheel rotation last August (2022) and they didn't say anything about tyres wearing on the inside shoulder then. However I did get Eibach lowering springs put on the car back in January 2023 and yes it had a wheel alignment done then (by others however). So the question is, is it likely that this tyre wear has occurred since lowering the car or did my usual tyre place miss it back in August last year? I've asked the tyre place for the print out of before and after (they printed out the wrong one from last August when I picked up the car up today). From reading the above is it fair to say the inside shoulder wear is predominantly due to increased negative camber? If so should I ask the tyre place to reduce this negative camber ie closer to the lowest spec setting of -0deg50'? Upper spec limit is -1deg50'. I still have plenty of tyre tread left (particularly on what were the rears, now the fronts) so want to get as much tyre life as I can. P.S Most of my kms are highway driving and I occasionally tow a jetski, but this would have been like only once or twice since January (having the car lowered).

Oil temp worries
And how have the results been?

Oil temp worries
If you’re concerned about the oil temps you could try using liquid moly ceratec. It’s known to reduce friction and hence lower oil temps.

Superb -16 2.0 280hp idle problem
Hmmm, no idea then. If it was worse on cold start then I'd say you've got carbon build up on the intake manifold as that's a common and known problem with the VAG engines around the 100,000 km mark. But if it's worse after it's warmed up then I don't think it would be this

Superb -16 2.0 280hp idle problem
What year and how many kms have you done? Is it worse when the car is cold. Ie it goes away or is less pronounced after the car has warmed up?

272. Remap or not?

DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
Not sure how you get compression braking with an electric motor.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Nice. How hard was the install?

DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
Ok fair to say there’s differences of opinion on this which I appreciate everyone’s opinions. But for those who believe the gearbox isn’t designed for downshifting from 2nd to 1st unless you’ve come to a complete stop just try the following. Throw the DSG into sport mode. Drive in S2 at around 3000rpm (which is around 40km/hr). Dump your right foot on the accelerator. What happens. DSG downshifts under full throttle to S1 jumping up to around 4000-4500rpm under full torque from the engine. now which scenario is putting more strain on your gearbox. The one above or downshifting from 2nd to 1st under engine compression braking.

Superb 3 2.0 TSI 280 HP blown turbo and destroyed engine
Sorry to hear. And out of warranty?

DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
Agree it’s geared appropriately but it’s also just another gear to use. As I said I’m not redlining it each time I change down.
-
DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
I have an invoice from the dealer that states replaced DSG including part numbers and labour job codes. Are you suggesting the dealer is committing fraud?
-
DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
How is downshifting from 2nd to 1st any different from downshifting from 3rd to 2nd in terms of hurting the DSG? It’s just engaging the clutch and changing down to a lower gear. Just like it does from 4 to 3 or 3 to 2 etc. Throw the DSG in sport mode and it will do it at the drop of a hat from 3rd to 2nd every time you’re slowing up.

DSG Reset (Basic Settings)
Well if you're compression braking then that kinda answers your question in itself doesnt it.
