  1. Hey Guys, I have a Superb iV, had it for a while now but have one thing that has been niggling me... When I move from one of the forward gears to reverse there is always a one or two second delay from putting the DSG box into reverse and the accelerator pedal actually being responsive. I have to make a point or making sure the car has come to a complete stop, take a very short pause and then reverse. I don't have the same problem when the car is already stationary. Is this common?
  2. I wonder if there is any preventative maintenance that fellow iv owners should do to stop this from happening in the future.
  3. I would definitely be keen on this as would like DCC to be mid way between normal and sport. Good luck, do let us know how you get on!
  4. Watching this as exactly the same happened to mine earlier this week! My car is still under warranty so depending upon complexity of the job I may get the dealer to do it when they fix my SOS error that won't clear!
  5. Did this solve the yellow warning triangle on the dash? I've tried the soft reboot of infotainment but to no avail, I was thinking of doing master reset but wasn't sure this would do anything with the warning triangle errors. I have vcds and have run a scan and cleared all the codes but sos error remains. I just have to take it into skoda.
  6. Thanks guys. I ended up using the rear wiper fuse as well. All working as it should now.
  7. Hi, I know this has been asked many a time and I have tried the search function but can't find a thread for the 2020 Superb. Some guidance would be very useful as to which fuse I should piggy back to hardwire the dashcam. I have tried 35 but that didn't power the dashcam even with the ignition on. Here is the fuse diagram for my car https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1974375/Skoda-Superb-Iv-2020.html?page=190#manual
  8. My software was running version 0156 and a dealer update took it to 0278. Unfortunately I can't tell you if wireless AA worked on 0156 as I have only just got a compatible phone but I can confirm it works on 0278. I have an iV too so will be the same as yours. There is definitely an update available for yours
  9. I too bought an ex demo, I got the SEL with couple of extras (VC, reverse camera) which came to just under £40k list price so have luckily escaped the 'luxury car' tax. I do like the sportline, was just slightly over budget to begin with and the extra road tax just ruled it out for me.
  10. langers2k I knew I was missing something! That makes sense now thank you!
  11. Just been looking at Road Tax costs for the Superb iV but I am a little confused. Purchase price when new was sub £40k. On the V5, co2 g/km is 35 and its classed as an Alternative Fuel Car. On this basis and checking the gov website here I would have expected the Road Tax to be nil but by typing in my car reg it says road tax is £145. Am I missing something or is it worth challenging the road tax band for the car?
  12. I've seen some previous posts before but can you change what soped HBA is activated at?
  13. I've been trying to work out how the credits work. Have done quite a bit of searching and reading around and understand the credits get out towards some automated coding but I'm trying to understand roughly how much credit certain mods would cost. I don't suppose there is a price list anywhere? I have a MY20 SUPERB IV... I'm reading mixed reports on whether Obdeleven would work on it?
  14. Very similar to the issues I had on my 2020 iv. My software was running version 0156 and the update took it to 0278. Login screen issues fully resolved, the car doesn't ask you to select a user now, it just knows who the user is based upon the key (I spent HOURS trying to get this to work when I first got the car and gave up in the end). Androidauto seems a bit more stable although I did have to uninstall a couple of apps and reinstall them to get them to work again.
  15. Thanks for the comments guys. I measured the tyres myself this time and tyre in question is actually 4mm and not 2mm. So I'm less concerned now than I was before. Still wearing faster than the others but not quite as bad.
  16. Just had mine back from being serviced. Got them to do the software update, the MIB3 system is now at software version 0278. Assigning users to the key fobs now works and the system powers on and loads up a lot faster than previously. Only snag is I have two notifications about the data esim that despite deleting won't actually clear. Dealer reckons it took 4 hours to update
  17. Thanks for the responses. All four tyres are Pirelli P7 235.45.R18. There are plenty of speed bumps near where I am.. one ones that don't cover the whole width of the road (hopefully that makes sense!)
  18. Morning all, Just had car serviced, it's 2 years old, 18000 miles on the clock. 3 tyres all have 6mm of thread left but the front left wheel only has 2mm. Doesn't seem right to me. Is there anything I should he asking the garage to check for me?
  19. I've just replaced my OEM ones from a Jan 2020 Superb. Just fitted the Bosch ones... nice and quiet now 🙂
  20. Out of interest how many miles per KWh are you averaging in pure electric mode? Or is it impossible to tell?
  21. I'm hoping a Model 3 will be my next move. Currently driving the Superb iV. If you can spare the time to share your thoughts of the Model 3 vs Superb once you've had it a little while I'd be really interested.
  22. Hey John, I would be interested in this as I also have the iV. Do you have any more info on this?
  23. By comparison I have the Superb iV, on the occasional time I have forgotten to charge it and have to rely solely on the 1.4tsi for a 3 mile school run I get circa 22-25 mpg.
  24. There were also minor changes between 2020 and 2021 build dates of the Mk3 (certainly in the case of the iV)... this is the info I got from a dealership at the time... The main difference with the MY21 is the new 2 spoke steering wheel and some minute changes to spec. Other changes include: Removal of torch llight in boot Removal of warning lights/safety reflectors in front doors Auto dipping wing mirror now only applicable to drivers side USB A port has been replaced by USB C Port
  25. I think VC is also standard on SEL spec, was an extra before.
