  1. I’ve found driving in eco with DSG to clean the rears up lovely, it still looks like my pads are like an 1” too small as the outer edge of disc looks untouched (but weird) but at least the middle has come up better at 36k or so
  2. That’s most likely it as it’s when I leave the car for ages. I’ve only done around 6k miles in 4 years and once a year it goes on a 4 hour holiday drive. Other than that sits on my drive thinking “who has bought me...” 😀
  3. That works as expected just rarely it’s still turned on despite the car being turned off for a week
  4. Bit of an odd one here and very rare but sometimes when starting the car the passenger seat is already on max. I know if you drive, stop then return it remembers, but today it happened and last time I drove it was a week ago Very odd and so rare i’m not too fussed, unless someone else has had this and found the problem
  5. Noticed the dashboard cluster needles look like mini lightsabers
  6. What I don’t understand as well is when Skoda lift the cars it looks like it’s done on the sills but just use flat pads and doesn’t cause any damage. Is that because it’s lift at all 4 points and load is spread?
  7. Thanks, though that panel area seems scary to me. i saw a trolley jack pad from power flex which looks stepped so taller one side than the other which looks like it’ll be perfect, I have emailed them to confirm first though. Is your axle stand flat? Mines more like a V shape but not fussed if I need to buy more. I need to buy a new trolley jack anyway because when I used it on my Passat the back of the trolley jack lifted in the air
  8. That’s the standard jacking points, is this where you use your trolley jack, if so do you use the hockey puck to protect the sills from crushing? Also where do you put the axle stand?
  9. Hey up, If anyone is jacking up their car soon are you able to take pictures of exactly where you put the trolley jack (pictures of the jack and any pucks used would be amazing) And where you put the axle stands. I know i’m asking for a lot but if you can show front and rear locations that would be amazing! Quality pictures as well 😀 Cheers 👍
  10. Mentioned there but personally i’ve never had that on any of my VAG cars for over 14 years. Do you have any rings on the fingers you use to open doors? Or have acid for sweat? 😆
  11. I had the chrome door surround fixed under warranty/recall/whatever naff rear discs but since I’ve been driving in eco recently they’ve come back to life. thats it really but since I’ve had the car for 4 years I’ve only done around 6k miles 😆, PCP deal is ending in July and will pay the balloon payment
  12. I just looked at mine says silikat on the side. had a look inside and can’t see anything but I can see something similar to that in the caddy photo. I may have the twin walled one but I still couldn’t see it unless it’s at the back. On the twin walled system is the bag always in the same place or could it be different locations?
  13. I asked in the Karoq section and the lights are in the overhead interior light section and not the rear view mirror where I thought :(
  14. I believe I saw the lights and put my hand out and assumed it was from the rear view mirror and not the top interior lights, doh. many thanks for looking 👍
  15. Pretty sure they were in the rear view mirror. Though I am doubting myself now hmm, is yours a 70 plate?
  16. *picture of the bottom (not understand)
  17. Haha I’ve got DSG too but love the idea of it. I wanted to install the W8 Passat rear view mirror as that had the down lights on my old Passat but wasn’t plug and play so gave up in the end. No doubt this will be plug and play but £398 is game over for me
  18. Hello, I recently test drove a Karoq and noticed the two white leds in the rear view mirror pointing down to the console. I believe it was a 70 plate (2020/2021) and SEL spec. I was wondering if someone is able to take a picture of the understand to get the part number or write it down? many thanks
  19. Had a look, there’s a lot of different versions of rear view mirrors and not clear what’s what, so i’ll ask on the karoq forum to see if someone can give me the p/n. Either way some of them look expensive, one of them is £398 alone
  20. Ah, the Karoq definitely had them, not sure on the trim level though, believe it was SEL. I’ll fire up ETKA and have a butchers as would be a nice little modification
  21. I drove a Karoq not long ago and noticed the rear view mirror had the two ambient lights pointing down. Has anyone put one of these in the Superb and was it plug and play? Admittedly I can’t remember if the Superb has this already, I could go outside but it’s at least 3meters away 😆
  22. I certainly brake more with it in eco as there’s very little engine braking or DSG magic going on
  23. Since passing MOT i’ve been using the eco mode and I must say my rear discs have cleared up dramatically, still grim though
  24. Thought i’d jump on the band wagon
  25. When you say the carrier doesn’t need to be removed, does that mean the disc slides in and out with carrier in situ or do you still need to remove the bottom screw and lift the carrier up then the disc comes out? Pretty sure when I done the tears on my b5.5 Passat it just slide in which was nice
