Rear view mirror down lights
I believe I saw the lights and put my hand out and assumed it was from the rear view mirror and not the top interior lights, doh. many thanks for looking 👍

Rear view mirror down lights
Pretty sure they were in the rear view mirror. Though I am doubting myself now hmm, is yours a 70 plate?

Rear view mirror ambient lights
Haha I’ve got DSG too but love the idea of it. I wanted to install the W8 Passat rear view mirror as that had the down lights on my old Passat but wasn’t plug and play so gave up in the end. No doubt this will be plug and play but £398 is game over for me

Rear view mirror down lights
Hello, I recently test drove a Karoq and noticed the two white leds in the rear view mirror pointing down to the console. I believe it was a 70 plate (2020/2021) and SEL spec. I was wondering if someone is able to take a picture of the understand to get the part number or write it down? many thanks

Rear view mirror ambient lights
Had a look, there’s a lot of different versions of rear view mirrors and not clear what’s what, so i’ll ask on the karoq forum to see if someone can give me the p/n. Either way some of them look expensive, one of them is £398 alone

Rear view mirror ambient lights
Ah, the Karoq definitely had them, not sure on the trim level though, believe it was SEL. I’ll fire up ETKA and have a butchers as would be a nice little modification

Rear view mirror ambient lights
I drove a Karoq not long ago and noticed the rear view mirror had the two ambient lights pointing down. Has anyone put one of these in the Superb and was it plug and play? Admittedly I can’t remember if the Superb has this already, I could go outside but it’s at least 3meters away 😆

Rear discs replacment
I certainly brake more with it in eco as there’s very little engine braking or DSG magic going on

Rear discs replacment
Since passing MOT i’ve been using the eco mode and I must say my rear discs have cleared up dramatically, still grim though

What have you done to your Superb III today?

Rear discs replacment
When you say the carrier doesn’t need to be removed, does that mean the disc slides in and out with carrier in situ or do you still need to remove the bottom screw and lift the carrier up then the disc comes out? Pretty sure when I done the tears on my b5.5 Passat it just slide in which was nice

Tyre life
Hello all, How many miles do you roughly get between new tyre change? My car is on the originals from new (registered March 16) and around 37k miles and still 4mm tread all round. To me this seems good (comparing to previous cars), so i’m not sure if the superb is good on tyre usage or whether Pirelli P7’s are good as i’ve never used them before. Only problem with mine is the edges are perishing slightly . I’ve heard if you don’t use the car a lot the edges can perish due to low usage and when you use it an oil or something is released to prevent it, sounds like BS to me though haha

Rear discs replacment
So that means you don’t need a piston rewind/pushing on the rears?

Rear discs replacment
It doesn’t necessarily have to be VCDS but you need something similar because of electronic parking brake. I believe it either disengages or winds back a little then wind in manually I believe (if someone knows, do you still have to wind the piston back after EBP has been deactivated/whatever it does?) My car has passed thankfully so will either DIY or independent to do it for me. My lease is up soon and still pondering wether to buy it at end of PCP or get another but I need a job for the latter if not balloon payment it is.

Rear discs replacment
My rear discs are awful, admittedly I don’t do many miles at all (shouldn’t even have a diesel by the miles I do) but having read on here many people seem to have the same problem. My car is in for MOT now and hoping they won’t fail on the discs as i’ll have to replace with same quality plus they said £350 for discs and pads in a video I was sent during an inspection. Normally i’d change these myself but as I do not have VCDS etc it seems I can’t replace them with just spanners, sad times. What make of discs and pads are people using to replace the OEM parts? thanks

Headlight height alignment
How did you know how to much to adjust them by. Is there any measurements to do like when adjusted measure from the front of the car and end of light and it should be X metres apart?

Headlight height alignment
Rang ones locally but only doing MOTs and essential work at the moment, well it’s been like that for a while now :(

Headlight height alignment
Hello, i’ve had my superb for a while now but annoyed at how low the headlights are. I’ve got the xenons, and read that I can adjust using the adjusters on the headlight cluster. Question is how much by? Do I need to park my car like 10m in front of a wall to start with, turn lights to manual then adjust? But by how much. I don’t have VCDS but read on here it’s still fine to adjust. I’m thinking of marking the top of my headlight cluster as like a TDC then on the screw draw the line onto that, then turn it clockwise on both sides half a turn. That way if it’s too much I can turn the screw anti clockwise to where it was using the markers. What I don’t understand is it I turn it clockwise half a turn how will I know if that’s too much or too little? Bit of info I asked my local Skoda dealer 2 years ago to check as it’s low but they said it’s fine which it isn’t, well in my opinion. I was hoping they’d adjust it to the maximum legal amount when it was having the MOT and whilst it was still in warranty. Thanks
