  1. The fact you’ve said just recently makes me think your cars needs the software update to fix the headlights. Having said that, that recall or software fix only applies to xenons I believe. If your car has xenons does it do the headlight dance? Right at the end it should lift the lights up but the software issue doesn’t do that so the headlight shines near the floor
  2. Pictures paint a thousand words
  3. Hmmm! I'm not a pro at ETKA, but it looks like the part number is either 5E5955711B which is £169.39 (VAT included) as of today, or it could be 5E5955711C which is £90.83 (VAT included) as of today, you'd think C superseeded B but it hasn't on this occasion. Hopefully you need the latter, but I'd recommend ringing your local Skoda dealership (or any, price should be the same wherever) and ask to speak to the parts department then ask them directly, they'll ask for your reg plate then they can get the vin number and will know exactly which one fits yours. I suspect you have talked to them by phone but i usually ring reception and ask to go to the parts department, I then say can you give me the price and part number of the "rear motor wiper", then listen to them eat something on the phone as they seem to be fed whilst on the phone, they'll ask for your reg and should give you P/N and price. Hopefully that helps, I can see if I can find the Erwin document on how to remove it if you fancy?
  4. What year is your car? I’ll have a look
  5. I believe the nozzle goes through the motor on saloons so that’ll be why they are saying a new motor is required
  6. I’ve used pagid on my b5.5 Passat years ago and were fine. Does ECP not have any brembos? I know when I get my rear discs changed at some point i’ll be getting the brembos as they look decent especially with the painted hub area. Whilst all brakes should be good, I’d never scrimp on them, get the best and if you can’t quite afford it wait until you can
  7. Is it just me or does superskoda not do one for business grey?
  8. Worst bit is when she keeps scaring me saying “bear left”
  9. I wonder if your car is trying to do a force dpf regen? The fact you mention the battery needs charging i’m guessing you’ve not used it a great deal. If I were you i’d wait until it next does it when you turn the engine off then start it again and go on the motorway in 3 or 4th/4th or 5th for about 15 minutes at least. I can’t remember what gear the manual says to go in to increase the revs to above 2k, I’ve got a dsg so it down gears a few automatically. If it’s not that, apart from something electrical causing the issue it could be your engine oil needs replacing
  10. My old Passat alarm kept going off at 2am years ago, turns out it was because of the water ingress problem and cables had corroded. I used VCDS to let me know what triggered the alarm though, so if you have that, it’ll be worth using it to find the source then work from there
  11. I take it you only have 1 then? The crusty looking one at the bottom doesn’t seem to move but the top one certainly does. still not sure why I have two, guess they messed up in the build or something
  12. Does anyone know where there’s a removable cup holder rubber only to reveal another cup holder rubber underneath? Just noticed on mine that it removes, to reveal even more skank (I thought my top one was dirty enough) which I’m guessing is from a previous owner years ago
  13. What’s the difference between the two? They look the same to me just a different name
  14. If the car is only going to be used for trips to school then i’d suggest just getting a cheap run around. I do very little miles in my diesel but when I do drive it’s mostly on long runs. I’ve had the regen happen several times in my ownership but never the light on the dash as most times if I notice it’s doing a regen i’ll then do a pointless trip on the motorway until I notice it goes into 6th gear again (thanks EU) To specifically answer your question i’ve done around 2-3k a year in my car in the last 4 years and no problem at all
  15. If it was me, i’d get this and start spraying then work up from the boot puddle to find the source https://www.amazon.co.uk/Torch-Detection-Fluid-Water-Ingress/dp/B00TUASBUC
  16. If you live in any other European country it’s changed every 210k km or something close to that (could be 120km) and doesn’t matter on age. If anyone can crack why that is other than rip off Britain I’d love to know
  17. Why do people host here when you can just download from the Skoda site? Seen other people do it as well and I can’t for the life of me think why. having said that I just looked and it’s version 189 for my car and not 192
  18. Does changing it effect anything else like digital speed then displaying kilometres instead of miles?
  19. Had 2000 miles showing for adblue range so bought Greenchem 10litre and it took it al. The display said 2gallon max (why in gallon in UK i’m not too sure as everything is litres these days) 2 gallon works out as 9litre but it didn’t come out from excess juice at all so no problemo. Now says 8000 miles, so in about 8 years time i’ll refill 🤣
  20. Yep, i’m starting to think my dog believes I do it on purpose as he jumps up and looks at it then looks at me as if to say “you knobba”
  21. I asked about this not too long ago 3rd reply, 2nd & 3rd picture should help you
  22. Why are you replacing yours? Mine clears okay but makes a horrible noise when returning, just wondering if it’s for the same reasons
  23. Hello, I’ve not actually done this yet as I’ve only just come across this. I read through some pages but not sure if this works on Columbus mib2? If it does I have two further questions. As you’re kindly updating this, when you release a new download, do I just follow the same installation options to upload the new POIs? Or do I need to delete the old ones first then upload new ones? Can you be warned of speed cameras audibly even if you don’t have a route set and map is not displaying? Like for instance go near a camera and it warns but i’ve got media selected and listening to music? thanks
  24. My old B5.5 Passat had a window regulator carrier which was a big sheet of metal and regulators attached to that right PITA. Audi of the same age had 4 bolts and glass comes with it too, much simpler
