  1. I've just looked and not on mine. I believe when you open the bonnet on the right hand side there's is a pipe wrapped but just below that should be where the wiring harness is, but on mine it's just a long flappy rubber nipple thing.
  2. Where did you buy the Skoda connect subscription? If it’s your local dealership I’d go back there and ask for a refund. Failing that I’d go to Twitter as that’s negative publicity for them which they’ll sort it out I bet. Annoying you’ll have to do that but it’s the way everything has been for years now, a bit like when people complain to a company and nothing gets done, the people then go to watchdog then magically things get done
  3. Is there a way to tell if you have heated jets without taking one of them off?
  4. It is strange but on mine I literally have an empty space where it could easily go 😂
  5. Also, if you go onto the likes of eurocarparts when you click Fitment detail it'll say 1KU etc. Whats weird though, is my front brakes are not listed on my data sticker, but as I have the 190ps tdi it'll be 1ZA, but I agree it's far too confusing for something which should be simple
  6. Ah, sorry I did read you meant brake pads and I listed the disc sizes. Have a look here https://www.bremboparts.com/europe/en/catalogue/skoda-superb-iii-estate-3v5-2-0-tdi/000115168-1 You can see the brake system pn on the right. When I do my brakes it'll be going with Brembo, purely because their discs are coated by the hub, so no more rust. Are your rear brakes in a manky condition? I was advised to change because of scorning etc but what I done was drive around in Eco for ages as you don't get the engine breaking so you brake more which cleans it up, obviously this wears everything down a tad but if your pads are thinning then driving in eco isn't going to help at all
  7. Have a look at your data sticker in the boot, do you see 1KU, 2EM, or 1KZ? I believe if you have like the 280ps Superb then you'll have 1KZ which is 310mm vented, if it's 1KU then it'll be 300mm solid disc
  8. Personally I’d ring Skoda to get a price then make the other car owner pay for it. Make a quick document to say something like on this time&day bla hit my vehicle, bought a replacement light and consider the matter closed so no insurance. Both sign a copy and job done. You should not be out of pocket unless you were in the wrong when you parked
  9. Discs are naff (guessing the rears), mine look bad but function fine but will change to brembo’s coated one as it’s painted a nice looking anthracite colour. DSG oil and filter changes at 40k
  10. It’s in the infotainment settings somewhere, possible in car > lights it could even be automatic as well but don’t quote me on that
  11. This is what I done, still absolutely fine
  12. 35k a year, do you have any time to do work or just drive from A-Z all day? 😄. How did you listen to the music? If through Bluetooth make sure the option for Bluetooth loud is enabled, made such a massive difference for me in my car and no complaints with standard speakers. My style of music is various sub genres of metal though which is heavy and dirty sounding haha
  13. How many miles? It is considered wear and tear unfortunately but if it’s not done many miles they should take this into account and even the mileage from January when you first took it in. The problem is you can’t prove you’re not one of those people who go over speed bumps at the road limit and don’t hit pot holes. As long as your mileage is way below 60k which is the warranty limit then I would fight hard for getting them to replace it foc
  14. The fact you’ve said just recently makes me think your cars needs the software update to fix the headlights. Having said that, that recall or software fix only applies to xenons I believe. If your car has xenons does it do the headlight dance? Right at the end it should lift the lights up but the software issue doesn’t do that so the headlight shines near the floor
  15. Pictures paint a thousand words
  16. Hmmm! I'm not a pro at ETKA, but it looks like the part number is either 5E5955711B which is £169.39 (VAT included) as of today, or it could be 5E5955711C which is £90.83 (VAT included) as of today, you'd think C superseeded B but it hasn't on this occasion. Hopefully you need the latter, but I'd recommend ringing your local Skoda dealership (or any, price should be the same wherever) and ask to speak to the parts department then ask them directly, they'll ask for your reg plate then they can get the vin number and will know exactly which one fits yours. I suspect you have talked to them by phone but i usually ring reception and ask to go to the parts department, I then say can you give me the price and part number of the "rear motor wiper", then listen to them eat something on the phone as they seem to be fed whilst on the phone, they'll ask for your reg and should give you P/N and price. Hopefully that helps, I can see if I can find the Erwin document on how to remove it if you fancy?
  17. What year is your car? I’ll have a look
  18. I believe the nozzle goes through the motor on saloons so that’ll be why they are saying a new motor is required
  19. I’ve used pagid on my b5.5 Passat years ago and were fine. Does ECP not have any brembos? I know when I get my rear discs changed at some point i’ll be getting the brembos as they look decent especially with the painted hub area. Whilst all brakes should be good, I’d never scrimp on them, get the best and if you can’t quite afford it wait until you can
  20. Is it just me or does superskoda not do one for business grey?
  21. Worst bit is when she keeps scaring me saying “bear left”
  22. I wonder if your car is trying to do a force dpf regen? The fact you mention the battery needs charging i’m guessing you’ve not used it a great deal. If I were you i’d wait until it next does it when you turn the engine off then start it again and go on the motorway in 3 or 4th/4th or 5th for about 15 minutes at least. I can’t remember what gear the manual says to go in to increase the revs to above 2k, I’ve got a dsg so it down gears a few automatically. If it’s not that, apart from something electrical causing the issue it could be your engine oil needs replacing
  23. My old Passat alarm kept going off at 2am years ago, turns out it was because of the water ingress problem and cables had corroded. I used VCDS to let me know what triggered the alarm though, so if you have that, it’ll be worth using it to find the source then work from there
  24. I take it you only have 1 then? The crusty looking one at the bottom doesn’t seem to move but the top one certainly does. still not sure why I have two, guess they messed up in the build or something
  25. Does anyone know where there’s a removable cup holder rubber only to reveal another cup holder rubber underneath? Just noticed on mine that it removes, to reveal even more skank (I thought my top one was dirty enough) which I’m guessing is from a previous owner years ago
