  1. What’s the difference between the two? They look the same to me just a different name
  2. If the car is only going to be used for trips to school then i’d suggest just getting a cheap run around. I do very little miles in my diesel but when I do drive it’s mostly on long runs. I’ve had the regen happen several times in my ownership but never the light on the dash as most times if I notice it’s doing a regen i’ll then do a pointless trip on the motorway until I notice it goes into 6th gear again (thanks EU) To specifically answer your question i’ve done around 2-3k a year in my car in the last 4 years and no problem at all
  3. If it was me, i’d get this and start spraying then work up from the boot puddle to find the source https://www.amazon.co.uk/Torch-Detection-Fluid-Water-Ingress/dp/B00TUASBUC
  4. If you live in any other European country it’s changed every 210k km or something close to that (could be 120km) and doesn’t matter on age. If anyone can crack why that is other than rip off Britain I’d love to know
  5. Why do people host here when you can just download from the Skoda site? Seen other people do it as well and I can’t for the life of me think why. having said that I just looked and it’s version 189 for my car and not 192
  6. Does changing it effect anything else like digital speed then displaying kilometres instead of miles?
  7. Had 2000 miles showing for adblue range so bought Greenchem 10litre and it took it al. The display said 2gallon max (why in gallon in UK i’m not too sure as everything is litres these days) 2 gallon works out as 9litre but it didn’t come out from excess juice at all so no problemo. Now says 8000 miles, so in about 8 years time i’ll refill 🤣
  8. Yep, i’m starting to think my dog believes I do it on purpose as he jumps up and looks at it then looks at me as if to say “you knobba”
  9. I asked about this not too long ago 3rd reply, 2nd & 3rd picture should help you
  10. Why are you replacing yours? Mine clears okay but makes a horrible noise when returning, just wondering if it’s for the same reasons
  11. Hello, I’ve not actually done this yet as I’ve only just come across this. I read through some pages but not sure if this works on Columbus mib2? If it does I have two further questions. As you’re kindly updating this, when you release a new download, do I just follow the same installation options to upload the new POIs? Or do I need to delete the old ones first then upload new ones? Can you be warned of speed cameras audibly even if you don’t have a route set and map is not displaying? Like for instance go near a camera and it warns but i’ve got media selected and listening to music? thanks
  12. My old B5.5 Passat had a window regulator carrier which was a big sheet of metal and regulators attached to that right PITA. Audi of the same age had 4 bolts and glass comes with it too, much simpler
  13. How on earth does the window regulator come out? Hopefully won’t need for at least another 10 years or so but still
  14. Thoughts on Osram d3s night breaker laser, are they the best in terms of range and brightness?
  15. I’ve ordered things from VW in the past, not been what I thought and they don’t care at all. So don’t worry about ringing your local Skoda dealer, asking for the parts department and it end up being the wrong one (highly unlikely). Let me know the price, should be £30.17 mostly for my own amusement
  16. Have a look at https://www.hatchbag.co.uk/boot-liners/skoda/superb Not exactly cheap though, I don’t have one but looks good I’ve just got a cheap one from Argos, which covers the rear and back of rear seats but don’t think you can fold the seats down as it’s all Velcro stuff
  17. Just had a look and that part does not appear to be removable. Is your part number 3v9 803 847? Might say 9b9 somewhere too. Thats listed as satin black though so not sure if the chrome part is removable or just listed wrong. £30.17 for a new one anyway, if you’ve got a different part number post it and i’ll have a look
  18. Is your battery not starting the car? If it does start much easier to go on a motorway for 30 minutes or so. I’ve rarely used my car (6k miles roughly 6k in 4 years) but make sure I go on the motorway now and again and it’s been fine
  19. You don’t need to remove it to charge it, but saying that I guess you have on street parking which is going to be a faff
  20. If you just need to charge then use the ground for negative and positive on battery positive https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vKF656c4oNw&feature=youtu.be
  21. Done 3 coats of clear coat which came out good I think, I would say for a perfect finish (you can see where the white stuff penetrated in places as it’s like a leopard print) you’d respray a colour then clear coat but would cost as much if not more for brand new ones 😂
  22. Hmm they look like they belong in a cheap car, show me the leather!!
  23. Bought the clear coat but not applied yet, here’s some before and after photos of some good cleaning. So if yours look grim it’s not game over for them
