  1. Been offered a mint IBM Aptiva in a swap for some more modern parts I don't need. Watch this space.
  2. @Titanium_Man - Haven't heard much from you in a bit. Hope all is well in your wee part of the world.
  3. Sorry, but it's not for sale. Good luck finding one though.
  4. Don't, you'll trigger Sep's 'Snake-Oil Senses' Jokes aside, I'm not much of a believer in Redex either, never found it to be of benefit for any of the fleet.
  5. Would just like to recommend Pete for window motor repair needs. Got me back my electric windows and gives top-class service. A true asset to this forum.
  6. Yes yes, I know. I'd have had to have been in that garden for the front end, mind you. Post has been edited.
  7. I'm having to resist making the typical SDI jokes here. Does sound like it's overfuelling... a lot. Maybe get a code reader on it and see if anything is lurking before we play that 'lovely' game of parts darts.
  8. Aye, it's quite okay all things considered! Corrosion is most likely as a result from age and the little "tap" to the rear. Here's the car from another angle as well.
  9. I'm still thinking the motor really, and it's not really a painful job. @Breezy_Pete is the man you should speak to about all that stuff. Got me out of a right pickle with my dead electric windows.
  10. This absolute dinger of a Golf.
  11. This is good for me, in a way, if I fancy hoovering up some ULEZ exiled cars... a Favorit I know of may be coming up...
  12. Tell me everything about this classic shell mod...
  13. I had a Presario 2600 a wee bit back, big chunky thing. Three fans were there to cool what was a S478 Celeron 2400MHz CPU and an ATI 8000 series chip. Still was roasting itself to near death. I've got the N610c mainly for VCDS and the likes, and because why not?
  14. I don't know if I will, but I'll let you know if I do!
  15. That's what I like. However I'm going back towards DOS, 95/98, and at the most modern XP for most of my ramblings. I've currently got a nice Compaq Evo N610 laptop sitting in front of me... roasting my legs.
  16. I'd been pondering making something like this for a wee while to collate all my technological nonsense into one area for once. I'll probably make a few posts now and again with me messing about with computers that are definitely obsolete in the eyes of consumer culture. Stay tuned... or don't, whatever takes yer fancy.
  17. This came up on AutoTrader. I'm quite fond of Almeras, and this one is just the best I've ever seen. My Mum isn't convinced... yet. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202211011264663
  18. I'd do that, but the driver's one is rather comfy and I'm a bit selfish. Plus, the passenger seat doesn't see quite as much use. I'll look into getting the foam repaired. Will have to see what options over here. Thanks.
  19. Cheers DM. They're class, a lot better than the bar stools I had. I may need to be wary with the passenger seat as you can feel the metal bar in it (by hand at least) at the side and don't want it to wear any worse, or through the cloth even. Obviously the foam base is made of rocking horse **** these days, so what alternatives do I have? Cheers Lee! The other Ryan fitted them, I just spent the time talking to his Dad about his two Fabias. Didn't seem like bother, so hoping that was the case.
  20. The lad, Ryan, that I got the seats from has a Bohemia that's been kitted out above and beyond an Elegance. He's on the owners club on Facebook as well.
