  1. Aye, think it was the later ones when they all became 1.2s. The Bohemia has the same sort of tinted glass from the B-Pillar back, I think. If I could be arsed having that done in the future I would, since it doesn't really affect my insurance, or didn't when I tried quotes.
  2. Cheers Matt. It didn't really occur to me until yesterday that I've been subconsciously building a Fabia Sport rep, just with better spec than the actual Sport. There's stuff I'd like to add, but getting it seems to be the biggest issue.
  3. So today was rather good. Drove down to Kirkcudbright to drop off some steel wheels and swap my seats for some Bohemia ones. Met a fellow Fabia enthusiast in the process. Fabia earned its keep as my wee load lugger plus the trailer, drove sweet as a nut. Here's some photos of the seats, I'll grab better pictures in the morning, or whenever I remember. All in all, a good trip besides the trailer having causing a bit of a wobble on the way home. It stopped after I pulled in for a bit, not sure what caused that. Will investigate in time. I even managed 40mpg or so as well, so I'll call that an added bonus. I still haven't got around to fitting the new window motor as I haven't been bothered at the moment, I'll get around to it... eventually. Quite pleased with the way things have gone recently, just the electric windows to get sorted and this wee car will be on top form, or something to that degree.
  4. Quite like those lights, actually. They do seem quite fitting, as you say.
  5. Gave you a follow. Love how this is coming together.
  6. Procured a glovebox from a Fabia at a breakers yard in Ayr, got some more bits to go back for at some point. It's filthy as the car had been lying sans windows for a good couple of years at least. The good thing is that it's free from scratches thankfully, it's helping go towards fixing the damaged trim panels in the car. I'll post better photos once I've given it a run in the bath as it's quite poor inside and out... and a spider crawled up my arm when I opened it. Moving on, I've got no electric windows anymore, they've died. However, @Breezy_Pete being the absolute gem he is, has sent up a replacement motor module for the window. I need to wait for a dry day before fitting that, though. I've tried bringing the switch unit in and drying it out with a radiator but no such luck so far.
  7. Agreed with this. Worry about the more pressing matters, if any (I haven't read the rest of this thread, just the past few posts).
  8. Have you considered letting the person in the boot out?
  9. Following with great interest. Love the car and the humour.
  10. Ah I've maybe worded that rather strangely... allow me to edit.
  11. One megapixel is plenty. Still getting to grips with my newest acquisition, a 1998 Kodak DC210 Zoom camera. It's quite nice to use. My test subject was this, the duck in my Gran's conservatory that the dog is scared of.
  12. Neither does the driver! Admittedly mine wasn't Rufford Ford, it was Barskimming Road outside Mauchline and there was a burst pipe, was about 8pm at night and dark. Didn't see the water until I was well and truly in it. The Fabia made it out... I'm not entirely sure how to be honest.
  13. Nice aggressive look going on there. I like it.
  14. Try here to make a QR code. Beyond this, I can't assist with finding someone who can make such a thing into some sort of sticker/decorative thing.
  15. That's what you call international service!
  16. Thank you! Need to pick up some stuff that I've procured for the car... so more to follow...
  17. Oh definitely, if they weren't as expensive I'd have one!
  18. Following, I love an SE.
  19. Welcome to the site! Good choice, I will say. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
  20. As an aside, I'd say it's wise to budget for general wear and tear items, and even some other things, too. As someone who is presently running a 15 (turning 16) year old car, it's wise to have money available for when something breaks big time rather than scrabbling around at the last moment.
  21. 69k now (bordering on now longer being low mileage!), taken by a very shaky co-pilot because apparently Colin McRae-ing it on the road to Peebles isn't appropriate...
  22. If my Dad were here, his words would be "stick a ****ing Weber on it" but that perhaps goes against the original nature of this wee car.
