  1. Try adjusting the fade controls in the settings of the unit.
  2. Does the car have rear speakers? Is the unit capable of outputting sound to the rear speakers if they are present?
  3. Thought it would be easier to speak it all out in a video instead of trying to do a write up.
  4. I don't think it'll affect me much anyway as I'm only ever through Glasgow in passing usually on the M74 or M77. Usually if we're going to anywhere central it'll be in the Duster.
  5. Well I'm stuck then. Plus three grand would be a tidy profit for a Mk1 Fabia, but I wouldn't see such a figure.
  6. I think I'm alright in the LEZ in Glasgow at the moment, being an EU4 petrol. Either way, I tend to avoid city centres as I don't cope well with that sort of driving. Ayr or Kilmarnock at rush hour is plenty for me.
  7. Saw this on your Instagram. Good work!
  8. Unless someone comes in before me to explain it, then I'll go out and grab some photos and make a wee write up later on for you.
  9. There's a wee vent at the front of the climate system. Pull the front panel off and clean it.
  10. I believe it was you that posted it on another thread I had seen. It seems to have worked but I've not been back out with the car yet.
  11. Good news... or at least I hope it is. Preliminary tests after doing some heavy braking from 60 to 0 on some quiet roads would suggest the brakes still stop fine. Secondly, I tried pushing the pedal as far as it'll go a few times then yanking the handbrake a couple of times. Seems to have improved overall braking feel and the handbrake holds better as far as I can tell. Think I've had a sticking caliper too as one side was a bit warmer than the other at the front and covered in brake dust compared to the other side which was a bit cleaner. Indicated MPG has went up too. Make of that what yous will.
  12. Aye it's hard high up in that case. I'll check that tomorrow and then probably leave the bleeding to a garage as I cannot be arsed, frankly.
  13. I don't completely understand this. If what you mean is that it's soft for the beginning but gets harder after the excess travel? Erm possibly, if there's an air leak somewhere then perhaps. Otherwise could have been a result of when the rear cylinders were done by the garage. The brakes were very effective after that though.
  14. It'll go hard after a couple of presses when the engine is off since there's no servo assistance. Goes back to the way I've described when driving about. No reaction from the brakes when pedal is pressed a little, then after a little travel they begin to do what they're meant to. If that helps. Still got a reasonable amount of braking performance when I stamp on the pedal, as I tested today on a quiet stretch of roads.
  15. As the title says. Would seem like there's air in the system but would like to know what I can do to check and so forth. The brake pedal is soft, and requires what I feel is an excessive amount of travel compared with what it used to be like. Thanks.
  16. They'll be in the same place as my socket set and that one Altered Images cassette I can't find.
  17. You could be onto something there. I've had one of the bearings done (front left) a wee while back, but it could be any other really. I'll try that. Cheers Ken. I'll check about and see what things are like under there and I'll report back.
  18. Can confirm. Got a whole poke of these still from when I had my front doors off. Had a whole saga with the dealers trying to procure them, but we'll ignore that.
  19. They look to be fairly new from what I seen underneath and when I had the wheels off. It's as nice tomorrow as it is today then I'll get the wheels off tomorrow and have a prod about things on the suspension side of the car and see if anything is... ****ed.
  20. Been out a "wee" drive today... Bad news is the following though: Wheel wobble is still terrifying beyond an indicated 65mph (about 62mph). Thinking tracking or balancing still. The above may be linked to the bloody annoying clunk I'm getting over bumps, still. Brakes are very soft and require a lot of pedal travel to do very little... again. The discs on the front are looking a bit carp and the rear drums... well, the less said, the better. Handbrake is also horrid too. Thankfully, the fuelling issue seems to have cleared up a little bit... my MPG seems to be touching 45-46 now, even if it is being indicated pessimistically on the computer. Cupar and back was great fun though!
  21. Sounds like bad solder joints on the cluster to me. Or a bad connection somewhere. Maybe one for @Pete_Ex-Wino to diagnose?
  22. Take it to @Tech1e. He does cruise control fits for Fabias.
  23. My thoughts exactly. A lot of these types of issues can stem from the timing slipping.
