  1. I'll need to give the video a watch but the lads said it best, we'll all pop over.
  2. I can understand why. I find the blue light glares across the lenses of my glasses (I didn't spring for anti-glare when I got them) so it's a wee bit irritating. I'm due an eye test sometime in the month (or the next) so will probably need new glasses then.
  3. So, this arrived yesterday... Probably going to fire a couple of head units from the stash up for sale. 20220121_094227.mp4
  4. Also be cautious with the pushfit at the pump/bottom of bottle behind the passenger front arch liner as mine popped off and ruined a bit of the mounting so it is epoxied in place.
  5. Now a trek into Ayr since they closed the local branch for me. Mobile van banking doesn't work well either.
  6. Agreed with this. I don't have the time or space to carry about my Canon EOS 400D all the time so it's handy to have my phone - which is how most of my shots were taken.
  7. I meant glare and will edit my post accordingly rather, didn't notice the mistake the first time round - this mobile phone malarkey is a pain. I find that the little blue telltale on the dash is a lot brighter than the rest of the lighting.
  8. Agreed on the headache inducing thing. I used to be able to drop the facia of the alpine (one of those drop down ones to insert a CD) and it would stop the painful lighting. I've driven a Toyota Auris with the orange lighting and it was quite nice. The green is nice too, just wish I could do something about the glare from the high beam on my Fabia.
  9. HOW MUCH?! Choked on my coffee reading that.
  10. Hello and welcome to Briskoda! Good call on both models. I reckon if you fire a post in the respective sections for each model then you'll be able to get a hand with fault diagnosis and the likes. Enjoy the site!
  11. Hello and welcome to the forums, Ben! I've got a 2006 Fabia so we may have some similarities there!
  12. I had the same issue. I replaced my units for genuine OEM-spec replacements from some EuroCarParts subsidiary of some sort.
  13. The last one there has me in tears laughing! The rubber chicken was a serious consideration though...
  14. Thank you all. Job is getting done on Saturday since I'll have the time then.
  15. David Attenborough: And here we have a pair of free-range Fabias, making friends in the wild.
  16. My Fabia did this when the throttle pedal position sensor was dying, refusing to start sometimes unless the pedal was flat to the floor almost. A good second hand replacement can be had for £20 and if you don't mind taking a piece of lower dash off (online guide I will link later) then you can do the job yourself.
  17. I thought as much, but it always helps to make sure.
  18. I'd say cam position sensor as well, just based on the Audi A4 local to me that had the same issue.
  19. Thanks! So I take it that it would make the most sense to remove the rear bumper then? That seems like the logical option to me at this moment.
  20. Aftermarket sensors. Hawk Alarm branded. There's a rubber grommet that I can see from a "snippet" from a HatBoyHarvey video, would the be such a location where the cabling would run through? Thank you for the tid-bit about the cover.
  21. Thank you. The sensors come with a thing for putting the holes in the plastic trim on the bumper in order to fit them, so that bit is covered.
  22. Okay, so I'm planning to be fitting parking sensors to the car, hence the thread title. Anyway, my questions are therefore: Will the bumper need to be removed? Will the metal bar behind the bumper hinder/prevent fitting? No stupid or smart Alec "turn your head round and use your eyes" responses please, just getting that out of the way. I'd like to gather as much information as necessary and possible before even picking up any tools and cracking on with this job. Many thanks in advance. Ryan.
  23. Most folk don't get views like this on the school run, do they?
