  1. And another successful installation. Tested OBDeleven gen 2 and working without issues.
  2. Thanks a lot for sharing the file, appreciated. 😃
  3. Little update from my side on the subject: After several OTA system updates travel assist started to work in a very weird manner (Again!), not working properly with the dedicated steering wheel button but yes if it was activated via ADAS menu, but having hands-off errors from time to time … so I reverted the BAP/LDW_HCA_Ox19_msg_bus from can_fas to databus extended and installed a KLR hands-off emulator and ... oh boy ! now it works like a charm ! I've done so far 100 km on highway and the permanent hands off works perfectly.
  4. I have already done a change with top tec 6200 and no regret. It's my first choice if there is stock available.
  5. Well, I was not putting the inflation factor on the table. CPI inflation rate from November 2020 to June 2024 is 21.3%. Our price tag for the car was 47 k€ in 2020 euro value; 57 k€ in 2024 euro value. With more or less same extras today is quoted in 53 k€ 2024 euro value, 4k€ cheaper.
  6. Yes, it's available in French configurator as well. Did a fast configuration to compare it with ours and it's around 15% more expensive.
  7. Thanks for the feedback guys. After checking a bit and considering that I am on stage one for both ECU and DSG, I will use Motul DCTF High Torque. Cheers.
  8. To be honest, I did not do a deep search ... I saw a couple of post on other forums, different DCT transmissions though, and the return is, well, as expected, top notch product. I've been using their products for quite a long time and the outcome is always the same, above the expectation. But that's the fact, you have motul, fuchs, liqui molly, castrol on the same price range ... and them, OEM quite far from the average.
  9. Hi guys, Reaching 4 years with the car and I am starting to plan the first DSG services and 2 questions are popping up: As per maintenance manual seems that it’s not needed the replacement of the DSG oil filter. If somebody already serviced it, and if it was serviced with Skoda dealer, could you please confirm if it’s really not included in the scope of work? I assume it’s not. Do you think it’s justified the extra cost of the OEM VW DSG dual clutch oil compared with other oils? I have in mind the use of Liquy Molly 8100 dual clutch oil, of course matching OEM requirements, and it’s 3 times cheaper than OEM dual clutch oil. Cheers !
  10. yes it was, with a heat gun you can remove it without problem. It was more tedious the cleaning with alcohol though.
  11. Yes, grey stitching instead red, wife's requirement.
  12. Sure! Front: And rear: Besides the material and design, the front one is longer, +/- 10 cm longer, so it covers more surface.
  13. Yes yes, another one touched by this. In my case, instead going again with OEM part, I bought 5E3071310A. Even with the proper coating of the OEM part, PU surface is way more durable, and you get a full set, front and back. Regarding the original part, and besides the lack of coating, I am not sure if the painting was done properly, because when I was removing them, after applying a bit of heat gun, incredible, paint peeling by itself.
  14. Yes, tried as well but not solved the problem. It's true that part of the water evaporated itself during summer but not all, and the rest came and go in cycles as @jaspertvrs says, specially when cold. I do not know if that was the trigger or not, but when I dismounted the lamp one of its outer corners, the upper one if I remember well, was not properly sitting on its frame, slightly out of were it was intended to be.
  15. If you are covered by the warranty then don't be worried, it's up to Skoda to fix.
  16. Hi guys, Yes, suffered it out of warranty and, after trying to fix it, I bought a new one. You can remove it without removing the bumper, but you have to lift the car, remove wheel and wheel housing liner. In addition, to free the wheel housing liner properly, you will have to unscrew partially the engine underbody trim. I tried to dismount the fog light first applying heat with a heat gun on the perimeter and second applying pressure on latches to release the external cover but it was so sealed and the latches were so weak that I broke 3 of 4. If I was struggling just to open it, imagine to close it and seal it again. So game over, new one.
  17. Hi, not an exact science. As per Skoda UK, service interval for spark plugs is 4 years or 40k miles. But at the end is always about your risk appetite, but I would say yes, it's time to change them.
  18. I remember having communication issues with CU03 when I changed brake pads as well, but I would say that the root cause of the issue is not the same, no popping noise from fuse box in my case. After several tries, the combination that was satisfactory to communicate any time with control unit was: - Bonnet opened and battery charger connected. - Driver door opened. - Infotainment turned on. Good luck!
  19. With the race one you do not have catalytic converter, with that one you will not pass CO test. With the sport one you have a 200 cpsi catalytic converter, with that one you would be able to pass CO test, but not sure if in your country will allow you to run with it installed. In Spain, for example, you are allowed if you tech specs sheet is updated accordingly and you are within CO thresholds. For both cases ECU tune is mandatory.
  20. Yes, thanks @TheUltraRunner. That one makes more sense and the cost is coherent, definitely I am putting it in the to do list. Approaching the 4 years check, so I am going to put priority on spark plugs and DSG oil change.
  21. Thanks for the info @TheUltraRunner Well, way more expensive, but besides the price for me here the point is that I do not need the lane assist memory part, I have already coded lane assist memory and that utility is quoted on "just" 159,00 €.
  22. Up with this post. Somebody did a try on the second option from @Dimex? As far as I can see, sold articles are going up and with positive feedback.
  23. Hum, without wiring diagrams from both sides it's impossible to know. If you want to do it yourself be prepared for cutting and soldering, because I would say it's not 100% plug and play.
  24. Thanks @mangio85 for the feedback, I will do it a try. Be aware that Lane Change Assist is a complete different history.
  25. Hi @mangio85 Yes yes, mine is working exactly the same now. Weird thing is that I am not able find root cause, sometimes it works sometimes it does not work. Besides the recurrent error B17B8F2 on gateway, I see nothing else that could trigger the malfunction. But that error was there since de beginning, before was working fine but not now ... not sure if the successions of OTA installed is one of the causes. Nowadays I do not have time to investigate, my first action and the easiest was changing hc_variant ... but you did it already with no success. I think that there is no other option than doing the A5 firmware update as per 48S5.
