TSI Stage 1 remap and DSG torque
Ive been running APR 1.5 for years on the standard DSG map with no issues. There is nothing to worry about stage 1 and DSG as long as the gearbox is in good shape with all the oil changes completed on time. The DSG box handles the power better than the manual box where everyone replaces their clutch within 12 months of the remap.

Larger tyres on Octavia MK3?
use a tyre calculator like this https://tiresize.com/tyre-size-calculator/ and try to find a size that is as close to your current size as possible. I don't think there will be any issues with ABS/ESC as long as all 4 tyres are the same size.

Upgrading brakes with same disc size?
What you are looking for does not exist - you simply can't find brakes that are 'grippy, silent, with reduced dust'. You can't change the laws of physics - better braking performance comes at the cost of more noise and dust, just how much is down to what you want. For road use, the most performance will come from a good quality plain disc - slots and holes will only be cosmetic unless you are driving really hard on a track. All the performance will come from your pad choice, not the disc. I have ceramic pads which are a lot more expensive, quiet and dust free but would not be very good on the track. Save your money on the discs and get the best pads you can afford. As also mentioned, make sure the rest of the braking system is tip top, ie top quality fresh fluid, hoses in good condition etc.

Slow coolant leak
Looking for some help on tracking down my slow leak. 2015 VRS petrol with DSG, had the waterpump changed about a year ago so that was the first place I looked when I noticed the coolant going down - nothing. I have been under the car, cant see any coolant or any dry deposits etc. I swear I can sometimes smell coolant like it is burning off somewhere but that could be in my head. Recent oil change was fine, no mayonnaise etc. The leak is only small, only a few mm on the coolant bottle every 2-3k kms but as it is a sealed system it has to be going somewhere? Any ideas on where to look guys? Thanks in advance.

Grooves on Slotted rotors are being grinded away
70,000 miles! as Ken states above, they are just worn out. Still a little strange that they have not wore evenly though.

Rear brake caliper!
Would it really be that bad painting them? they will be off the car so easy to paint, get some red calliper paint and it would be a good match - I doubt anyone would know. I have used those calliper paint kits and the finish has lasted years.

Grooves on Slotted rotors are being grinded away
I would say its a quality issue, the grooves are not uniformly deep so they are wearing at different rates.

Skoda Octavia III tyres
although all relevant, i think the main point here is that I don't think that tyre will physically fit under the arches, especially the fronts on full lock.

Skoda Octavia III tyres
You don't say which Octavia you have but I don't think it matters. What matters is that these are critical safety items, you really need to be putting the correct size on for the wheels and space available (or at least very close). Plus, any difference in size will also effect your speedo. The standard size for the 18" wheel is 225/40/18 so the original tyres were off to start with, but what you have purchased is way off and I don't think they will even fit without rubbing. I would be cancelling my order sharpish and order the correct size. Look at the image below and you can see how much bigger the tyre is that you have just purchased, and your speedo will over-read a lot. Why did you purchase such a large tyre? if you are after more grip then really the only way to get that is to buy a better, high performance tyre like PS4's or Goodyear F1's

Octavia VRS remap and sports exhaust
so many posts on this topic on this forum, even to the point of people sharing the sound of their new exhausts. Also, as the engine is shared with other marques, you can search the VW Golf and Audi forums - the engine is EA888 gen 3. Forums are a great source of knowledge and experience and all have a handy search function 😜

EVs? No thanks not when.
im sure similar arguments were had back in the day when the first motorcar came along. They were expensive, where would you find fuel, easy to get stranded, you even had to build roads (sound familiar?). Battery storage technology will continue to develop and who knows where it will all end up, but with many countries banning the ICE it looks like EV's are here to stay.

VRS 2015 Losing Coolant
They colour the coolant as they have different specs and cant be mixed. It is supposed to make it easier for people that no nothing about cars to pick the right coolant.

How to know if factory trailer prep is fitted
There is a paper sticker under the boot liner and should also be in the owners handbook that lists all the equipment codes for that car. One of those codes is for the electrics/harness needed for a tow bar if fitted. Im sure someone will come along with exact code shortly.
