  1. Upgraded my OBD module and had a play with some basic coding using CarScanner App. Successfully applied: Increased cut tower indicator flash to 5 Increased headlight washer interval to 20 Turned on eyelashes with DRL (but didn’t work as I have the A part number lights) So turned this off again to avoid errors According to the coding I also turned on teardrop wipe for front and rear but haven’t seen any behaviour change on the drive. Does anyone know if this works on MY2016 superb and what the criteria for it to occur is?
  2. That’s a nice quick turnaround.
  3. Ordered the meguairs stuff as the reviews were pretty good. Should come tomorrow.
  4. Something I’ve wondered with this. Do they loan you four spare wheels while they refurb them or do you leave the car with them during the work?
  5. Looks good. A nice neat solution. Really pleased with mine. Although I’m now thinking about adding a MagSafe wireless charger to the front slot. And wiring in using 12v to 5v usbc adaptor hard wired in. Can get all the bits for about £15. Just deciding if it’s worth it.
  6. Ooooo stripes in the mats. Fancy.
  7. Theirs is a setting for not muting the navigation during a phone call but I’m not sure there is the other way round. Perhaps in the settings of Google maps when connected to CarPlay? I’m sure mine does mute and listening to podcasts it’s really annoying so I ended up muting the maps and have got used to it.
  8. The build Codes should be on a sticker on the boot floor next to the spare wheel well. In a 2023 car it should be nicely readable. I’m sure if you post a photo on here people can help you interpret them. If not You can get full build codes from Erwin. It costs €8 for 1 hour of access and you can also download all the maintenance manuals if you were wanting to do work on it yourself. You have to claim to be a garage to get the login but there are no checks done. Make sure you have your vin ready. Also I’m pretty sure any Skoda dealer should be able to produce you a print out of the build codes and shouldn’t charge you for it.
  9. I don’t think it’s the antenna as it’s no worse than before. When I undid the fakra on the back of the radio it pulled out a few mm and I could see the wire behind. I wonder if there’s something loose inside the radio
  10. No better driving around either. I generally use CarPlay and FM is good enough. Just annoys me if there’s something that doesn’t work, even if I don’t use it.
  11. This arrived today and installed without issue. Signal no better sitting on the drive. Nipping out later so will see if it improves when out and about.
  12. If the meguirs one works as it says that might just do it. Thanks I tried wd40 as I was cleaning off some superglue residue elsewhere and wondered if it was the same thing here.
  13. As I’m coming to the end of little tarting up jobs this one is now starting to annoy me. There’s a cloudy mark on the clear plastic covering the dials. Generally it’s just out of line of sight but I know it’s there and that’s enough to annoy me! I think is scratches in the surface and I guess someone had used something a bit abrasive on it at some point. I tried wiping over with wd40 and it disappears until the wd40 dries off, so it’s definitely on the surface. Any magic tricks to remove this type of thing or is it something I’ll have to put up with? Not worth changing the dash for.
  14. Rain held off for a bit so managed to check the front too. Clearance is tight around the calliper but clearance is clearance. Drives fine. Very happy with that. Also filled up the screenwash for what feels like the 1000th time in the four months I’ve owned it!
  15. Looks good. I found with mine i got a bit of whitening of the gloss black around the gaiter from the superglue fumes. I think I was a bit impatient putting it all back together! WD40 on a cotton bud cleans it off though so all good now.
  16. Test fit the spare on the rear today. Went on well and no issues. Went for a drive for a few miles and no tpms either. Was going to swap it to the front but it started to rain so that will have to wait for another day. At least I know for sure now if I do have an issue the spare can go on the rear.
  17. Only when they’re muddy! That’s a good tip. Got some off aliexpress for £3!
  18. Looks pretty straight forward. Lights off, 12 screws and 4 catches. Just another pair of hands needed to remve bumper
  19. It’s not going to make it any worse so long as you clean it up well and get a good seal. So might as well Give it a go. I haven’t looked at the manual but I don’t think removing the bumper will be a massive task.
  20. Put in a boot liner. Nothing fancy, but will contain the mud when picking up the kids from football! Just a cheap one from Amazon. https://amzn.eu/d/0ekCj4qT
  21. Fingers crossed it solves it!
  22. I have ordered this one. Will let you know how it goes get on.
  23. I have MIB 2 and download music to the internal HDD via the SD slot. Adding album, artist and track no allowed better searching of and playing of the tracks.
  24. yes thats what i was looking on. looks like it will be very minimal issue, and as others have said (and the manual says actually, now that I have RTFM) you should reset the TPMS after fitting the spare.
  25. Finally got a chance to get the car clean and take some photos. 2016 Moon White SE L Executive. 2.0TDi 190PS DSG - Now just tipped 125,000 miles.
