  1. The only other thing I noticed that I’ve just remembered was one of the wheel bolts was very tight. I had to hang on the end of a 2ft breaker to undo it. I wonder if one is much tighter than the others it pulls the disc out of alignment. Everything is such solid metal I can’t believe that it would. I’ll get them to check the runout on the discs when it gets serviced in case there’s something in it.
  2. Haha. Luckily for me there are as many parcels arriving from shein for her as there are from AliExpress for me!
  3. Installed white LED vanity mirror lights. Now all interior lights are white LED. Except the removable torch but that requires SMD soldering new LEDs onto the board which is beyond my capabilities. The lights are VERY bright and may well prove to be too bright. But they hardly ever get used. I just didn’t like how yellow they were on the odd occasion that they did get used! A few more bits waiting to be delivered then I’m done…..
  4. Since I’ve had my superb it’s had a bit of a brake wobble under hard braking, especially on ACC. Couldn’t feel it through the steering and assumed it was rear discs as ACC uses the rears preferentially. Was planning on getting them changed at the next service. And then with discovering that carscanner is able to put them in service mode, I was planning on changing them myself once payday comes around. Curiously I went out in it today and it’s entirely disappeared. There’s a bit of a mental afterimage where I think I can feel it but if I brake whilst consciously thinking about it, it’s definitely gone. Since the last time I drove it I’ve played about with a few bits of coding but the only one I changed related to brakes was the autohold and hill control sensitivity. The only other thing I’ve done is remove one of the rear wheels to try the spare then put it back on again. I would have thought if it was something to do with how the wheel was mounted the I would feel a wobble all the time, not just when braking. Any other thoughts as to how it’s mysteriously disappeared?
  5. This is what I use. Found it also tells you dsg oil temp in the sensor list so could do own dsg oil changes.
  6. Looks like it’s Audi only.
  7. Yes I know that. Just interesting that it’s a potential menu option so was trying it out.
  8. Played about some more and there was a strange misspelled setting for “whiper” park when ignition off that was active. Changed this to inactive and now the other things I set for wipers seem to work. Teardrop front and back and they continue to park position when ignition turned off. Happy with that. Does anyone know if it’s possible to Put wipers into service position from the MMI menu on mib2? It doesn’t seem to have worked so I’ll deactivate that just in case it causes any funny errors.
  9. Couldn’t find any mileage under SRS but there is some odometer recordings under and relating to tpms. These are within 1000 miles of the current dash mileage and I know I checked the tyres last week which would have been about the right mileage ago. So it seems abs is the same as dash. Happy there’s nothing nefarious going on. Just interesting the tcu is different to ecu.
  10. Engine matches dash. Lower number. Didn’t see abs and airbag mileage. Will have a look next time I’m in the car.
  11. MOT history looks fine. And just looked and engine miles matches dash miles. So might just be a quirk of the gearbox data maybe?!
  12. Looking through the carscanner app sensors this morning I noticed something interesting/possibly worrying The gearbox odometer is 29,441 miles higher than the car odometer. Has the car been clocked? Has the gearbox been replaced with an older refurb? Is it normal??!! Interested to hear some thoughts on this.
  13. Well that stuff is magic! Mark completely gone. Took a few coats to clear it completely but I reckon I used about 20mls of the 300ml Bottle to achieve it! Thanks @Lee01 for the tip!
  14. I’ve got carscanner app and this module https://amzn.eu/d/04FdvU9n Don’t think boot close can be coded on this. I would like to have that too. It would appear that there is options for long coding which might let you do it but I’ve not been brave enough to venture into that menu.
  15. Please about with coding a couple more bits after reading through the list of options last night. Today I’ve done: Changed autohold and hill hold to “early” and it’s transformed the car. No more jerks when coming off autohold at all. Blower level when on auto Refuel quantity on dash I also tried to code for wipers to park when ignition turned off. Code accepted but no change. So wipers seem stubborn to the settings. Also tried to add wiper service position to MMI menu but that hasn’t taken either.
  16. I don’t have that option. I just have report or share. I wonder if it’s a paid feature.
  17. Amazing thanks. I really need to stop coming on this forum. It keeps making me spend money…
  18. I meant courtesy indicator increased to 5. It’s quite annoying you can’t edit posts!
  19. I’d love to do this but footrest isn’t available for RHD unless you pay for OEM
  20. Upgraded my OBD module and had a play with some basic coding using CarScanner App. Successfully applied: Increased cut tower indicator flash to 5 Increased headlight washer interval to 20 Turned on eyelashes with DRL (but didn’t work as I have the A part number lights) So turned this off again to avoid errors According to the coding I also turned on teardrop wipe for front and rear but haven’t seen any behaviour change on the drive. Does anyone know if this works on MY2016 superb and what the criteria for it to occur is?
  21. That’s a nice quick turnaround.
  22. Ordered the meguairs stuff as the reviews were pretty good. Should come tomorrow.
  23. Something I’ve wondered with this. Do they loan you four spare wheels while they refurb them or do you leave the car with them during the work?
  24. Looks good. A nice neat solution. Really pleased with mine. Although I’m now thinking about adding a MagSafe wireless charger to the front slot. And wiring in using 12v to 5v usbc adaptor hard wired in. Can get all the bits for about £15. Just deciding if it’s worth it.
  25. Ooooo stripes in the mats. Fancy.
