Torn Rear Window Frame
It is one big piece containing the window runners also. im unsure if it contains the rear glass too. Youll need to get it from Skoda and there are different types and specs depending on your car so they can find it based on your vehicle details. regarding changing it, it’s a hard job as the glass needs removing fully and I am unsure what your level of skill or knowledge is but even so, it’s very fidddly and a pain to do

Odd door trim
The wheels are definitely not sided that I know of. and the trim was only all black on a sportline - else it should be all chrome so someone has messed up somewhere along the line.

Is this the right oil ??
Technically anything 504/507 is suitable for your engine. Being a diesel with a dpf the oil MUST have ‘low saps’ to prevent over production of ash in the dpf

Glow plug replacement
Ah yeah I forgot that part too. always get to know the local glow plug/injector removal guy and have his number on speed dial. good thing about the v6 tdi is the injectors like to remove themselves when the bolts snap off!

Glow plug replacement
They always easy! Until they're not. Ive personally never had one snap or strip but good practice is to soak in penetrant, get the engine nice and hot, let it cool down again. After this i tighten them ever so slightly till i feel them move a tiny bit Then slowly undo using nothing bigger than a 1/4' ratchet. Going back in they always get a clean of the bore, pencil wire brush to the bottom and a clean with brake cleaner then the plug itself gets a very very light coat of ceramic white grease and the glowplug gets torqued to spec. The main cause of snapping/stripping is either over tightened plugs or bores that arent clean allowing carbon/soot to work its way up and bind the glowplugs into the bores. Dont take any of this as gospel but from a time served mechanic with a good track record of snapping none so far, its my method that hasnt failed. (plusgas is my penetrant of choice )

CAN gateway coding from GW MQB low til GW MQB high
There is a lot more involved than just coding... You have about 5 different parts to the gateway setup Coding Adaptations Dataset Component protection SWAP Coding and adaptations may change from a low to a high module. Dataset is vehicle specific and must be done with a tool like ODIS or VCP Component protection can only be done with ODIS SWAP codes must only be done with ODIS. You are a long way off having a complete working car at the moment. Your best bet is to find out what the direct replacement for your car is from the etka catalog and then find someone with ODIS who can run SVM/Module replacement on the gateway - that way everything will be perfect and working. Else you will be struggling for a long time.

DSG Service mk3 VRs estate
6 litres of oil is required. Do you have a suitable pump or gravity fill system?
-
Cambelt change
Dealers are charging upwards of £700-1000 now for a tdi timing belt. I offer them for just under £500 at the moment if it’s any good to you and you’re near north London. Had a few customers get quotes from independents ranging from £400-800

Rear washer
Feel free to drop me a message on my Facebook page and I’ll guide you through any checks to hopefully save you some money first thing is - do you hear the pump running when you press the stalk? and is it an estate or hatchback?

Mk3 superb estate. Wheel kit.
Ive got a question im not too sure about... is the 280 brakes too big for any of the spare wheels? I would assume yes to the 16" option?

Door lights!
on the new skodas the 2 parts are not together and instead the warning light/puddle is one piece and the projector is a seperate part. Your doorcards im assuming have the blank reflector on the door with no light. Youll have to cut a hole to fit the genuine projector lamp

Door lights!
When you say door lights can you clarify which ones you mean? Puddle, warning, handle, ambient, door pocket?
-
Door lights!
Why not buy genuine ones even if they are second hand?

Superb accessories
Skoda-acc.com doesnt even work for me? Kopacek/superskoda is used by many people, never really heard any complaints but their parts are very expensive

SIM card in glove box - sync contacts
I believe the SIM has no functions relating to phone calls or any telephone features. The SIM is only there for data usage for live traffic and other GSM functions. I may be wrong though.

Shouldn’t have to ask this - correct spare wheel pressure?
I mean, you should avoid putting a space saver on wherever possible. But if I have a puncture on the front axle on the motorway, I’m not gonna be wasting time with a double wheel change, I’ll be changing that front wheel and getting out of there (cautiously)

Shouldn’t have to ask this - correct spare wheel pressure?
Whatever you have your vehicle pressures set to, have your spare set to the greater of the two. That way no matter what position the damaged tyre is, the spare will be suitable for front or rear.

A/C not working
It is air conditioning - not air cooling. AC should be used all year round whether hot or cold - its purpose is to dry the air, clean the air and cool the air. After this it passes through the heater matrix to set the correct temperature. By not using the AC you are allowing the system to become dry causing seals to weaken and split allowing leaks. Use air conditioning all year round as that is how it is designed to be used. Regarding the law, it is illegal to knowingly discharge a refrigerant gas into the atmosphere. No oxygen will be used to test the system - most places will run a simple vacuum pressure test to see if it holds pressure and although this will detect large leaks, it will almost be impossible to detect small leaks in the time they run the test, You need a OFN test which is oxygen free nitrogen, the system is pressurised to operating pressure with a gauge attached and the gauge is monitored over a matter of hours to detect a leak - OFN with a tracer gas is often used with a gas sniffer to determine the location of any leaks and pinpoint the component requiring repair or replacement.

6E5DH/28253 undocumented code
There are multiple, you’ll need a better diagnostic tool which will pull the additional code data to tell you A/B/C etc then you can start unplugging to see which one shows open circuit

7 speed DSG clutch...cost?
Funny you tag me in this! im just pricing a clutch replacement up for my partners polo which is a DQ200. it’s not a straight forward job like a manual, you need special tools and the clutch needs shimming correctly to prevent early failure. I would say you are looking around £1000 in a garage for a clutch replacement + the cost of the flywheel A genuine clutch can be had for around £500 at trade. Most places charge £600 for a clutch replacement with the box already out (including parts) so you just have to add the cost of removing the box itself.

Clockspring replacement help
That will be because it doesn’t support steering wheel mounted ccs buttons. as the superb mounts them on the stalk they don’t need to go via the clock spring so no need for it to have that functionality
