  1. The timing chains on these engines are 'lifetime' there is no need to touch the chain unless there are other issues relating to it. The water pump is also not driven off the timing chain but instead, the balance shafts. And please confirm what engine you have and are you sure its a chain driven engine.
  2. The fault code would only be stored if the calibration isn’t carried out. Even if there was a fault for the basic settings it does not void your complete warranty, just anything related to that specific part or causes of it.
  3. This is what you are after: Plug: 03L 971 785A superseeded to 04L 971 785A superseeded to 04L 971 785C Terminals cant be purchased separate for this so you are best with a pigtailed harness and splice it further back.
  4. Im gonna assume you ran the basic settings which wiped the adaptations from the headlight modules - these now need a procedure following to reinstate them
  5. The reason they said no is because there isnt a offical retrofit kit/svm/manual for the facelift superb with an mib3 system. Notice how i said official - it can be done but a main dealer will not touch it. On the subject of calibration - the calibration adjusts the images position central to the car, it also stores the vin in the camera - many many people dont calibrate with really no visible effects except a fault code and that includes retrofitters and main dealers which I think is awful personally... I wouldnt be happy with my car having a fault code in it, so neither should my customers.
  6. Before you touch anything, just answer this question. Have you replaced any of the following lights in the last few days/weeks/months: Interior boot lights Glovebox light Overhead roof lights If so, was it an aliexpress/ebay special? That will be the cause of your fault. If not, let me know and ill start pulling wiring diagrams. All these components that are flashing are linked via the power from the BCM.
  7. You can also use a fizzy drinks can. Cut enough can material to wrap it around the pipe twice, slide it into the pipe and then boom it will pop off.
  8. Most of the time the brake calipers on VAG cars are TRW or ATE calipers Generally the manufacturer of OE brake pads is ATE.
  9. Have you got a photo to confirm what part? Whether its the wiper or complete arm?
  10. There are no basic settings required for a basic headlamp level adjustment. Basic setting is generally for the manual adjustment side of the headlamps. Replace the level sensor which is a fancy potentiometer and you’ll be good to go. Sitting in the back of the car won’t make a big difference as the height adjustment is minimal and is only visible over a very long distance.
  11. Gloss black was my go to. the carbon doesn’t look real/3D and looks just like a wrap.
  12. Yes you can buy a replacement for most parts. it’s a bit late now but tomorrow I’ll find you part numbers for plugs and terminals
  13. If it’s not too far out your way I’m in north London.
  14. Please see my above reply. left speaker - emergency calling (SOS) right speaker - canton
  15. Also a note; You will only have a rear level sensor. the front level sensors are fitted on cars with dcc suspension.
  16. Thank you for coming back with a successful update! Always helps other people that may be looking to do similar retrofits and are searching google/forums
  17. The joys of friction material suspended in the oil with no filter system so the only place it can really collect is on the gauze of the pump. terrible setup really - or at least terrible service advice to not clean the filter from vag
  18. There won’t be any need for a calibration after suspension work for this - the tolerances in suspension components won’t make a massive difference to the basic level sensor system but… there is a chance the sensor is broken or has not been put back on correctly. I’d be asking the garage to double check the work and make sure the levelling sensor hasn’t been damaged.
  19. Clicks and hums can be many things after shutdown including throttle valves, solenoids, relays and if you’re getting a hum it could be the electronic water pumps carrying on their cycle for a bit to help cool the engine down.
  20. I mean, £500 with a oil service, pollen, air filter and gearbox service isn’t an unreadable price at all. in fact I’d go as far as to say it’s a very good price using all genuine parts.
  21. As varooom said, if it’s not there, no one has put it there. When they say it was serviced at 15k and such, maybe it was done elsewhere and they have paper copies as the person that done the work didn’t have erwin? Have you tried asking them for the proof?
  22. OE implies it’s the exact same as the genuine oil, if so, is there any proof of that? Do you mean OEM as in it’s the same manufacturer as the genuine oil?
  23. What is it you are trying to do exactly? Cause ECE1 2019/2020 is the nav data. The screenshots youve provided are of the firmware for the infotainment. And when you say you havent got the correct version and it doesnt work, can you elaborate? Whats actually not working and what are you trying to do?
  24. There are 4 plugs, only difference is one has the pressure sensor. Yes DPF regens do use glow plugs to help increase post combustion/exhaust gas temperatures to aid with DPF regens.
