1.6tdi swap to 2L
I mean, yes it can be done. should it be done? Well that’s a different question out of interest, why would you want to? Is your current engine terminally ill?

Replacement windscreen.
No it hasnt, there is a small groove that the 2 pieces slot together in the centre. It hasnt been put back and although the issues it will cause are minimal other than asthetics, get them out to put it right. PS: If the only issue you had with a windscreen replacement is this, then youve got off very well!

Engine Cover Dealer Delete
I mean, 2 things to add; Its a noise reduction device so it should be there for the drivers own benefit. And also TECHNICALLY its an MOT issue. Rule 8.1.1 of the MOT manual states "You must inspect: under-bonnet noise deadening material fitted as original equipment" and although its not a fail if its missing (as you cant technically test whats not there), I believe it will end up being a problem in the long term. Thats if it isnt already making the vehicle illegal in the constructions and use regulations 1986

Identifying genuine door

Rear Parking Sensors
Thats a whole lot of work. The best thing you can do is disconnect a sensor and see if you get a new fault code. Then that means its not that one. Next to check the wiring, swap 2 sensors over, if the fault follows one of the sensors you know the sensor is the fault.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Not fit for purpose so got a refund on them

VW group fasteners, mostly plastic; images and part numbers
Good find. etka is terrible for finding trim clips - poor descriptions and no photos so this link is really helpful.

Matrix headlight warning message...
Compulsory on xenon lights only as well as a levelling system. For led no washer system is required.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
The superskoda ones are said to be error free. Ive not tried them. The 6 different sets vary from ebay to aliexpress, and the ones i fitted that were good in my quoted post, have now failed also!!!

Lane assist is dangerous
Which part of that specifically prohibits it? Because saying if you change/mess with something it is excluded from the warranty is common practice and completely fair. But you are saying it voids your entire warranty? Which i cant see anywhere.

When a new Lambda sensor doesn't work
It all depends on the fault code, what code are you getting and what tool are you using to read it?

When a new Lambda sensor doesn't work
Thats your first mistake - there is no diagnostic tool on this planet that is able to tell you your lambda sensor is faulty using the cars own diagnosis. The fault code may of stated a lambda fault was detected but this could be many things including: Bad wiring Bad ecu Bad sensor Erroneous readings coming in to the sensor Readings coming in to the sensor being out of spec ] The only and correct way of actually testing to see if your lambda sensor is faulty is to eliminate all of the other parts first. Whereas you have done it the other way round and replaced the sensor to eliminate that but have left the possibility of all the other faults

What DSG ‘box do I have?
The other sure fire way of checking is: Look down the back of the engine bay between engine and battery for the oil filter housing on the top of the gearbox. No oil filter housing = DQ200 Oil filter housing black and pointing upwards = DQ250 Oil filter housing black or heat shield on it and pointing towards the cabin = DQ380/381

Lane assist is dangerous
In a perfect world yes, but we are only human and even the most experienced and trained person can miss something. Also a 'form of advanced driver training' doesnt automatically make you a good driver - same way having a certificate saying youre a plumber doesnt automatically make you a good plumber.

Lane assist is dangerous
Got any proof of this - or just something said to scare people?

Skoda Superb Rattling noise after changing the Timing belt and water pump
My money is on the timing cover or heat shield is not fitted correctly at the back of the engine and it’s vibrating against something. Either way I’d be getting the garage that done the work to take a look at it again.

Open tailgate
Yes it can be done. I’ve done it on my own car and a few customer cars. coding wise if fairly straight forward but takes a bit of fiddling - if I remember there’s a pretty good write up about it on the Ross tech forum that covered a similar car and a lot of discussion around it also.

Method of Bleeding the Cooling System Without Special Tool?
You haven’t told us what engine you have? im going to assume a tdi. If that’s the case then simply fill the coolant to the top and you need to run the odis bleed routine called ‘cooling system vent’ it’s a 900second routine that runs all pumps at different stages. You don’t need to vacuum fill the coolant system although it does help if you had one. now if you have a different engine please let us know

DCC Slider adjustment option mod
It is somewhat generic and that’s where my issue lies with how people are doing this mod. the gateway dataset contains huge amount of details specific to certain cars so the correct way of doing it is to download the correct dataset using odis, modify it, then reupload. whereas a lot of people are just taking this dataset and putting it on their car, and if it’s an auto/manual, different engine setup, 2nd/4wd, different current consumers will all have an impact on the dataset that should be used. im not saying you will have issues as not everyone will, it could match up with your car, but for some they will have issues like the mode select screen showing features they don’t have for example.

Request: Someone with a superb with a passenger memory seat.
You’re amazing thanks! Thats much appreciated

DCC Slider adjustment option mod
To me that sounds more like an unintentional side effect of the dataset used. To do this mod properly you should be taking your cars dataset and modifying it, but instead it seems that people are just taking a generic dataset and uploading it which means it might not be the exact one for their car and other things may change also. that’s just my theory on it, was your own dataset modified or was it just one found online that was uploaded?

Request: Someone with a superb with a passenger memory seat.
On the side of the connector that the wires go into there is a small plastic tab that needs lifting a few mm then the entire inside of the plug slides out in the direction the wires go in

Car windows open when the car is not in use
'convenience open' is when you hold the unlock button on the key and all the windows go down. Any chance you are doing that?
