  1. Right on the money, fuse 8 runs the canbus gateway which is the link to the obd socket. I wonder if the poster has had any work done recently, dash cam, radio work or anything?
  2. What makes you think there is no power? Have you checked with a multi meter? Or just plugged a code reader in? If so, what code reader
  3. Needs scanning to find fault codes. Possible wheel speed sensor fault
  4. Whether it fits or not is not the issue, the issue is - gearboxes have codes because there are differences - whether thats gearing, software, optional extras, different driveshaft cups, different selectors. Just because it came out of a superb doesnt mean it will work. On top of that the mk3 uses the gearbox as part of the immobiliser, the mk2 i dont believe does, the car will not start.
  5. No chance of doing a 2Q0 camera with OBD11, needs to be hacked with a special swap codes to enable tsr
  6. Not a chance. Don’t even try
  7. If its from a mk2 superb, then no it wont be compatible at all. The older superb isnt on a platform, new one is on MQB platform
  8. Depends on if its keyless entry. You will be able to open the boot with a hold of the middle button. Closing can be done when standing near the rear bumper and holding the same button.
  9. Brand, model? If its a handheld thing, its not gonna read anything, dont waste your time and money
  10. Personally i hate the things, got in the car once and sliced the top of my knee open on them, in the bin after that.
  11. The only reasons people would be doing this is - they are fitting a bigger turbo and running more boost so need the extra bar of pressure. And if they are running that much more power then they will need more fuel, hence the RS3 pump. Its not a case of just fitting parts and youre done, especially not the map sensor, this would require a remap at minimum.
  12. What OBD reader have you ordered - a lot will read very basic engine stuff, nothing else.
  13. Welcome, the car will need plugging in to check for fault codes ideally to see what the cause is. Could be a broken wire or a short circuit causing it.
  14. Nope it will be just fine, i have a rear camera too and its got no issues.
  15. I mean it pops up for all of 5 seconds and then it is gone, youre driving at the time so if you cant wait 5 seconds before touching the screen then you must be coming to a stop shortly in which case why adjust the temperate anyway? I dunno, just seems like youre picking a inconvenience that is really not a major issue in any situation.
  16. Antennas are built into the rear window yes, and on estates they are also built into the rear quarterlights.
  17. So many things here to digest. The cat wouldnt be blocking on the diesel, it would be the diesel particulate filter, these block up either through not enough extended driving or a fault somewhere. All newer diesels have a DPF filter. Regarding petrols they now fit GPF which is the petrol equivilant but this is brand new and only been on cars for a few years. They dont block up nearly as bad but again it all depends on if there are faults and how you drive the car. Any superb up to 2019 is guaranteed not to have a GPF but even if it did have one, they dont block up except for a fault or user error
  18. WHY ARE YOU STILL USING CAPITALS EVERYWHERE? But to answer your question although you were rude earlier, there is no such thing as a Major service nowadays with volkswagen group cars. You get a standard service where they do an oil and filter change and a very basic check over of the car. You then get a standard service + extended scope where they do a slightly more thorough look over the car but still only includes an oil and filter change. Everything after that; spark plugs, air filter, pollen filter, timing belt, fuel filter, dsg service, haldex service, brake fluid are all "optional" extras that have recommend times and mileages they should be changed at. Its not a case of Minor, Major, Minor, Major every year now.
  19. When you say deep sleep, what are you referring to? leaving the car for a long time? Disconnecting the battery?
  20. WHY ARE WE SHOUTING???? But in all seriousness, just phone the dealer and book your car in?
  21. What engine? and out of the over 30/40 sensors and actuators on an engine an engine management light could literally be 100s of things. Chances of it being a maf sensor needing a clean is slim to none and to be honest they don’t really fail nowadays with hot film instead of hot wire sensors. A cheap obd scanner is exactly that, cheap and will do very basic things and even then it won’t be 100% accurate all the time and won’t give any manufacturer fault details, just generic stuff. Garages pay £1000s for the equipment to do everything but on the other hand a lot of people would recommend cheaper home alternatives like OBD11 or VCDS as long as you’re using it for specific cars and purposes.
  22. Vehicle - Settings - Driver assistant systems - Traffic sign recognition
  23. Youll have to create a thread to show this one off. The Earlier mk3 Superb's didnt even have this as an option and only the brand new ones do in the UK. Our parts catalogue doesnt even list the lower wing mirror covers with the holes for camera. That being said as long as you get all relevant parts that fit, coding and wiring should be no different to any other car on the MQB platform that has this option EDIT: Just looked on the catalogue and there isnt even an option for 'with 360 camera' grill for anything up 2018 ANOTHER EDIT: 07/19 onwards is when there is an available grill for the front 360 camera, the grill youve pictured is also for the likes of this as you can see the radar bracket is tiny and just clips into the grill unlike the older 3v which bolted to a bracket behind the grill, not attached at all. It might be a job of making a custom grill as I dont believe you can fit new to older.
  24. Well, now im off work with covid it gives me time to strip the interior and do the canton retrofit. Only issue is! MY CAR is still at the bodyshop and i cant go pick it up!!!!
