You didn't read my mods list then?? Remap Green Filter Samco TIP Samco IC Hoses 3" Downpipe 100 Cell Race Cat 3" Exhaust with single sports silencer Think 287 is still an optimistic number tho - doesn't feel like it's that much if you know what I mean!

Go for the LCR!! The mods list on mine is just a little long, but I enjoy driving it still every time!! Only thing you will notice after a bit of ownership is that the suspension isn't that great... I've been trying to save up for some coilovers now for a while, but keep spending the cash on other things!! :( Mods list on mine looks like this: Done:Tints | Sun Strip | Chrome Reg Surrounds | Chrome Grille Surrounds | Chrome Mirrors | 2 Alloy Tax Holders | Fabia Wiper | Aero Front Wipers | Forge 007P | Red Samco TIP & Upper IC Hoses | S3 Upper Strut Brace | Powerflex Dogbone Bush | Black Compomotive MO 18" alloys running GSD3's | Green Filter with COLD air feed | A&M 3" DP & 100 Cell Race Cat | A&M Single Silencer Stainless 3" Zorst | Ferrodo Pads | Autowindow Reflex | Monster ICE Install In the Garage: 5mm Eibach Spacers | Oil Temp, Oil Pressure & Turbo Gauges | Black & Red TT 17" Wheels (for track days) | TT Arch Vents Wish List: Coilovers & ARB's Oh, and did I mention Jabba claim 287bhp & 295lb/ft from it? 287bhp I think is a tad optimistic tho!!

Saying that, part of the problem could just be the laptop itself... I used to have (until it died :() a Toshipa Satellite Pro with an AMD K6-2 366mhz processor, 32mb ram and a seperate 4mb for the graphics... only started to run properly on win98 when the ram was upped to the max of 160mb... ...a friend who has a packard bell with a celeron processor, and 192mb ram after the intergrated graphics has been taken out has always complained of a slow laptop that eats battery and gets very hot (due to high processor usage when doing nothing). Compare that to the 2 dell laptops I'm running now, 1 with 512mb ram, and the other 1gb, and with centrino procesors, where the battery lasts forever and the processor useage sits at 0 - 5%... So, what am I saying? The laptop will always run a bit on the slower side due to the processor, and is not helped by not having exactly a lot of RAM. OK the likes of spyware and adware will seriously hamper the performance, but once sorted out, you would be good advising a RAM upgrade to your friend as well, because it will make the machine run so much better!! Programs worth installing: Spybot Search & Destroy Sypware Blaster Adaware You can get them from this site

GT4: Fastest "arcade" car around Nurburgring!?
CupraR-Rog replied to devonutopia's topic in The Technology Shed
What you want to do is whack the economy tyres onto some of these monster machines... and then see if you can get it around the track!! -
You want to keep the rca's as far away from anything as possible... with my car I ran the power cable down the passenger side with the passenger side speaker wire... driver's side just had the speaker wires for that side, and then the rca's, and cd changer cable were run down the transmission hump... was great fun stripping all that interior out!! less fun putting it back in tho!! (still got bits left over!)

Could you 'take@ a remap off another car??
CupraR-Rog replied to MrChris's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
Take ecu's out of both cars, pop Revo'd one into yours, stock into the one in the dealers, re-set the immobilisers using vag-com / diagnostics... drive to the nearest person you know with an SPS device, switch it on and enjoy!! -
What are good tyres for the Superb
CupraR-Rog replied to keddzs's topic in Skoda Superb Mk I (2001-2008)
It may be the imbalance of the grippy conti's on the front, and the not-grippy pirelli's on the back that's the issue... I'd advise at this stage to get 2 more contis to match the rears, then rotate your tyres so all 4 wear out together next time and try something else... As for the Falken Ziex ZE512 tyres... I've had them on a previous car. Long lasting, quiet and comfortable, but the wet grip wasn't too good! -
I can't believe he put 95ron unleaded in it tho!! Considering how rare the car is that he was driving - did they say only 50 road going versions? Personally, if it was me with all that cash, I'd be looking at only bringing the car out every now and then... and definately not in the snow!!
-
Very bright neons!!! Brighter than I ever had! Nicely done tho!!
-
Well, I think it looks good!!
-
The sound of that engine... I like!!
