  1. Surely using google maps via Android Auto or Apple Carplay is going to be more reliable for traffic routing than the Skoda satnav?
  2. Sure, if you are using that. Most of the time people aren't and it's very easy to switch lane assist on and off. I haven't used ACC at all so far and it's not something you'd use on country roads or in town where lane assist is most annoying.
  3. Very good. I have found it dreadful in the past compared to other meassageboards.
  4. I disable lane assist because it's annoying. I don't want to feel unnecessary "reminder nudges" when I'm focusing on the road. As I've already pointed out you feel it when you are deliberately off-centre on the road and there can be legitimate reasons for being off the centre line. I doubt many people purchased the car because it has lane assist. It was forced upon us - bundled in with everything else.
  5. I got the message again today about the 1941 update. It never happened and nothing in notifications about it.
  6. Is it Skoda Connect LITE?
  7. How much does it cost as an extra? Sounds a bit of a luxury feature
  8. I miss the SD card slot. I used to have my music on an SD car in the mk3
  9. Is that easy to do? What's wrong with start/stop?
  10. I doubt it's anything specific to UK roads. There are times it is better to position your car to one side of the lane you are in and feeling the steering tug is just irritating. If you're driving on country roads it gets very annoying.
  11. It irritates me that it's always on when you start up as I end up switching it off every trip when I notice it pulling the steering wheel.
  12. @RootedI didn't manage to charge at Leith as I discovered my Shell card is fuel only. No idea why as work only issued us with them a couple of months ago knowing we were getting hybrids. I need to have a word with my manager about that. Aren't the chargers at Straiton 85p per kWh or something?
  13. Yep, cold affects diesels too. My mpg used to drop in my old car in cold weather.
  14. It just starts in electric so you're not causing pollution when you pull away. Also so that you're not sitting with the engine running when you start up.
  15. Don't forget some electricity will be used for air conditioning, lights etc. Also if you're accelerating heavily that will use more than pulling away gently. I have noticed when the charge is at zero miles it will show it's charging the battery sometimes while my foot is on the accelerator pedal on flat or even slightly uphill roads. It must be putting resistance into the regenerative braking which means more petrol is being used than normal.
  16. Got it working today. I think the app in the car wasnt able to connect on previous days.
  17. I'm still waiting and nothing is showing:
  18. I have experienced the same.
  19. I had a message when I was driving saying the 1941 update was available and I told it to download but when I got home it hadn't updated and there was nothing about the update in settings. Still on 1940.
  20. How much does it cost to get a wall charger fitted?
  21. Yeah just want to try it out. I'll probably stay an hour. Home charger seems to be working:
  22. I need to get an external socket wired up. I actually have an external socket that was installed by my ex's father years ago but an electrician checked the wiring and said it was dangerous. I've tried an extension cord but it didn't seem to work with that. Btw it's 25p
