Skoda Karoq 1.5 SE L. - auto locking question
There are two Auto relocking methods 1) Walk-Away autolock which locks as soon as the key is out of range. As discussed above this is only available with later Kessy systems and if it is fitted then there is an option in the settings Vehicle > Exterior Settings > Opening and Closing, to toggle Walk-Away Locking . 2) Passive auto relock This should work on all Karoqs If you unlock the car using the remote or by touching the handle sensor, but do not open any of the doors within a specific timeframe (usually 30 to 45 seconds), the car will automatically lock itself again.

1.5 Tsi Power Cutting Out
It's not a problem if you have a DSG box. It will automatically change down to avoid the revs dropping low enough to cause the stall

Sportline tyre change?
Changing to a 225/45/R19 will increase the rolling circumference by 3.4%. That's 2.4mph at 70mph. So the first thing to check is that your speedo currently overreads by at least 2.4mph at 70mph. Speedos can legally overread by up to 10% but can NOT underread!. Then there's the issue of is the 225/45/R19 profile an approved spec for the car. It is for the 4x4 Karoq but AFAIK not for the 2wd. So you may have insurance issues , you would need to confirm its ok with your insurance co.

Child seat, front seat
Whilst some Skoda models (Kodiak,Kamiq & Scala) appear to have Isofix as standard on the front passenger seat, it seems the Karoq may not. However there appears to be an optional kit to allow Isofix mounting to the front seat. Google 'skoda karoq isofix front seat' and check whether your vehicle already has Isofix mounts.

Skoda Karoq Rwar Wiper Choice
There's pictures of both the 331H & 335H in this thread https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/517703-correct-rear-wiper-for-karoq-sportline-2023/ The consensus seems to be that the change affects 2022 models onwards but just compare your current ones with the pictures

Space Saver spare wheel.
Because of the difference in rolling circumference between the space-saver and normal tyre, if nothing else, I would have thought that any use on the front would increase stress on the differential. So is probably only recommended for very short duration

Heated front screen option?
According to te brochure, heated screen is part of the 'Winter Package Plus' which is standard on the Sportline Edition and optional on the SEL Edition https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/c63f4efb-a760-4a48-931f-baad88d42aa6 edit: @cnc beat me to it

Bosch wipers for 2025 Karoq.
I rescued my A864S front set from my 2021 SEL when I got my Oct 2024 SEL. They fit perfectly but as has been said above , the rear one is different

Trying to Understand Android Auto and Skoda Amundsen together
Its a while since I first connected my phone to my current Karoq but I'm fairly sure that whether to use AA was an option on the setup. In my case, I would have selected yes, because I use Waze as my nav system. I found the built-in nav so awful on my previous Karoq that I went straight to Waze via AA on this one!.

Trying to Understand Android Auto and Skoda Amundsen together
The car has built-in wifi as well as bluetooth. The wifi can be used as a hotspot if you have a subscription using its built in sim card. However the wifi is also used to make the Android auto connection to the phone. When you pair the phone with the car using bluetooth, if the phone and car support Android auto , then the pairing sequence automatically connects the phone (via wifi) to the cars builtin wifi. Android auto will in itself not use any (well maybe just a little!) mobile data on the phone. Only if you run an app such as google maps which needs an internet connection will the phone use mobile data. Disabling Android auto on the phone ought to still allow you to connect via bluetooth and use the phone hands free . You may have to delete, on the car, any existing pairing of that phone and then re-pair it. Having disabled AA , when re-pairing the car should recognise that the phone now doesnt support AA and make a normal hands free bluetooth connection. Well at least that's what I think should happen...

Trying to Understand Android Auto and Skoda Amundsen together
@Barneyboy48 when you connect an Android phone to the car, if Android auto is enabled on both the car and phone, then it will automatically start. To prevent this, Android auto must be disabled on either the phone of the car, then the phone will just establish a normal bluetooth connection. The method suggested by @Rbz5416 is one option, there are others depending on the options available on the car settings. Have a read through this https://carpuride.com/blogs/news/how-to-turn-off-android-auto

Visual clarity through my Karoq heated windscreen
There are two types of heated windscreen. The older type is 'wire mesh' which uses a network of very fine wires, often tungsten, which are embedded between two sheets of glass. The later type is 'conductive film' which uses an invisible metallic or silver-based coating sealed between the layers of glass. I suspect that Skoda changed from the 'wire mesh' to the 'conductive film' type around the MY24 time.

That doesnt seem to work on later (sometime in 2024 onwards) vehicles. Certainly doesnt on my Aug 2024 build!.

Problem with KESSY key after battery replacement
I believe the non-Kessy keys use CR2025 and the Kessy ones CR2032. I replaced batteries in both of the Kessy keys on my previous MY2021 Karoq. Used Panasonic batteries bought on Amazon. Both times just removed old battery & replaced with new one, worked fine. Only difficulty is getting the fob open in the first place!. Haven't had to replace any on current car yet (that's tempting fate!) , which reminds me, need to put spare battery in wallet!

2022 Karoq - unable to get correct rear wiper replacement
@Piescoffer attached photos of my wiper arm and blade. You might want to read through this thread https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/517703-correct-rear-wiper-for-karoq-sportline-2023/ Although most supplier reference data seems to think the change happened in 2023 it seems it actually happened earlier ( maybe 2021 ? ) Here's the ebay link from which I got mine https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335015979801 and it says its compatible with the OEM 565955425B referred to above TBH unless they've magically improved over the last year , I wouldnt go anywhere near the OEM ones. On my previous Karoq I replaced the front ones after two weeks, they were awful. On this car, I just replaced the originals with the 3 year old Bosch ones!. I never bothered to replace the rear on the old car but it was terrible on this one and so it too had to be replaced within a few days edit: just looking at this other thread https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/523328-wiper-blades/#comment-5857130 There's a photo of the two blades together , the A335H above and the A331H below Hope that helps
