  1. I’d wondered if it was perhaps something ‘invisible’ on that section of the windscreen but have cleaned it thoroughly several times to no avail. Have now bitten the bullet and ordered a set of Bosch Aerotwin blades. I’m not sure whether these might be the make that are already fitted, unfortunately there’s no obvious branding or logos to suggest what they are. I’ve had Aerotwin on previous cars without any issue so let’s see how we get on 🤞 Got to be worth £20 to get shot of the irritating noise.
  2. Looks like you need to get a quicker mobile 😏
  3. I’ve cleaned the wipers with normal car shampoo, Rain-x rain repellant, but neither makes much difference when the wipers are on normal or intermittent setting. They clear the screen, it’s just the irritating ‘scraping’ noise. Will check what blades are fitted and perhaps try swapping them. I’ve had Bosch Aeros on previous cars and never experienced this problem
  4. Unless it’s chucking it down the wipers make a bit of a noise sweeping the screen; it’s not mechanical it’s the actual noise of the rubber blades on the screen and it’s 🤬 irritating. Have previously cleaned the blades with Rain-x but seems to make little difference. Doesn’t seem anything that can be adjusted so may just try changing the blades unless anyone has any other thoughts?
  5. I actually posted up a thread under the Tyres and Wheels section a couple of days ago. Search it under ‘Michelin offer’ Just found the email I got - basically buy 2 or more and claim up to £100 depending upon tyre size. Offer code PIM4FY
  6. We have a 2020 Sportline dsg that came with the awful 19in Bridgestones on Vega rims. Within a month I fitted Michelin CrossClimate2s, completely changed the cars handling. Had them previously on a Subaru Forester and then Freelander, never been disappointed. Got a decent deal through Camskill and at the time, as indeed now, Michelin were running a cashback offer and the £60 pretty much covered my tyreman’s fitting costs. I posted details of the deal under the tyre section although it does appear on the company’s site
  7. Thank you. Have done that so hopefully will weed out some of the stuff I don’t generally look at. Knowing now how it’s filtered, like you, I can’t see there’s any way to drop sub-sections within any of the remaining sections. If there is then perhaps someone from Admin will pick up on the post and let us all know
  8. He went into it in great detail on the Martin Lewis Money Saving Show on ITV on Tuesday. Worth a watch if you think it may be relevant.
  9. Thanks Paws, may help . . . but how do you filter out those sub-forums. Like you, I’ve no interest in the Enyaq and indeed many other sections so would be good to get shot of those
  10. Using the ‘unread content’ filter will allow me to see all the posts I’ve not previously read but since there’s some items I’ve got no interest in they will obviously continue to reappear every time I log on. Apart from opening each thread to suggest it’s been read, is there any way I can go in and clear everything down, leaving me a clean sheet as it word every time I log out? Have tried the ‘mark site read’ filter but that still seems to leave those threads I’ve not read. Hope that makes sense 🤞
  11. I used Camskill many years ago and then again last year for the CrossClimates as they had a special deal on just at the time I was looking to buy. I’m pretty sure though the Michelin cashback offer is available regardless of where you buy them, ‘Tyres on the Drive’ or whatever they’re called would surely be a qualifying retailer. So you buy from ‘TotD’ at their price and then claim cashback from Michelin. I’m fortunate in that I’ve found a very good independent tyre place less than five mile away and trust them for advice as well as their work
  12. Thanks any way
  13. Where in NKent are you? I’m still under warranty so using Marshall’s near the tunnel but would be interested to hear if you’ve found a good Indy for the future
  14. I replaced the awful 19in Bridgestones on our Karoq just after we bought it last year with Michelin CrossClimate2s. I’d previously had them on a Subaru Forester and Land Rover Freelander and never been disappointed. Check out the Tyre section here as I posted up a Michelin offer I’d received - cashback for a minimum of 2 tyres from any retailer and up to £100 for 4, depending on size. Bought mine at a discounted price through Camskill and then took the cashback offer although they were only giving £60, mind you that pretty much covered my fitters costs 👍
  15. Welcome to fellow Karoq Sportline owner from SELondon/Kent border
  16. Had an email today from Michelin, up to £100 off purchasing two or more tyres. Cashback varies on number of tyres bought and size. There are T&Cs, dates etc. Details at offer.michelin.co. uk/pim4-uk
  17. I was offered that service plan however we’d not had the car long and it came with the warranty and breakdown cover. Tried negotiating an alternate arrangement with the dealer but no-go so passed on it
  18. BTandSid replied to a post in a topic in Škoda Scala
Hayward and Scott.com made me a straight through stainless steel exhaust for my Subaru Impreza many years ago. It retained that lovely Subaru ‘burble’ .They were well known in the Scooby community
  19. Agrred, probably not insured either.
  20. We’ve had our Karoq since May last year and yet it’s only in the last month I’ve played around with the drive modes. I’m now using Eco for local stuff, popping to the shops etc Normal is then selected when the road speeds are a little higher and Sport when on a motorway or similar. Yet to use Individual. Most notable differences are the speed when pulling away from stationary, more instantaneous acceleration and the steering assistance. Difficult to say about mpg as my driving varies week in week out. Obviously this would be easier to gauge if I were still working and using the car on the same journey day to day
  21. We bought a 2020 Sportline 1.5dsg last year and find that it can be moved along at a brisk pace. Having said we came came from a Freelander so anything by comparison would have felt brisk 😄 One of the reasons we bought the Sportline was for the panoramic roof, let’s in a lot of light on a dull day. Only real complaint was with the OEM 19in Vega rims which were an absolute pita, literally. Felt every pothole and bump. Swapped the Bridgestones for Michelin CrossClimates 2, absolute pleasure by comparison and Significant Other no longer spends every trip looking out for holes in the road.
  22. Mines a 2020 Sportline but would think it’s the same. There’s a setting somewhere in the infotainment system that allows the strip lighting to be changed, but 🤬 if I can remember exactly where, sorry. Sure there’s a setting for all the lighting, it won’t have been hidden away else I’d have never have come across it 😂
  23. Perhaps just leave all the systems to kick-in upon start up? When I start up there’s a short period 10-15 seconds, never really timed it) before everything appears on the info screen and I wonder if that’s why you don’t get reversing camera immediately although personally never had that message
  24. No umbrella in our 2020 Sportline when we bought it used. Dealer said he’d replace it before we took the car, which he did, but sadly the replacement was a little too big to sit in the cubby hole under the seat. It lives in the door pocket instead
  25. Welcome. Afraid I can’t help with your query as mines a 2020 with an ‘old school’ instrument panel, dials 😏
