Keyless entry works, but fails to lock the car.
Perhaps the fob batteries are dead/dying?

20% Off Skoda Service Plans until 2nd April
I agree with the rationale, the basic plan is going to cost me £393.60, the plus plan £542.40, the only difference being the plugs and it’d be better and indeed cheaper to get those changed separately with the yr4 service. Thank you I had an email from the dealers advising the breakdown cover was to November 2025 but will certainly check it.

20% Off Skoda Service Plans until 2nd April
Sorry but not for the first time I’m confused or perhaps it’s just another grey moment. Our Sportline was registered in November 2020 and was bought in April last year and it came with warranty until April 2025 and roadside cover until November 2025 so to my way of thinking the fact that there’s roadside cover makes the all-in-one plan unnecessary. Now this is what’s confusing me. Looking at Skodas service schedules am I right to think in yr4 I get the oil and inspection (£220) plugs and pollen filter but in yr5 the oil and extended inspection (£285) - air filter doesn’t appear until yr6? If that’s correct and the plugs are a minimum of £120 by my reckoning that makes the £22.60 worthwhile. Perhaps someone would confirm my thoughts are right. Sorry, but I’ve never been involved with service plans before and the concept of a dealer offering something for below what the servicing would otherwise cost is a novel one to me. Appreciate they get the money upfront but still seems a reasonably decent deal. Thank you

Key fob battery
I bought a couple of Duracell 2025 this morning and have swapped out the one in the fob that Significant Other carries about ‘just in case’. They were both replaced by the dealer when we bought the car a year ago so I suspect that battery has died through lack of use as she’s not driven for well over 10 years. Think I’ll have to get into the habit of alternating use between that fob and the one I use daily.

Karoq sportline seat wear/strange marks
We’ve a 2020 Karoq Sportline and there’s occasionally similar issues on the drivers seat, looks like watermarks? I assumed I’d spilt something, although very rarely drink in the car, so I shampooed seats left them to dry and all ok but a few days later there were a few marks reappearing although the seat was dry. Marks disappear when given a rub. Strange 🤔 Anyone had any idea what may be the cause. Could it be something with the seat wadding?

Key fob battery
We’ve a 2020 Sportline and had the low key-fob battery warning pop up, it seems to be the fob that Significant Other carries around in her bag in case we ever need it (I’ve only known her drive twice in the past 15 years 😏) ‘My’ key fob’s ok, but must remember to alternate usage in future. I digress . . . . our fobs have the 2025 battery and yet I’ve read posts on here suggesting the 2032 is correct? Or do they vary across the Skoda range? Thought the difference was purely the thickness in which case the 2032 looks as if it’ll be a tight fit in the fob. Update - just found a YouTube item pointing out the battery size is stamped on the inside of the fob which I wasn’t aware of and didn’t see without my glasses on 😂 Seems I need the thinner one, the 2025

Automatic change between standard and summer time ("daylight saving time")
If it’s not going to change automatically what’s the point of having GMT/BST settings 🤔

Map light .....
The fact that the map lights have to be physically switched on was the rationale behind my suggesting they’d remain on. Be interesting to hear fro OP when he gets back

Crazy car design
Those long strip lights front and back seem to be commonplace now on most EVs

Map light .....
Personally I think they stay on but for your sake would be happy to be proved wrong

Triangular lamp under matrix lights
We’ve had a 2020 Karoq Sportline for just under a year and it’s the first car we’ve had with the ‘turning lights’ . I must confess I’d never given a thought to which lights were illuminating. Perhaps have to look 😄

Eco (cruising) - how does that really work ?
So you have no mode selector? In that case I can’t see that you’re going to be able to

debadge?
I have black lettering on our 2020 Sportline (same colour as yours) and it looks better than the silver. Sorry, but personally I don’t like it rebadged

Second hand Karoq advice
We bought a 2020 Sportline last year that came (imho) on the awful 19in Bridgestones and I swapped them out for Michelin CrossClimate2s within the first month or so, changed the ride immeasurably. As for the satnav the only issue I had initially was with the basic inputting of a destination postcode. Raising a query on the forum I was made aware that the selected postcode would in fact take me to the centre of the postcode. That’s fine for locations such as National Trust sites etc that would be marked on the map but a pita if needing to find say a property. Inputting a street address now resolves the issue, although I believe there are a few members living in more remote regions that don’t always have street names to go by. Apart from that, we’ve had no issues with the car. We came out of a Land Rover Freelander and so access and seating position were a consideration for us

Steering wheel Clamps, added security?
Think it’s the 4TRESS that I’ve got , not Strongarm as I originally suggested. Been using it so long the letterings worn off 😏

Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6s on a 2021 2.0TSI
Our 2020 Sportline came with the 19in Bridgestones and had to get shot of them within about 6 weeks as the ride was so uncomfortable, felt every pothole and bump in the road. Swapped them for Michelin CrossClimate2s, like chalk and cheese, an absolute revelation

Additional extras worth having I feel....
Never realised there was such a thing as a protector for the info screen. Its novel but a good idea I reckon, probably better to wipe the protector over when it gets covered in fingerprints than the screen directly.

24 hour clock
Assumed that to be the case, so why have the two settings 🤔

A Couple of Questions
We have a 2020 Sportline so not sure the satnavs the same. In ours, to delete previous destinations you need to press the figure (?) icon down the left hand side which brings up a list of previous destinations which you can then clear by swiping left as you would do as if it were an iPhone. Hope that’s right, difficult thinking it through when not sitting in the car 😏 As for share my location, think that’s one of the things that’ll appear every time you switch on the ignition, clear by ‘ok’

24 hour clock
Had to alter the time on my Karoq last week and noticed the DST setting. What’s the significance of this, does the clock change automatically twice a year?
