  1. If you take it to your mot garage they have a probe to put down the dipstick to check temp
  2. It's just when I am preparing cars for sale. I've noticed a lot of EVs have higher temps, not sure if they need driving for a bit first or just need recharge.
  3. Just what I have noticed over the years on customers vehicles.
  4. I find they seem to wear a lot quicker, especially on the edges. What sort of miles are you getting out of the fronts?
  5. I'm not familiar with the gpf tbh, maybe it has a nox sensor that's flagging the fault.
  6. Temp measurement at the drivers vent open with all vents closed and recirculation on. Is that the best way to measure the coolest temperature? I'm using a probe no VCDS. Just talking about general checks. How long should you have to wait for temperature to stabilise?
  7. What sort of temps would you say is good after regas? I've had cars anywhere from 9C to 2C. Obviously ambient temperature effects that. Is ambient -10C ok?
  8. I don't really like the aggressive v pattern tyres tbh, any suggestions for the conventional pattern?
  9. Could be the scanner your using, have you tried a different one to see what it comes back with? I've got similar engine, mines the dpca, is yours dada?
  10. What's the exact code? Could be a leak somewhere that flags the code.
  11. So all season tyres are quieter than summer tyres?
  12. I have just under 52000 miles.
  13. Try a long pick to pull up the security tab and then press the plug while pulling it. That code is exhaust pressure sensor not boost pressure sensor.
  14. How often should the gpf regen? Haven't seen it yet on my car but I've done less than 1000 miles.
  15. I'd recommend getting it done professionally, least that way if you have a leak you won't be wasting your money on gas.
  16. You could always try the vacuum cleaner method 🙂
  17. Did you use smallest allocation size when formatting?
  18. I imagine they did a relearn of the gearbox when doing the map?
  19. That code seems to relate to oil level sensor. Any chance it could be trying to do a regen for the gpf?
  20. Ah right sorry I thought you were on MK3, I couldn't see what car it was.
  21. It is a small engine chugging about a big car but that seems like it's getting a bit warm. Any other issues alongside? What is the service history? Has it got the right spec oil?
  22. Do a compression check next time you have the plugs out.
  23. Steering motor is also not uncommon on them. Note for greasing the shaft and bump stop on shocks with silicone grease too.
  24. What are you looking for a parasitic drain on the battery?
