  1. What sort of cable is it? Does it have a self adhuster/ ratchet mechanism? You should have some fee play on the pedal. If over adjusted then the clutch may slip.
  2. I've had the airbox off it's only a few minute job. I'll have another look at later date. Lol must be the one with the lethal spring clips and the screws underneath is it?
  3. Thanks, shame my vin won't go in
  4. Seems cheap for the 1.5 as you need to get the cam angles right, I know the diesel pumps well. Put an aftermarket one on a while ago and it was broken from the get go. Car overheated once you got to high speed. Switched for a genuine and all was ok.
  5. I'd have thought the sel would one of the quietest models to have. Have you got parcel shelf installed as that can make a huge difference.
  6. No sorry mine is the last of the MK3, I would imagine the MK4 is quieter though. I have Dunlop sp sport blue response rear and continental efficient grip on front I think, tyres are old and in need of replacement but the noise is acceptable considering. 205/55/16.
  7. I could have done it for you half price and been paid well. Shame your in Kent 😆
  8. Can't agree with that one
  9. Id definitely be bedding it in for around 3-500 miles. No harsh acceleration or load on the clutch. But I guess you maybe have already done that?
  10. Does it have the self adjusting clutch?
  11. Well the older Kias did suffer from a lot of nvh, very solid cars, but the later stuff is far better.
  12. Did you used the reach and rake to adjust the steering wheel up down and toward you?
  13. I had a mk2 Renault Mégane, best car I've had tbh. Was the most comfortable and quietest car I've ever driven even with ling long tyres.
  14. Hello please can anyone help me with the part number for the 3 rubber buffers/grommets that hold the lower part of the air filter housing in? Can't remember that website people sometimes use. Thanks. Octavia 3 TDI.
  15. Well the comparable vehicles in jap cars/dacia aren't much better
  16. Try driving something like a Dacia sandero, flat 500, vauxhall viva. Suzuki's are pretty bad too. All very noisy on the road.
  17. Just make sure you clean up the corrosion from both the wheel and brake disc mating face and torque to 120/140nm whichever your is. You want to get the et correct really or might have to fit spacers.
  18. I've been looking at the XTool D9s pro for around £659, universal scanner, says it does key programming and VAG special functions/coding.
  19. Can't you get one of the lads to do a govvy job? Probably take about 2.5-3 hours to do, parts maybe £200-250
  20. The master tech at work won't let us use his AC machine, unless he's on holiday it gets used 🤫
  21. Attach vacuum cleaner to oil filler. Remove sensor and fit new one 😁
  22. There may be some plastic tabs that have broken off when you removed the rubber.
  23. I'd be replacing the battery before anything else, you can't diagnose modern car properly with a good voltage! You will have all sorts of communication codes, you won't know where to start or start looking at the wrong stuff.
  24. Ev definitely have flexible/rubber hoses. Running under and around the car to cool battery etc.
